[HOW TO ROOT] Samsung f41 both one UI2/3 - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys, I know that most have doubts on rooting Samsung f41 . let's go step by step
This method does not brick your phone [Fully Tested] the only thing is you have to follow all steps properly
1. go to developer settings ( to enable it go to About phone software information tap the build number 5 to 7 times ) activate "allow oem unlock", and turn off the device, connect it to the computer with a cable, and, as soon as you plug in the cable, press volume + and volume - at the same time, then, press and hold volume +, after this, just press one time the volume up button to confirm, the bootloader will be unlocked and the device reset, as soon as the screen "erasing" disappears.
2. Now go to download mode for that power of your phone and press vol up and vol down at the same time and plugin your charger wire which is connected to your pc and that's all
3. make sure your computer recognized your device in download mode, go to odin, go to "AP", and select the root file according to your android version, press "start", and it's done! just install magisk apk and let the app do the additional configuration
NOTE - every time when you turn on your device, a black screen will appear saying that the software is not official from samsung, just press power, it's normal.
on oneui 2/2.5, the root is a little bit unstable, but on oneui 3 it's solved, I recommend OneUi 3 for being more stable and updated.

[Q] My new Samsung Galaxy 3 isnt working

Im new to all rooting and Recently i attempted to root my phone for the first time it using the Samsung galaxy s3 toolkit V5. My build was not listed so i selected build #1, I installed the drivers to my pc, went to rooting options, selected option #3 All In One, Enabled usb debugging ans started the process which opened up odin and started doing its thing, but basically my phone was in odin mode with the android figure which says downloading... Do not turn off target! but of course I thought it wasnt working and i had to unplug the usb and put it back in (Im such a noob).
Now my phone will not boot at all, when i hold up volume power and home a battery image shows up and the phone shuts off again even though its plugged into my computer.
When i hold volume down power and home, this shows up: Warning! A custom os can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications
if you want to download a custom os press the volume up key, otherwhise press volume down to restart phone.
If i press voulume down it does not restart, it simply shuts off again.
If i press volume up it goes back to the downloading android even though it isnt downloading anything.
At the top left corner it says:
ODIN MODE
Product name: SGH-I747M
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (3 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
My phone is not even detected on my computer or by the toolkit anymore.
I cant find any solutions to my specific problem anywhere on the internet and im starting to lose hope. Please help me.

Fix For Freezing After 4.4.2 Update

I've seen quite a few posts of people with freezing after installing 4.4.2 no matter what they do and both myself and a friend have been at the mercy of this - myself with a custom rom and my friend with the Samsung OTA update.
From what I remember from back in the HD2 days with similar symptoms it's related to the baseband/modem - a check of both her phone and mine showed the baseband was incorrect for the ROM and updating it resolved the issue.
The following guide will flash the latest stock, unrooted, NB4 ROM with a matching modem/baseband.
Whilst it shouldn't affect Knox as everything is official signed files (and Knox is fine on my friends phone after I did this procedure), I take no responsibility for your own Knox status.
***THIS *SHOULDN'T* AFFECT KNOX IN ANY WAY AS YOU ARE ONLY FLASHING SIGNED STOCK SAMSUNG STUFF***
First off, backup anything on the phone you want to keep and download the following then extract them all to the same folder:
Samsung USB Drivers - http://developer.samsung.com/android...er-for-Windows
Odin - http://uploaded.net/file/hwtdrpll
Latest 4.4.2 Firmware - https://mega.co.nz/#!QVwlVDgJ!QyAxmD...TVvdM07LOs0V10
PIT File for 4.4.2 Firmware - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9&postcount=77
NB1 Modem Firmware - https://mega.co.nz/#!JJBglRDY!ZT5SkT...4obRSKpB4B8NB1
1) Install Samsung Drivers
2) On your phone go Settings --> General --> About and keep tapping "Build Number" until it says developer mode enabled.
3) Go back to Settings --> General and tap Developer Options.
4) Tick enable "USB Debugging" then plug the phone into your computer.
5) Push and hold Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button all at the same time - hold until it goes black and vibrates indicating it
rebooted. Once it vibrates, release the power button but keep the other two held down - when you get the prompt on the screen press Volume Up - this will put the phone into Odin mode.
6) On the computer, right click Odin and click "Run as Administrator"
7) Click the button labelled PIT and select the file "My_N9005.pit"
8) Click the button labelled AP and select the file labelled "N9005XXUENB4_N9005DBTENB1_N9005XXUENB1_HOME.tar.m d5"
9) Make sure Re-Partition is ticked and click start.
10) When it finishes your phone will reboot - once you see the Samsung Logo, put the phone back into Odin Mode by pushing and holding Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button again, same as last time. Don't close Odin just yet.
12) In Odin, click Reset and then click the button labelled AP and select the file called "N9005XXUENB3_Modem-XXUENB1-LTE.tar.md5"
13) Click Start
14) When it finishes it should reboot. Dont panic about your phone appearing german, you can change the language right at the start on the first screen
***Optional Steps***
If your phone doesn't boot still, do the following:
1) Hold down Volume Up + Home Button + Power until it reboots, then release the power button keeping the other two held down (Basically the same as Odin mode except Volume Up instead of Volume Down).
2) You should now be in recovery - ignore any errors. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset then Wipe Cache Partition - you don't need to reboot in between.
3) Once that's done, reboot and you should be up and running fine. If it still hasn't booted after 10 mins at this point, it's the phone itself most likely.
hi what is the password for download.. mega is asking for decryption key...

