I had used that on coloros 11 too

With 10+ you have the option to swipe with your palm to take a screen shot. Works well.
One handed Operation + will allow you to set a edge side swipe to take a screenshot or many other functions.

You can swipe your palm across the screen to take a screenshot, or you can press the volume down plus power button.

Taking screen shots and multi-window app screens

To take a screenshot of your watch:
Swipe right and hold the home button at the same time.
To show multi-window on your watch:
On any screen, swipe (halfway) up and immediately down. It will show you multiple open apps all in one place.
For those who didnt know.
Screenshot option, I knew and it works.
Multi-window, I didn't know and it doesn't work for me. Hmm...

one touch camera

I recently switched from Honor 7 to Honor View 10.
On H7 i had configured it that when the phone was off (or on) that i touch the button on the left and the camera went on right away.
very handy if you want to take a quick snap of your cats doing something silly
well, the H10 doesnt have a button on the left . and i went through all the phone settings if you can configure anything for a one touch of another button or a voice command to start the camera right away. but i didnt find anything.
now i have to unlock the phone with fingerprint, face or voice command and then tap on the camera icon. Takes way too long and the situation/funny moment etc passed.
Is there any way to quick start the camera?
Go to camera, open settings by sliding your finger from right to left. Tap the last option called "Ultra Snapshot" and check the first option to open the camera and take a quick snap by double tapping the volume Down button. Take a look at the screen shots below.

Note 10+ 2 big screw ups ?

I don't know if I am the fool here but has the hard press area on the screen on note 9 been removed from note 10+ ?
I aware I have tried hard pressing all over those screen to no avail.
Also another issue is the fingerprint scanner. It's working fine for me regardless to other people's reports but I have to press the damn power button to turn the display on now.
With note 9 I just placed my finger on the back of the phone and it always unlocked flawlessly and now no hard press and I can't just place my finger on the screen to turn the screen on.
Is there no way to make a hard press region in the screen even if third party software?
Has anyone found a AOD theme for note 10+ with a fingerprint mark on the display so I can always see where to exactly place my finger without having to press power button ?

As far as I know hard press time button is gone I also have the note 9 and I'm on the upgrade program and I've upgraded to the note 10 plus
I havemt recieved the jiffy bag yet of samsung to return the note 9 but if I'm honest I'm thinking of returning the note 10 I cannot stand the fingerprint scanner and the camera punch for me just spoils the whole experience of a great display
And there is also all the health sensors, headphone jack, iris scanner
I have set the always on display to tap to display. So I can either tap the display then use my fingerprint, or I actually can just use the fingerprint directly (if I am at the approximate correct position).
My only issue is that my fingerprints are messed up from dryness and working on rough stuff. So, it takes a bit of time for the fingerprint reading to register (and I have to press pretty hard).

Yea I am thinking of sending it back as well. I'll give it a few more days to fool around with before I make my decision.
I have mine setup to wake up when I pick it up, and enable face recognition along fingerprints since the on screen reader sucks.
The face recognizition is almost instant. No idea how secure it is, but works well

1) Hard press - meaning that when on home screen, tap and hold on an icon to get context menu? - If yes, then it is still there
2) I don't have to turn the screen on to be able to unlock the phone. You just need to be precise where you place your finger while the screen is dark

No hard press as in it works as a home button which was a great feature for a phone without a physical home button.

How to take a screenshot on the N20U 5G

This might sound like a stupid question but it's something that I never gave it too much thought with my previous phones as it was simply power+ down volume button and that's it but it just doesn't work with my N20U, I also tried the gesture one and it also doesn't work, what am I doing wrong and how to fix it without resetting the settings?
Volume down and the power button works perfectly on mine. You have to push and release pretty fash and it pops up. Keep in mind that you can also use the spen to take a screen shot/screen write, wave the pen in a zig zag or even use smart select if you don't want to capture the whole screen. For the palm swipe you do have to turn that on if you haven't done that already. It's under "advanced features" and then "screenshot and screen recorder. " I hope that helps and give you several options!
Oh and palm swipe is under motion and gestures.
The easiest is to download Good Lock and use NavStar to add a screen shot button to your navigation bar.
take your s-pen out and click screen write.

