Question Root Samsung Galaxy M12 Is It possible - Samsung Galaxy M12

Hi all
I thought the Galaxy M12 was very popular because of its features, but I think I'm wrong as very few people open topics here.
Anyway , something that is very sought after , is getting the administrator permission , or in other words , rooting your galaxy m12 , so that the person really owns the device they bought , and so do whatever they want in your software....
There are a lot of articles on the web showing how to root the galaxy m12 , but almost all of them are fake
Below is a link , here from the xda forum , showing that rooting the galaxy m12 is possible .
[ROOT] Modified Magisk for Galaxy A21S (R)
It seems that the A21S hasn't had any root since it was released (other than pre-rooted GSI ROMS) When flashing Magisk, the phone went into bootloop, and the only way to fix it was to flash stock rom via Odin. After some analysis, it seems that...

Please read carefully every topic and replies , so there is no error in the procedure
Note that I'm not a programmer, I'm just trying to diversify, issues about the galaxy m12.
I here just redirect you to a serious topic about root on m12, and therefore I am not responsible for anything you do. Do it at your own risk!
Attached is a screenshot on Magisk installed on my Galaxy M12
If you're new to Android like me (I'm new to android, but pretty old haha), find out about Magisk, right here on the xda forum and on the web. If you have problems with a certificate on Google Play , after root , here on the forum there are solutions for the solution
I for example to solve these problems I installed , I installed the second module SafetyNet-Fix-shim-MOD .

If you have problems using Samsung apps like the Galaxy Store , please install the MagiskHide Props Config module
---Download a shell terminal such as Termux .
---Open Termux (in this case here), and in the command line type "su" without quotes.
---Then type "props"
---Choose option 2 (Force Basic)
---Then choose option "d"
---After the option corresponding to Samsung , which is 26
---Now a series of versions of Samsung devices will appear. I chose the Galaxy S20 corresponding to 75
---Now choose Yes "y" . The device will reboot to make the configuration take effect
---Test and enter the Galaxy Store
To solve problems with CTS profile , problems with certification on Google Play , I installed Module SafetyNet-Config-Fix
Release v2.1.0 · kdrag0n/safetynet-fix
Changes Fixed new SafetyNet CTS profile failures as of September 2, 2021 Added MagiskHide features that will be removed in future versions of Magisk Donate If you found this helpful, please consi...

[Q] Rooting Question for Asus

Hi so i am new in the Android world i just recently obtained a new Asus Memo Pad 10 (ME103K) and i would like to root it to use some functions a friend showed on their Android device, but i sadly got scared that i might brick my device if i do not root correctly, so i searched up my device but i couldn't find anything that looked like a guide for this particular one ( i even read in a forum that it supposedly doesn't have a root yet because its new ) , so my question is : Is there any way to root this device yet? and if yes, can i ask for a guide or a link that has the guide? Thanks in advance .
*Bump*
I haven't been able to find a root working for Asus MemoPad 10 (ME103K) Could anyone provide any information if there is a root available? (I saw many fake sites and some claiming to work but didn't)
Thank you in advance

have you tried framaroot?

Downlaod version 1.9.3
I rooted ME103K on my own, compiling a custom kernel
Executive summary: Go to youtube and watch video with ID "gqubgQjqfHw" (I can't post links yet, sorry! ) - or search Youtube for "Rooting MemoPAD10 (ME103K) with my custom compiled kernel"
Analysis:
I hated the fact that my recently purchased MemoPAD10 (ME103K) tablet had no open process to allow me to become root. I don't trust the closed-source one-click root apps that use various exploits, and require communicating with servers in.... China. Why would they need to do that? I wonder...
I therefore decided this was a good opportunity for me to study the relevant documentation and follow the steps necessary to build an Android kernel for my tablet. I then packaged my custom-compiled kernel into my custom boot image, and the video shows how I boot from it and become root in the process.
Note that I didn't burn anything in my tablet - it's a 'tethered' root, it has no side-effects.
If you are a developer, you can read in detail about the steps I had to take to modify the kernel (and su.c) and become root - by reading the questions (and answers!) that I posted in the Android StackExchange forum ( can't post links yet, see the video description in Youtube ).
If you are not a developer, you can download my custom boot image from the link below - but note that this means you are trusting me to not do evil things to your tablet as my kernel boots and my /sbin/su is run
Honestly, I haven't done anything - I just wanted to run a deboot-strapped Debian in my tablet. But I am also worried about the cavalier attitude I see on the web about rooting your devices - if you want to be truly safe, you must either do what I did (and recompile the kernel yourself) or absolutely trust the person that gives it to you. I do wish Google had forced a UI-accessible "become root" option in Android, just as Cyanogen does (sigh).
The image I created and used in the video to boot in rooted mode, is available from the link show in the Youtube video details.
Enjoy!

