Question TWRP HELP - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

So I decided to install Xiaomi EU rom to my device, but after wiping data in TWRP it all goes to ****.
Firstly, Windows no longer recognize the internal storage, it's still there, but I can't copy files into it
Second;y, my TWRP internal data is 0mb, but after restoring that and rebooting twrp, the data is 0mb again and it forces to to do it all over again,
Does someone know a way to fix this issue?

I need a reply asap as I really need the phone

If only had done format data, reboot to system to get into MIUI, will take 5~10 minutes, done the initial setup, then the internal storage should be readable.
If still does not work, buy USBOTG or find a microSD card with sufficient storage to flash.

Personally, my TWRP gave me an error when trying to install Miui.eu, that's why from TWRP I installed Orange Fox and I was able to install EU, another thing is that twrp does not show you or mount the data partition since by default it comes in format F2fs, you would have to change the data file format to ext4 and go back to f2fs for twrp to work with that partition, which is also why your PC cannot copy files to internal memory

The published versions of TWRP are betas and it has problems with the format of the data partition since by default the Poco X3 Pro brings the f2fs format for data, so the only thing I can think of is that you have to format if or if data and change the partition format so that twrp recognizes it

so I decided to replace the recovery twice and the phone is properly recognized now

You could use sideload to install rom btw. Otherwise, you could use the official beta orangefox recovery, iirc, it also recreate the partition if you attempt to use some of its feature.

Disable encryption protection?

Hi Guys
Im having trouble flashing new Roms to my S7. When I enter TWRP recovery, it shows my device as 0MB and it doesnt picK up any files. I looked into this and read that Encryption should be disabled on the handset. I followed instructions to do this and noticed that there is no option for Encryption Protection. Its not there!
I disabled any passwords and Pin numbers to erase decryption and it still didnt work!
last resort was to try a factory reset and the device restarted to recovery and failed as TWRP recovery cant find any mounted devices due to the encryption crap.
Any help appreciated.

Hi mate
Seems like you did not format your data partition during TWRP installation.........
Try flashing your custom rom from the External SD card......your data partition has all your app , files , passwords, photos...there is still a chance that there it may be a incompatibility issue between your apps and the new rom....that is why they recommend a factory reset when flashing a new custom rom

Hi
TWRP can not handle Samsung encryption . if you wish to use TWRP and have access to the Data partition ( internal SD card) you need to format it so the encryption is disabled ( you lose all your apps , data and user configuration AKA factory reset) , you can have TWRP and data encryption but mods and roms have to be flashed from external memories also you will not have available MTP in recovery or factory reset from it.
There is no way to disable data encryption without format data.....
Ok, I got a friends SD card and placed the Rom on there. I can now see the Rom but the trouble is, TWRP wont let me wipe Dalvik / data / system / cache as it wont mount the storage....
can I still apply the ROM?
Unable to restart your device. The integrity verification has failed. You need to reset your device to factory default settings. This will erase all of your data.

That is why I point it out " factory reset is recommended when flashing custom rom" if you wish to flash a custom rom you will have to format your data partition and flash the data verify file........

I tried flashing the stock rom via odin and it also failed as it goes to recovery to wipe data and it fails again as it cant mount storage.

How did you flash the stock rom...which files did you use?
Wipe data is not enough you have to Wipe / FORMAT DATA and type yes....
1 To get rid of encryption, go to "wipe", format data (TWRP) (keyboard will pop up) then type "yes" and format it, then reboot to recovery
2. After flashing this, hit wipe, full wipe (this will clean all internal memory and your data will be lost
3 you can test if encryption is still enabled, if TWRP shows error about not mounting data your phone is still encrypted

0MB Internal Storage - Galaxy J7 Prime (SM-G610F)

So I have this problem with TWRP that I haven't been able to find a solution for, it's been bugging me for a while now. Everytime I try to format data in TWRP to remove encryption on my internal storage it will work fine as long as I am on recovery mode but if I reboot to system and setup everything, when I reboot back to TWRP it goes back to 0MB, any solution?

You need to flash a custom kernel with Forced Encryption disabled and then format /data in TWRP
I am getting same 0 mb internal problem it gets solved after formatting data but when u start the stock rom and fill the Google accent details and all I mean after setting it up and when we boot to recovery after that same problem occurs and after card also can't be read

Internal storage won't decrypt

So guys yesterday I flashed miui fastboot rom through TWRP recovery. It went successfully but the problem is now I can't decrypt my internal storage. I wiped it several times but after reboot it gets encrypted again. Idk what to do now! I'm stuck with encrypted internal storage.

