[Q] Advise a Custom ROM

Hi ! I'm italian ..i have a NEXUS S I9023 and i would like to install a custom rom , i don't choose because are all beatiful. I would like to install Miui because the custom rom based on 4.0.3 it's so beatiful but the battery during no more than 12 hours. Given i am italian , i can install : MIUI 2.3.7C or MIUI 2.2.24 ( pending language pack) .. which is better and why?
In the case there were rom better than miui , can you advise me and link ? Thanks so much!Sorry for my poor english

- Instalar os MTK6589 Driver que lá estão
- Liga o usb debug autoriza instalar apps desconhecias liga o cabo usb para o PC reconhecer o smartphone
- Desliga do PC a seguir de reconhecer o aparelho
- Corre o ficheiro “run.bat” botão rato do lado direito run as administrator e carrega enter quando abrir a janela
- Liga o cabo USB com o smartphone ligado
- Ele vai rootear e instalar o SuperSU
- Pede para fazer reboot ao smartphone e dá OK

STAR N9500 CWM recovery
Hi i have made basic cwm recovery for this device as i have one.
i have installed and tested with firmware N9500.20130419_e2006_v89_jbaol1 om my N9500 and works perfect and have done nandroid backup etc.
I flashed it by swapping cwm with stock recovery in firmware loaded spflashtool and unticked all except recovery,

My SP Flash tool doesn't help
I used whatever methods they used to install driver to detect my phone while its off
But unfortunately it just cannot detect
I am using Windows 8 x64
I take out the battery methods, install without driver enforecement
Still no avail
Any advice?

Hi you can forget it with windows 8.when i was running win 8 i had so many problems like this i went back to win 7

you can try to install drivers manually.go here and download and install this..it will install android adb driver etc.
when asked select SAMSUNG driver.

I dont think so but check first the kernel/baseband of your device see if it a match for firmware here.But be very careful
I dont think screens are the same but all other specs seem to be about the same.

Eu tenho procurado em todos os lugares para uma rom para o nosso dispositivo que tenha samsung ui.I pensei que eu encontrei um que era uma rom para HDC N9500​​, eu instalei no meu aparelho e funcionou perfeito .. problema foi foi standerd estoque, bem como, mas agora eu sei que o firmware para HDC funciona bem em nosso device.I vai continuar procurando e pode fazer um para mim se eu puder pegar as coisas que eu preciso.
I have been looking everywhere for a rom for our device that has samsung ui.I thought i found one it was a rom for HDC n9500,I installed on my device and worked perfect..problem was it was standard stock as well,but now i know that the firmware for HDC works fine on our device.I will keep looking and might make one myself if i can get hold of the stuff i need.

Hello again i have put firmware for HDC S4 i9500 on my star n9500 and is perfect so i can now say YES
but if you want a link for HDC firmware let me know but it is same as what is here.

I´m doing this on locked bootloader.
In locked bootloader I did the following for root in KitKat:
1.-Install firmware for flahstool Jelly Bean
Rooting 2.- in the firmware with towelroot
3. Install superuser apk
4.-Go to the center and wait for the OTA update KitKat or press update the System tab in the center of upgrade.
Choose 5.- download the update
6.-Wait for it to download, install and select the phone will restart automatically.
7-Waiting to start just
8-Go to SuperSU
9-Install an app that requires root and verify that the root still works.

yes it works have done this also and works 100% just need cwm now ,hope some one make it soon for d2303

well to have full root you need the bootloader unlocked to have full rights,but most of us can only have 75% root because of the bootloader not unlocked ,better than not having any rights .and the way to root kk on locked bootloader is mentioned .in time full root will be available.

Looks interesting but if can put back USB 3.0 function then it will give some edge against others current existing ported note 5...
USB 3.0 is one of the reason beside external memory make us still stick to note 3...

I am looking for a ROM for Gigabyte TM75A-V, it has android 4.0.4 (some devices recognize it as Commodore TM75A-V)
I would like to use it, at least, to read PDF, because the touch screen does not work. The Switch Acces function of android would be very useful in my situation, but for v4.0.4 it is not available, so I would like to update the android. Installing a Custom ROM requires a Custom Recovery ( CWM / TWRP ) gets flashed as 1st thing of all things.
