How to remove Hydrogel Film screen protector? - General Questions and Answers

I bought a Hydrogel Film screen protector about a month after receiving my S10+ about two years ago. I wanted to replace it now with a new one that I purchased off aliexpress. Now, I can't seem to remove the Hydrogel film screen protector on my S10+. Not to mention I don't even notice that its even on there anymore. Theres not even a screen protector outline that you would notice on normal screen protectors. DId some google and found that some comment from quora says that the hydrogel film screen protector is embedded to the glass on your phone and nothing to remove?
How did you guys remove it? or are hydrogel film protectors are not removeable at all once applied?

Peel it off. The bond isn't that great.
Should come off in one piece.
Don't scratch the screen be being stupid using a razor blade etc. Fingernails...
70/30 Isopropyl alcohol may help once you get some of it separated or to clean the glass.
Water may work better.

No, there is literally nothing that would indicate there is a hydrogel film protector installed on the phone. It looks like the screen is unprotected. But I know 110% that it was installed because I did it myself. There is nothing to peel off, I have literally tried every corner and edge of the screen and near the speaker. I purchased the screen protector here two years agohttps://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000437704322.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4ds7qHH1

Diamond Back Plate Protector

Its cheapish and protects the back from scratching. Got one today and fitted it on easy just waiting for 24hours as suggested before I see better results.
From the feel of it, its the soft rubber type plastic.
So far I rate it as ok but I wait and if it dont work first time I have a second protector to try again.

I bought a full body Invisible shield and used that. Took of the front of the invisileshield because it was too grippy and didn't look as nice. Left the back and buttons with the invisshield and used an exim screen protector.
I have the exim screen protector too the spuc one. Good quality and very very clear. Shame they dont have the back cover protector would of been a better result than the one from ebay, it too is grippy as you say on the back.
So you advice us not to buy one?
Would like to know if it leaves any residue when you remove it?
heres a picture of the back protector, I dont think its fully dried yet but its ok some residue leaks from the edges. I have removed the first one off and washed it with abit of soap and nothing left behind.

Main thing it does is protect the back from scratches.
Here is the Screen protector eXim spuc fitted on. Very happy with it as with all my other phones using eXim spuc protectors.
As you can see its pretty much invisible only thing you can tell theres a protector is the top of the screen near the ear piece and the camera.
?????
I bought a Rubbery kind of case from a company called BOXWAVE.com...pretty cool I thought .....and I picked up a pen/laser/stylus too. Haven't got it yet ...but can't wait
Peace
Mike
I got my slip case for my diamond today. The back with the invisible shield makes it hard to pull out, way too grippy. Don't know if I want to keep the invisible shield on at all
Glad to see someone with the exim spuc protectors, they are REALLY GOOD. Had them on my last 3 phones.

Tempered Glass question.. (continuing usage of slightly damaged protector)

Hey guys, just a general question about tempered glass protectors, is it generally okay to keep a slightly cracked tempered glass protector on a device? There are layers above and below the actual glass correct?
In the picture is a Zerolemon Tempered Glass protector on my tablet, however I also have tempered glass on my nexus 5, so I'd like to know for possible future reference. Thanks!

I'm just slightly concerned about the slightly cracked protector coming in contact with the actual screen. I checked the other side and the bottom layer where the adhesive is and it seems normal and not damaged, same with the top most layer.

It could scratch if it was loose and rubbing up against the screen, but I can't see any other issues myself. That said, I'm hardly an authority on this
i had a MIME tempered glass screen protector that cracked from the ear piece hole... used it for months, the cracks grew bigger, eventually i got a new one from them. when i removed it, it was perfect underneath
The new one i have also cracked it from a small drop, and i am sure it will be fine underneath

How are your screens holding up?

Asking owners: how are your screens so far? Tell me everything -- are there many scratches, are they visible when the screen is on? Smudges, dust -- is it too irritating? Thanks!
Anyone?
No issues with mine so far.
No issues here but I'm really careful with it.
Thanks! I think I will take the plunge today.

Picked the phone up at the store today. Samsung bundles Z Flip with it's free original Leather Case.
Had mine for a couple of hours when I tried to open it with one hand by sliding my thumb in from the side and flipping up. This left a dent in the screen protector from my thumb nail that was really visible with the screen off. A day later it was still there, I put on a screen protector that is more durable, that original dent is not visible now. I don't know if it self-healed or is just covered by the new protector. As an added bonus the screen protector is less prone to fingerprints and I am not worked to rub it to clean. I will have to be careful if I need to remove the new screen protector so I don't peel off Samsung's.

The manual clearly states not to flip open the phone that way, you can damage the screen. You also voided the warrenty by puting another screen protector on it.

Best thin, grippy case and tempered glass screen protectors for V35/V30

Hey guys, I've had a V30S, and a V35 for the last 2+ years or so. I've tried a few cases, like the Ringke Fusion (smoke black), but in the end the very best one I liked and keep buying is this one (link below) I tend to keep my phone in my pocket a lot, and only take it out when I'm sitting for the most part, so I don't drop my phone often, so I don't want a bulky case, something to protect from scratches and help with grip mainly. This case is slim and minimal profile, so won't give the best drop protection but it's beautiful and functional. Choose V30 under model to get the correct version. The camera bump is a bit low in the cutout, but nothing is covered or obstructed at all. Here's an image of the case in the quote below.
The tempered glass is a UV tempered, so it requires application of a UV glue between the screen and the protector and UV curing. This method prevents the tempered lifting up easily from the curved edges of the screen. I've attached an image of mine in the quote as well to give an idea of fit. This protector covers just about everything that's not covered by this case, but the case won't lift the edges of the protector if the protector is centered correctly. Please note this protector has seen a year of abuse, and has slowly started lifting with bumps and the crack on the top right (hit it against my table couple days ago). When it was new it was perfectly flush without any air bubbles and stayed that way for quite a while. I may replace mine now, if so I'll post a pic with the new protector on once I get around to doing it!
In my humble opinion, this is the hands down best case and screen protector combo around for the V30 or V35.

Question S22 Ultra screen protector??

Might be a dumb question but I'm coming from a Note10 plus that had the screen protector installed at the factory. My screen is in perfect shape, lasted 2 1/2 years, my wife's Note10 plus protector was destroyed in a month, she's a phone abuser.
My question is do the new S22 Ultras come with a screen protector already installed??
No.
It has something on it but I wouldn't call it a screen protector.
I ordered this one. Hopefully it will be a good one

Decide if you want wet or dry application bendable film, on the one hand, or a glass protector, on the other hand, I like wet film style and use Skinomi. There are pro's and cons to each style.

I had this on my S20 FE. (I'm waiting for the S22 U to arrive).
I don't think you'll like the feeling of SPen on this screen protector, because it's not glass and every sharp press on it, leaves a mark.
But it was amazing on my phone, not gonna lie.
I bought a tempered glass screen protector for the S22U, Whitestone Dome. This one comes with liquid adhesive and I've heard only good reviews on it.

I've never used one of those. Let us know when it arrives and you've used it.
I picked up the two pack of the Dome glass screen protectors from Whitestone, one for me one for the Mrs. They were excellent on our Note 20 Ultras.