Cant use Gear S2 Classic with lineage OS

So, I've just installed Lineage OS on my phone.
Wanted to try a custom rom.
And when I try to connect to my Gear S2 Classic it states in a pop up.
The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way.
and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app.
Check your operating system and try again.
Any idea how to do it anyways?
Installing the safety net fix could help

Could you solve it ??? I have the same problem.
Adding in to say that I too have this issue with LineageOS and my Gear S2 Classic. I remember someone on XDA offered some other (maybe older?) apks which allowed it to work for a while but now it seems after updating LineageOS to a newer nightly build, the Gear stopped working again. I'm on a OnePlus3 running the December 15th nightly.
Hey any idea ? I have same problem
I have the same problem
Updating your build.prop, change all "samsung" references to "htc" and you'll be able to open the app... I'm still fighting to get it to see my Gear 2, though.
I have it working on my Samsung Note 3 with Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 which is Lineage 14.1.
I also had to change manufacturer and another build.prop entry from samsung to something else (htc in my case) before I could download it from the playstore (got the same message, probably due to Knox not being there anymore and therefore Samsung thinking I have a modified Samsung phone which is true).
After that I think I also had to download from apkmirror com.samsung.accessory_3.1.73.71102-317371102_minAPI15(arm64-v8a,armeabi)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk and com.samsung.android.gearoplugin_2.2.03.17121551-2117121551_minAPI18(arm64-v8a,armeabi,armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
It's working like on a original Samsung Touchwiz Rom now.
And of course you have to reset your watch to connect to your "new" phone.
Best regards
Amber
Hi, the only solution that helped me to resolve this issue is well explained in this post (more than 48 hours trying different solutions):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gea...cm-rr-t3743138
My 50cts (or 500 words)
I have used the following to be able to connect my Samsung Gear S2 to my rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 running on lineage-14.1-20180214-nightly-herolte
I use TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-1-herolte.img.tar) as recovery manager to install .zip files onto my S7.
I had rooted my S7 by installing the LineageOS su add-on (addonsu-14.1-arm64), but due to SafetyNet issues which prevented my Gear S2 to connect,
I removed it with addonsu-remove-14.1-arm64.
So I installed Magisk (MagiskManager-v5.6.0.apk) to have Root and to hide Root and (part of) the SafetyNet 'Failing',
so Play Store and other programs will not know it is rooted.
I installed the following Samsung apk files to get my Gear S2 working:
com.samsung.android.gearoplugin_2.2.03.18011941N-2118011941_minAPI19(arm64-v8a,armeabi,armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager_2.2.20.17113061-2117113061_minAPI18(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
com.samsung.accessory_3.1.80.80109-318080109_minAPI15(arm64-v8a,armeabi)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
Via Magisk Hide option I have hidden root from the Samsung Gear application so it would not abend with the infamous "your device has been tampered with..." error
Finally you need to edit the /system/build.prop file and change all 6 occurrences of samsung into [email protected] (or htc if you prefer that),
so the application does not realize the hardware is in fact a Samsung and therefore not running the stock ROM, the bluetooth connection
to the Gear S2 will fail if build.prop contains samsung.
(I use Total Commander editor to edit the build.prop file but I think any editor will be able to do that if you are rooted.
and last but not least make sure the permissions of the build.prop file are -rw-r--rr or 644 in Linux terms because the Lineage ROM
will not boot if the permissions are not 644).
I installed the Samsung Health application from the play store and that seems to work fine.

Hi,
This is the right link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/gear-s2-gear-manager-touchwiz-romscm-rr-t3743138
But you can search it : "Gear S2 (Gear Manager) works on non-TouchWiz Roms(CM, RR, Lineage etc)"
In case anybody has the same problem, this thread solved all of my issues. I have a Nexus 5 with lineage OS, and I could not get google play store to install the app. It didn't show up in play store on my phone, and online it said the app wasn't available for my device.
Fortunately [B @j to the 4n[/B] has made resigned versions of all three necessary apps (gear plugin, samsung health, samsung accessories) - and the Samsung Gear S3 is working flawlessly again.

