My device is almost 6 years old. All this time, the wifi is working properly until now. The issue with the WiFi only happened last month. The WiFi seems to be buggy, turning on and off. Sometimes it does not turn on at all. So I tried restarting then a bootloop happened. I flashed all the stock rom starting from Android 5.1 to 7.0 but still, the bootloop occurs. Please help me, I need this device for online class. Thank you!
EDIT: I successfully removed the bootloop by downgrading to 5.1.1 but the wifi is stuck to "Turning on..." any idea what might be the problem? Because when I flash 6.0.1 or 7.0, only bootloop happens.

no matter what rom i flash i am not able to turn wifi on.
i even reverted to stock JB and still.
this happened after i sintalled CWM 6.0.4.4 and flashed CM 11
has this happened to anybody?
im starting to think that my wifi antennas has been broken somehow.
anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?
So I have had my S3 rooted for a long while. But the past few weeks it's been running a bit slower. This week it started randomly turning off. I thought it was my battery at first. But then when I tried to turn it back on it got stuck at the Galaxy s3 screen and would not get into the OS.
I tried to get into recovery, it froze on the splash screen. I made sure both were actually frozen by leaving it sitting there for 30 min to an hour.
Tried to flash using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114
It kept just sitting at writing NAND.
Now my phone says "Firmare Upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies and try again"
Kies will not connect my device. It sees it but will not complete the connection. I tried using the model and IMEI number to upgrade firmware but it still would not connect to do that.
More searching lead me to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166&page=11
But I can't get into OS or recovery so I don't think this would work.
Any suggestions on what I can do from here? I only really need the phone to work for a few more months. My old Droid incredible just doesn't cut it at this point.
Sorry to bump, but nobody has anything for this? I haven't really found any other options.
Your bootloader is fine so that thread won't help you. What was the last version of touch wiz that was on your phone before you ran into problems?
happened to me tuesday last week. followed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...l-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701/page169 and flashed 5.0 but my phone is still on bootloop.

Hi all! I recently purchased a verizon galaxy s6 that wouldn't boot past the verizon logo. Long story short, I got it working by flashing the AP through Odin for 7.0.1, but during setup, regular use, and sometimes no use, the phone will randomly either turn off or reboot. I've tried updating all apps, factory resetting, wiping cache, and reflashing through odin but I got the same outcome. Any help would be appreciated! Like I said, everything else is working fine, but every few minutes the phone freezes or goes black, and then reboots or just stays powered off.
Thanks for the help in advance!
Problem started on stock rom. I tried flashing custom ROMS and still the problem did not go away.
Currently unable to connect to Wifi, bluetooth, and unable to start hotspot as well.
Your help is very much needed and appreciated.
Bump, same with my Sony Z5 Premium Dual (E6883), wifi stuck turning on, bluetooth is ok, tried flash nougat and marshmallow stock rom