Wouldn't know. Not an issue for me. I also have the power button on the navigation bar and haven't accidentally turned off my phone either. Like everything, to each their own.
I just use palm swipe to take screenshots, just run the edge / base of your palm across the screen.
Yes I swipe palm from left side of screen to right side
Is the easiest

Not really the easiest way when it requires one to have a nav bar.
So simple on chinese phones but number one manufacturers still struggling.
They should think of knock knock knuckle or 3 finger swipe.

Yeah I wouldn't say it's 1%, for one making up statistics on the internet is a bit childish.
Two, one can achieve 6 different tasks from the edge of either side of the screen without torturing themselves with a cluttered ugly (in my opinion) asymmetrical nav bar.
Samsung/Android 10 gestures with One Hand Op+ means you sacrifice zero screen space while being able to back, recents, and home from any angle.
Heck. From one side of my phone I can go back (horizontal short swipe), home (diagonal down shirt swipe), and recents (diagonal up short) from both sides of the device. I can jump to my last app with a horizontal long swipe, and that still leaves me two more gestures to customize. Four of you count both sides of the screen.
How does this benefit op, well they can use one hand op to assign screen shots to a long gesture. I mean who is rebooting and screenshotting that much that they need a dedicated button at the bottom of the screen. Nevermind literally having a power button in the notification pull down, seems like a pretty inefficient use of space on such a gorgeous screen.

You are right, it's definitely less than 1% of phone users that turn off the nav bar. I shouldn't have rounded up.
There are tons of options for screen shots so attacking an on screen button in order to justify your preference says a lot.
The power button on the nav bar doesn't reboot. It's a software button to turn off the screen instead of hitting the hardware power button.
Hitting a button works 100% of the time. No gesture works 100% of the time.
Anyway, you clearly have a your way or no way mentality so I'm out on this conversation.
Hopefully OP finds one of many options for screen shots that works.

My gestures work every time. You can adjust the length and sensitivity to your individual liking. Again while having the whole screen for an immersive viewing experience.
No one is attacking anything. It's a permanent button for a temporary problem. But hey Android is about choice.
But I mean if someone needs to black out the screen. Seems one hand op has a gesture for that. Crazy the flexibility of Android.

Take a screenshot with the S-Pen?

Hi. Is there any way to set up my S-Pen to take a screenshot? I tend to take a lot of screenshots and hitting the volume down and the power button can be quite cumbersome. I know that you can also swipe the screen to take one too. Sometimes that doesn't work so well either. Sometimes it switches screens or moves the screen instead of taking the shot.
Every app that I see to change S-Pen buttons or gesture to open up an app, does just that. It opens up a chosen app, and that's not what I'm looking for.
Any help or guidance would be great. I wish that I can just push the button on the S-Pen and have it take the screenshot. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

it seems that you are a new Note Series user...
One main point of having a Note is Screenshot.
S-Pen feature that already been there since the first Note is Screen Write a.k.a Screenshot & you can annotate on it.
Now, you can do it in 2 ways...
Point the S-Pen on the screen without touching & press the button, then choose Screen Write
Press & Hold the button while waving the S-Pen in a Zig-Zag movement

I have my S-Pen setup to launch Screen Write. This is how I did it:
Settings > Advanced features > S-Pen > Air actions > Hold down Pen button to > Screen Write
Now when you hold down the S-Pen button away from the screen, Screen Write is launched and you can Edit, Share or just save it. Very easy.
Awesome, thank you very much. I must've had it set up wrong.

Goodlock
Also Pentastic with the Samsung Goodlock app will let you program the button hold double tap screen to smartselect or screen write.
