Can I install a G9700 firmware on an G970F/DS? - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

Hi guys!
So...yeah. Another one of these. But I never seem to find a very clean answer. I'd like to know if there's any hardware difference between those two. I can see both are Exynos CPU, and both have the hybrid SIM/SD slot. Is there any other hardware that could possibly be different? Anything else I should look for? Can I try to flash the G9700 firmware on this unlocked G970F/DS?
Thanks!

G9700 is Snapdragon device so it's not possible because G970F is ******* Exynos.

Thanks...I would have thought G9700 HK model was Exynos too. Sadly I can't check it anymore, my previous S10E took water damage T.T

Canadian Firmware on Exynos Duos

Hi there!
I was wondering, I currently have the SM-G930FD (Exynos Duos) and with the announcement that Samsung Pay is coming to Canada soon, I wanted to flash a Canadian firmware onto it. Would a Canadian firmware work on my device? Thanks!
You'd possibly lose the dual sim capability flashing a single sim firmware, as for the firmware working let alone samsung pay is anyones guess, most likely no.

Dual-sim wasn't a big concern to me (didn't even know the phone had it when I ordered), but thank you!

The right questions? Galaxy J7 SM-J727U

So i just dont know if im looking for the right stuff or what..
Id like a rootable ROM for debloat and performance reasons.
I have a Galaxy J7 SM-J727U..
Just got it from the store and i can find barely any info on this Model.
Does it have a different name? or just no development for this device?
Thank you
I've got the same phone, and I'm in the same situation. I've got 15 days to return it if I can't find a viable root option, but it seems decent for the price. I've gone through a lot of the steps for trying to root similar models, and in every case I simply can't flash anything with Odin. It gives the error "secure check failed". Everything I've looked into about this seems to point to the "OEM unlock" option under developer options, which this phone doesn't seem to have. I would also love to know if there's any potential for progress on this. I'm willing to put in some research and testing, and I'll let you know if I find anything anywhere else.
The U usually stands for UNLOCKED(as in any network/carrier)
Does not necessarily mean the bootloader is unlocked which is likely if the result is 'secure check fail'
What are the specs of this device and country of origin?
Anyone please say the exact CPU used in ths model. SM-J727U.

That's wrong, sorry. I saw one of the YouTubers Boost Mobile variant (J7 Perx) of SM-J727 with installed Snapdragon 625. I've sent this question to the Samsung support in Twitter, they've confirmed my suspicion of the Snapdragon-based US device. But I was unsure. And here I am completely sure of Snapdragon 625 inside J7 2017 US version.

It was my understanding he is in Ukraine, and there the j727u is the Exynos model, as is the US j727u. The j727p and t models use the snap dragon chips

Yes I am the Ukrainian resident, and her we can obtain the SM-J730F. This is a real Exynos 7870 device. But yours J727U might have a different one.
EDIT: One of the users said that there is indeed Samsung Exynos 7870 inside the unlocked model. Meh. From the wompshmack's post the Download Mode looks to be verifying the signatures.
I have a J7 that is SM-S727LT. I can't find anything on that either

A bit offtopic, but there also is the SM-J727S model, which is the Samsung Wide 2 (or J7 for Souh Korea, sold by the SK Telecom carrier), there is TWRP for it. The CPU is also Exynos 7870.
Theoretically the same rootmethod can be used. Can anyone test?

Rooting the Note 10 US Snapdragon question

Would it be possible to flash an SM-N970U US model phone snapdragon version with an international, Chinese, or other version firmware to get root and then overlay it with English fonts etc... just looking for a workaround for root?
That may work. But I wouldn't risk it. As some of the modem drivers maybe different
Would that really maybe work? I feel like someone would have thought of that already. But man, it's tempting to try.

Unfortunately the two models do not share the same CPU... So it would absolutely brick your phone.
Thanks for the feedback guys....nothing ventured nothing gained

Every site I checked said the sm-n9700 has the snapdragon 855, which is the same as the sm-970u and u1 have.

It would be nice if you provided a source for your claim, since I did so. For example, you could say: "I own the n9700, and it is exynos", or "I'm there engineer that designed the note 10, and the n9700 is exynos"
Someone who has the n9700 could check with cpu-z and settle this dispute.

But I think that site says sm-n9700 is snapdragon.
The Hong Kong Note 10 is a Snapdragon, one of the few international variants with bootloader unlock and snapdragon. Not sure if it would work, otherwise people would do it. Good luck if you try, but be careful.
I have n9700 and its Snapdragon

Question Interchanging S22 Ultra Firmwares between different sub-models

Hello,
I have been searching the internet for the past 2 days to find a clear answer for this.
I have received Samsung S22 Ultra SM-S908N which stands for Korea version and when accessing through Sammobile I get stock firmware only for Korea.
My friend has the Samsung S22 Ultra SM-S908E which on Sammobile stands for Asia/Africa and he can install many countries firmware.
The question is, if both hardware are exactly the same in terms of chipset aka. Snapdragon
Is it possible to Install the SM-S908E on a SM-S908N? Did someone try this already - I am assuming the phone is still new and not much of discussion about this but probably someone did this for previous models?
In case I install firmware for the international version and didn't work, boot issue, or completely not switching on.. is it possible to revert back?
Regards,
The

- 1st : you can't install the International FW into the Korean devices variants. Even both at the same chipset.
- 2nd: it's possible to revert back. You must to flash the correct FW ( Korean FW variant ) via Odin on DownloadMod.
I may be wrong but Korean version has 5G mmWave. International version doesn't have

Question Remove Unlocked Bootloader Warning?

Hi, I wanted to ask if there is a way to remove "WARNINGS" on boot startup on my S22Utra Snapdragon variant. I can easily remove those warnings on my old S21Ultra, however, it seems different on my S22U SD variant. I tried searching on youtube but I can't find one method to do it. Somebody help. Thank you in advance
Im searching the same thing, but for tab s7 plus 5G with Snapdragon 965, that I rooted soon. I have removed in my s22 ultra exynos with Corsicanu TWRP_Bootlogo_patcher.zip Click but is for Exynos only.
From what I've seen, the warning can only be removed on the Exynos models, the Snapdragons are hard coded by Qualcomm.