I cannot root my Logicom Le Hola FR

Hi, I recently bought a cheap phone (Le Hola FR Logicom) thinking that I could root it with Magisk to fix its shortcomings afterwards. However, after much research on the net I am unable to do this because its ROM cannot be found on the internet and it does not seem compatible with TWRP. How do I root it with Magisk please?
1st thing of all things is that you must have a copy of phon'e Stock ROM ( Android 10 GO ? ) at your fingertips: it's required to install Magisk without TWRP.

HELP ME ROOT !!!!

sorry if you felt I'm shouting in the title. I want to root my Lenovo K33a42, Android 7.0 (yes an old phone). I tried to root using KingRoot, KingoRoot, FramaRoot, Root Master (including PC versions) and none of them were able to root my phone. I seriously want to root my phone and I don't wanna risk bricking it as it's my primary. I know the method of Flashing TWRP and then flashing Magisk or SuperSU, but I'm scared of bricking. is there any better method to root my phone?

Well always do everything with extra care. I cound not assure that you will not brick your device.
Your phone is Lenovo K6 power.
Also, I recommend updating to a newer android version as android 7 is already too outdated and not safe to use. An example is this, which you can also flash in TWRP (wipe before installing)

If you want to know why one click root apps doesn't work, those apps highly depends on a bug occuring on android 4.0 to android 6.0. Android 7 have this 'issue' , or exploit, patched, so one click root apps died instantly.
@DamnBro304
No Magisk, TWRP, SuperSu, etc.pp is needed to root a phone what has Android 5 and higher running.
Because your device's Android is version 7 to get the superuser access to be able to control various aspects of Android OS means you need to perform a certain modification that will root your phone's Android.
Here is what you have to do to root your device's Android: Replace Android's Toybox binary - what is a restricted version by default - by unrestricted Toybox v0.8.5. This can get achieved by means of ADB.
Toybox v0.8.5 is available here:

[Samsung][e os 1] Root guide?

Hi,
I have a Samsung S9+ (star2lte) on which I installed e os 1. This is essentially Lineage with a some tweaks and e Recovery. I would like to root my device, so that I can install AFWall+. Open to alternatives, but most don't offer a comparable deal in term of privacy, security and sideeffects. I will probaby also need MAgisk to hide root from banking apps. So I decided to go for Magisk, which I have used in the past as well.
So there is no lack of guides when you search for this topic. However, noone mentions e os. And this twist seems to matter. While trying to follow various guides (I have by now started from factory a couple of times, as I almost bricked my device...)., I came across a lot of errors, which were not mentioned in either guide. The install would fail, sometimes messing up the entire installation, so that I had to start from scratch.
I think I identified one of the main issues, which happens to be the recovery. The e Recovery won't install the proper magisk boot image. Well, unless there was another issue in the background, but I also found hints towards TWRP being needed to install magisk. So I installed TWRP latest version, which worked fine. Then I tried to install magisk boot image - and it failed. /data could not be mounted, apparently this relates to the encryption of the file system.
I'm also about unclear on the role of Odin (latest). I understand I need it to flash my Samsung device, e.g. with TWRP. I'm somehwhat unclear on the various filetypes one can flash (AP, BL, CSC,...). So I strictly adhere to the guides for this. MEaning, I have never tried to flash Magisk via Odin - is that possible? Does it make sense? How?
One sideeffect of the guides I found would be, that TWRP is installed as recovery. In an ideal solution, I would like to return to e os recovery, so that everything is as close to the orignal setup as possible, except with root (and possibility to hide this for specific apps).
As I have spent two days backing up, flashing, reading guide, reading more guides and still failing all the time with results which forced me to redo everything from vendor image - I finally resorted to asking for help here. Can someone please guide me though the process of installing magisk?
Versions:
Samsung SM-965F DBT (star2lte)
e os 1.0-q-2022052618889-stable-star2lte
TWRP 3.6.1_9_0-star2lte
Odin 3.14.4
Magisk: Latest App.
Best,
YeOldHinnerk
same problem with a oneplus 5, i updated to e/os/ 1.0 and no more magisk/root...i try to update with magic manager (magisk 25), it asks a patch but not proposing install...
You need to extract the boot.img from e. Download the tar/zip, extract and locate the boot.img within. Copy that somehhere on your phone and feed it to magisk.
TWRP will not see the file by magisk since the file system is encrypted, see above.
Btw encryption is a must-have for me, for security reasons and my apps for work won'T run without (Citrix Secure Hub).
it's working Thks a lot !
Was intended as llooking for help here - but glad I could help too
