I was surprised to see on the fastboot screen of a OnePlus 8T that its "PRODUCT_NAME" is stated as "kona". This differs from the code name "kebab", used at LineageOS and other ROM groups as well as at many places here at the XDA dev site to reference this device.
Is anyone willing to shed some light on the device codenames, their origins and relations?
Kebab is simply the 8T device codename. Kona is referring to the sm8250 (snapdragon 865 processor) family from Qualcomm.

Device info HW+ app is showing that soc of my POCO X3 NFC 6/128 is 730
Wasn't it 732G?
Anyone please check your snapdragon version with this app

Hmmm strange iv just read too that it was 732 but mine says 730 too
May be the app is not updated and doesn't have the 732G codes. 732G is rather new.
Moreover this phone is giving the benchmark score of 730 which is 27 lac something
732G gives 31 lac+ score.
Someone please confirm the SoC used in this phone.
I checked using CPU-Z it shows SDMMAGPIE which is actually the codename for Snapdragon 730. On AIDA-64 it also shows Snapdragon 730 (SM7150). It's weird, but the GPU is correct, Adreno 618.
It should be confirmed from official support
732 it almost same as 730 but 732 its 2.3 ghz so
it shchold be 732 in poco
730g and 732g are practically the same soc, and the 732 is brand new, the majority of the apps can't recognise it simply because they are not updated to recognise it.
I mailed the developer of this app, he uploaded the beta version. Now its showing 732G
730G and 732G are variants of the 730 SOC.
The only difference is the clock frequency - 2.200 MHz at the 730G and 2.300 MHz at the 732G.
Which smartphone chipset is better between MediaTek Dimensity 800 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845? What are the major reasons?
There is a list of compatible phones on their websites. On one hand that sounds logical, that some phones aren't compatible. But what I don't understand is that the physical chips all come from the same place. Right? I mean, you have different chipsets and so on, but if one phone had a, say for example, a Qualcomm SDM660 chipset. Wouldn't all the phones with that chipset be compatible?
Maybe some of the features wouldn't work, because there's no drivers for the specific subtleties in the way Sony or Xaomi implemented the chipset, but I'm just wondering why it wouldn't work otherwise?
anyone know?
For example: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9410&idPhone2=9058

Both the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and 7 plus have the same chipset, cpu, and gpu. But only the Zenfone is on the compatible list. This does not make any sense.
Hello. I want to know which modem does the Exynos 1280 come bundled with, and is it integrated or external? I have a suspicion that it might be the accursed Exynos 5123 modem...
I am aware that it is possible to discover these facts by peeking into the software code, so can someone with a Galaxy A53/A33/M33 do this ?
Exynos 1280 has integrated modem with these specs.
