So, long story short, I "formated all" through SP flash tool and lost my IMEI. Thankfully they are on the sticker on the back, but I was not able to write them back with any method I tried (example modem meta errors out at 19%).
I have reflashed stock rom to try through engineer mode but the CDS is not showing up on the menu.
Is there any way to bring it back or flash the IMEI?

I have Micromax Android One(sprout) with 5.1.x. After flashing STOCK KITKAT by SP flash tool. i lost my IMEI(shows INVALID:crying.
So i searched a lot for restoring IMEI on MTK devices.(NONE OF THEM WORKED). Listed below tried methods:
> IMEI MAKER (IMEI REPAIRER, IMEI Flashable)
Manually replaced MP0B_001 to NVRAM/X/X/X blah blah
> MKT Droid Tool
followed all steps, inserted my IMEI, still not worked.

Methods remaining to try is
ENGINEERING MODE
but then i realized my ENGINEERING MODE is not working.
> i tried to open with *#*#3646633#*#*. (nothing happens. dialer clears all numbers)
> Used ROM Toolbox Lite and Mobile Uncle
it shows to options ANDROID and MTK setting
when i click MTK setting it not opens enginnering mode.
So at last conclusion.. my issue is ENGINEERING MODE is not working.

How to backup your IMEI/MEID on ZTE Nubia Z9 Max?
So here is a simple guide on how to backup your IMEI/MEID on ZTE Nubia Z9 Max, in case you accidentally brick your device and need to restore.
So let's see what we need first:
1. Your phone running stock ROM,a PC and a Micro-usb cable
2. QPST v2.7 Build 4.11 or newer
Now get the backup:
1. Connect your phone to PC
2. Bring up your dial pad, dial *#7678#, you'll see something like this, check "Factory Port"
3. Now open QPST configuration, you should be able to see your phone
4.Select "Start Clients"-"QPST Software Download" from QPST Config UI,
5.Select "Backup" from QPST Software Download, press "Start' and you'll get your backup in the "bin" folder of QPST
6.If you ever need to restore from backup, just do 1 to 4 again, and Select "Restore" from QPST Software Download, get your backup and hit Start
this might take a while and your phone will reboot when it's done.DO NOT UNPLUG WHEN RESTORING.
That's all, enjoy your phone.
Repair imei
Hi i lost my imei, i not follow the adequate post and i backup my imei with twrp with the image efs and well this not restoring my imei. But i find a archive nv.qcn of a nubia z9 max, and im thinking to edit the qcn with my imeis and meid and send to my phone but, could this work?. I have a soft brick in my nubia z9 max nx510j of CN Telecom for install another rom that's not of telecom but, when i restore to a telecom rom with nubia emergency tool, this tool change my imei to one of test, and I can't receive signal of 4g, 3g etc.

I just wanted to say that there's a sticker with the IMEI/MEID behind the back of the phone, in case you REALLY need it. But be careful removing it, mine broke

First it's going to be a long post,
You guys try to solve this. I'm ready with my device to experiment.
This is a wired situation, my Lenovo z90a40 was briked. I tried lot of roms.. via twrp, via qfill.. all flashed successfully but the same result.. tried restore backups from senior members, restore was successful but same result. Then one member told me a method by resetting the following partitions. I had a backup via twrp before this.
adb shell
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p26 ------this is partition for FSG (golden copy)
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p24 -------this is partition for modemst1
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p25 --------this is partition for modemst2
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p29 --------this is partition for modem st3
He told me to do in two steps.. but I did it all once.. my mistake.. my biggest mistake.. whatever it happened.
Then system booted no boot loop. At that time my ROM was 1625 ( Chinese). Everything went fine.. happy to see my Lenovo booted. But when I checked my IMEI it showed unknown. And I don't know my IMEI..
But Google dashboard helped me to find IMEI. Atleast one IMEI.
Then I restored a qcn file from a member (same model)
without changing anything (IMEI). Rebooted.. got IMEI. But no network. Sims detected got message centre number and internet settings in network settings.. but when I try to make call it shows turn off aeroplane mode.
Tried different roms, 116,240,363... Nothing works..
Then I tried editing qcn file. Put my IMEI (one SIM). Restored qcn (not enabling both SIM options). Got my IMEI in one SIM. But same result.. tried different roms with my IMEI same result.
*#*#4636#*#* in this test mode, under phone information, my radio was off, can't turn it on. when I press smsc my SIM customer care number and message centre number displayed.
Then I found this, I power off my device went to i USB diagnosis menu (vol down + power) I tried RF test, 2G antenna and 3g antenna both failed..
And when I try to load parameter ( I don't know for what this option is for just did) then it showed
Not found file: modemst1.
Not found file: modemst2
Not found file: fsg.
Not found file: persist.
Done.

i sloved this issue... its was the wrong qcn file.. when i flashed the correct qcn i got my network back.. everthing working fine as of now...

At me too after certain manipulations with phone the erase settings Modemst1 and Modemst2 , this two files deleted in my phone. I flash fastboot rom via EDL mode + add modemst1.img, modemst2.img in partition.xml + rawprogram5.xml and they flash in my phone. I've lost imei + meid + esn + baseband unknown. I flash my backup qcn file made by qpst 2.7.472, imei + meid + esn + baseband all shows well and correct, but now the phone has stopped catching mobile networks at all, just burn the gray sticks with a cross. Help me please model Mi Mix 2s M1803D5XA ! Need Solution how to raise mobile networks after recovering from the qcn file made by qpst 2.7.272 from the same phone when everything worked in this phone. Thank all who answer me!!!!

Tonight i have worked on Sm-b350e keypad phone and unbricked it and do imei repair
This phone have two type of soc
Sc6551c and sc8501c
Phone Stucked on logo and reboot after flash because all file flashe stored in internet and supports are for sc8501c
and download mode not work(PC cant set connection for flashing)
i found a way to unbrick it without problem & Imei Repair It with signal(Im Sure First in the world)

Only firmware of sc8501c is available in the froums and box supports
Many of thia device bricked by flashing this firmwares.