When you're asked for Password press "Cancel"
Are you sure you've read right, not just wipe Partitions but Format it (the right Button)
It may be that MIUI encrypts Data again while reboot, do you have a MIUI Account activated on your Device? Maybe you first need to deactivate this.
Also, when asked for Password and cancelled that, are you able to mount i.e. System and/or install something like Magisk?
Format Data before flashing custom ROM always works, I never tried that in the other Direction.

Yes I'm sure I've format data by typing "yes". It shows the internal storage RIGHT AFTER formatting data but after a reboot it doesn't show internal storage.
Miui account is activated in my device.
It shows internal storage as 0MB & I can't access it.
I can't take a backup but I did manage to flash Aroma bloatware removal zip.
I never flashed Custom Rom. I flashed the official MIUI fastboot rom.

I'm already on stable rom 10.2 with pitch-black recovery.
Sorry, I have started so many attempts that I do not remember what was successful. Now I have at least 'PitchBlack' and StableRom 10.2 ... on the run, backups via PitchBlack are also possible, so I can describe the internal memory, in the recovery mode, the internal memory is not displayed 0

Ok, I'm trying to describe my path again:
- By fastboot I install the PitchBlack recovery
- I wipe data, cache and dalvik
- I format the data partition
- I restart in the recovery status
- in the PitchBlack recovery I flash the stable Rome 10.2 ...
- I wipe data, cache and dalvik
- I flash Magisk 18
I start the device, and do not restore, but a new device.
I hope it will help.

TWRP 0mb Storage

Is there a way to fix 0mb Internal storage in twrp to flash from there magisk? My usb port doesn't work so everything I can do is from the device by itself.
I tried wipe, and data format repair file system ange change file system ext2 and back to ext4. It temporarily says the storage size and when rebooting into system then is again to 0mb. Anybody can help?

yeah, if you get the "recovery.img", flash as an ".img; image", flash it to the recovery partition. try shrp first, dont use orangefox since it caused problems with me.
Could you send me a guide or a link to download img file and tell me how to flash it
The problem is that after installed rom, i have to install magisk ,su and etc. I cannot use "su" command. My problem is how to flash magisk
Edit: I have image file of shrp.Where to place it and how to flash it? The problem is that i cant find from recovery this file because of 0mb internal storage

Forgot to ask but, did you encrypt internal storage? There are a couple of forums documenting that encryption causes the TWRP 0mb problem.
Try this:
TWRP Internal Storage(0 MB)
I am trying to root my Samsung A7(2017). I have installed twrp to my phone but when I open it to install SuperSU it writes Internal Storage(0 MB) therefore I can not access to SuperSU. I am searching

Question Why does Orangefox not mount internal partition after wipe/format?

I do not quite understand Orangefox Recovery.
I wanted to install a ROM, for that I wiped everything and formatted data.
Then I wanted to connect the phone to PC and copy the needed files.
But I cannot copy the files, there appears to be no partition mounted.
I then sideloaded the Orangefox installation zip and LineageOS, only afterwards I had the needed internal partition and could copy files for installation.
I expected Orangefox to mount the internal partition right after start and right after wipe/format - what did I do wrong?
If you are on Android 12 they cannot be decrypted yet, that's why.
I am on android 11

Are you from MIUI? In my case, I'm formatting after installing the ROM, then boot. After that, the internal storage should be available
No, I installed a few Custom Roms, trying them out.
I formatted data, wiped all partitions, rebooted to recovery and then nothing is mounted, I cannot transfer a ROM. I have to sideload.
Which partitions did you wipe? "everything" (as you wrote in the first post) would cause big problems... Afaik EFS for example contains extremly urgent data as the IMEI ... I find 13 partitions on my X3 pro and i hope you didnt wipe them all i dont know wether an (existing?) backup could restore all (!) partitions ... Did you make a nandroid backup of all partitions before wiping them?

That is a common error that I have noticed with almost all the recoveries of the poco x3 pro, to solve it you have to change the file format of the data partition to ext4 and again change them back to f2fs since if you leave them in ext4 the cell phone it won't start

What recovery do you use? and you use Poco X3 Pro ? since all the recoveries that I have installed have problems with the data partition, since when you make a partition eraser to install a clean rom you cannot use the internal storage in mtp, it appears on the PC but you can not copy absolutely anything

My point is that if you don't use Poco X3 Pro you have never had this problem, since in no other model I have not had something similar either.
I use this phone as my daily driver
And this happened when i try to flash CrDroid 8 Android 12 from miui 12.5.7
I do as the instruction says, wipe data, system, flash ROM, then format data.
When i reboot to recovery, there's nothing there, not even internal storage mounted.
So after that, i reboot to system, let it boot, and then reboot to recovery, and it shows again, the storage and everything