HELP Please; soft brick

Hi everyone.
Ok back in August I purchased an Oppo r7plus "m" version not knowing the difference, from a 3rd party seller. I know I probably should've waited until the phone would go on sale in Canada but I wasn't sure if it ever would. So anyways the phone worked great for a while. I noticed that it came pre loaded with OPPO Tools and Super SU. I thought wow, this phone is rooted right of the box? Great! So I started uninstalling some native apps of which I thought were just "bloatware", everything went fine until I uninstalled the weather app.
When I turned the phone back on after restarting, it now goes into the OS but continuosly flashes on and off and you can only access the dropdown notification screen. Luckily from there I can still access the settings menu. I tried holding the power button and volume down button to go to the factory boot screen. That worked and in there its says the color os version, but in brackets says
(rooted).
I can only assume the phone is still rooted but is stuck in some sort of soft brick. I've been doing alot of reading into how I might be able to fix the phone but I'm having trouble figuring it out. I'm good with computers and all but not to this level and I never rooted an android phone before.
Please somebody HELP.
So I've downloaded the ROM for my phone model, r7 plus m, and I transfered the zip file over to the internal storage of the device. I then held down the volume down and power buttons to boot to color os recovery. Than I cleared cache and install from sd found the zip file and it started to run.
After about a minute or two into the installation it stops and reads "Installation Failed". I'm thinking I need a recovery.img file but I'm not sure. Even if I had that file I don't know what to do next.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, how did you sort it? Are you still in need of stock recovery? I have one for model F, dont know if it works with M model.
1. Download and extract my RAR files ---> HERE
2. Open your PC device manager
3. Connect an usb cable only to your pc then press and hold the phone volume + button and then connect the usb cable to the phone
3. In the device manager you will see Qhsub_bulk then release the volume+ button
4. Right click on Qhsub_bulk and choose update driver
5. Use one of the driver folders which you alredy extract to install the Qualcomm driver and you will see it like 9008
6. Your phone have to be charged very well for a few hours before you try to flash it.
7. Remove it from the charger then connect an usb cable only to your pc.
8. Try to press and hold the volume + and power buttons at the same time for a few seconds and connect the usb cable to the phone.
9. You have to see the driver in the device manager like 9006 (you can release the buttons) [it wasn't easy for me so keep trying]
10. Open the MSMDownloader and press start
11. If everything is ok you will see a green progress bar flashing. (I was stuck here with the "NON-HLOS.bin" file which you can see in the "Other NON-HLOS File" folder inside the rom which you download)
12. When the process complete in about 10 minutes you can remove the usb cable from your phone.
13. Now you have to do a veeeeeeeery long press and hold on your power button untill you feel the vibration and after that you will see the OPPO logo.
14. Leave it for 5-10 minutes to load the Color OS.
15. Ok you have a working phone but still some apps icons that are missing and the keyboard doesn't appear when you have to write something.
16. Download THIS zipped ROM and put it in the internal storage of your phone.
17. Shut down the phone then press and hold the volume - and the power button at the same time for a while intil you enter into recovery mode.
18. Choose english and then install rom from zip file. After the installation complete reboot the phone and you will get a working keyboard and few more apps like Browser, Chinese market and else....
For me i still need to insert the IMEI's because they are lost... and now i have message: Oppo nv backup. The NV partition is invalid...
Good luck to all! And if you want to give me a beer: paypal: [email protected]

SM-J410F cannot into download mode?

Hello,
I have a problem, today I install the combination file to my SM-J410F Samsung device but it not work I get %80 and failed and write something (like custom binary fused ) but after that I want to download another Stock firmware but I noticed that it cannot into download mode and when I Press Vol up + power it only show the Samsung logo and turn off, I try many times but it's something.....
I also use jig USB to force the device to download mode but it doesn't work.
Please help me it's very important to me. I Appropriate your bits of help.
Hi,
I have J415 in hand and I believe you can follow these steps:
1. turn off the phone
2. hold vol up+ vol down and connect usb
you should be in download mode now.

Recovery
Plz i want link to twrp (recovery) of samsung j4 core (SM-J410f/ds)
I also have a this issue. Power & vol+ & vol- plug in USB, Samsung logo then a blue screen, possibly with an exclamation mark, but only for a split second. The reboots and does the same continuously. I was on android pie uk and tried to flash twrp, failed 3 times. Tried to reflash 8.1 which ended in a fail and now it won't boot, won't boot recovery and won't go into download mode. Does this mean a flat battery? Should I leave it on charge with no sign it's charging? Hold the 3 buttons on reboot for 5/10 minutes?
As it stands now, it's not bricked but I can't do anything with it.
I solved it by holding all 3 buttons and plugging into USB, it did the whole rebooting thing as usual but I kept the buttons held for about 15/20 reboots and then it FINALLY went into download and I could flash stock rom. If important or not, I'd left it charging all night but showed no sign of life whilst it 'charged'
have same problem same it is kind of security to avoid writing Combination

Question How to boot stright to TWRP from Download Mode

I'm kinda stuck here, praticing how to go right to TWRP from Download Mode. I did the Volume Down + Power to Reboot, then Volume Up + Power Straight away when the screen turns off.
The trouble is, there is a root warning that requires me to release all buttons and press Power to continue, which messes up going to Recovery. I'm on S9080, any tips would be apperciated, trying to upgrade to Android 13
In order to go to TWRP:
a) Power off you phone, i.e. if you are in Download Mode you go for "reboot" and then you power down your phone manually
b) if you want to somehow go "straigt" from Download Mode to TWRP (e.g. because you are stuck in a boot loop, like me) you can try the following:
1) You are in Downlod mode
2) You attach (or keep attached) the USB cable!
3) You tell Download mode to reboot
4) You wait for the moment when you phone has powered down during the reboot cycle (the phone should vibrate for a sec)
5) Then you press the home + volume up button.
Note: It is important that during step 5 the USB cable is connected, because starting TWRP needs *three* things: USB attached + Home button + Volume up
Maybe this works.
