Ok. So that what's happening to me for a while.
I got xiaomi Poco f2 pro, and my phone is locking without any interference. I can watch YouTube, Netflix, i can use discord, my phone can just lie on on the table and suddenly he is locked. Weird is that my main lock screen have wallpaper with cat (for post purpose i will say IMAGE 1) and my desktop where I got all my apps IMAGE 2. so everytime when it locks by it self it has IMAGE 2. not screen lock image. Desktop.
Sometimes even i need to unlock him TWICE cause i have first lock screen and than second one.
So that all... Anyone have solve? I'm not using any kind of Google launchers or anything. Pure MIUI 12.5.1
I would disable screen lock (at least for now) before it locks you out.
Malware is always a possibility especially if it didn't do it before and no other cause can be found.
If malware is suspected and can't be promptly found/deleted, factory reset.

so you think it could be a virus?

It's always a possibility. If you run your Android well it's highly unlikely even on Pie.
However if suspected prompt action is the best way to limit damage.
I don't like that it's a critical system that's affected. That could go south on you fast.

I've been getting a strange issue lately. It can happen in any app, but it usually occurs during or just after a transition of some sort (sliding or something like that). The problem is that I get a field of random graphical static somewhere on the screen. While I've seen it happen in quite a few apps it happens randomly and I can't reliably reproduce it. It almost always happens in the same places in each app, however.
I've attached a screenshot (the static is the block in the top-left corner). This particular app is Reddit News Pro, but like I said, it can happen in almost any app. I'm on stock 5.0.1 on my N5, rooted, Xposed.

I find it interesting that is happening at a software level, were you able to take screenshots as well? I once had a glitch that looked like that, only on the status bar when opening the feedly settings on lollipop. I don't use lollipop and I've never seen it again.
If the phone is certainly dying, I once held a galaxy note (or note 2? all samsung devices look the same to me) which I could not reflash or even partition but entered in the boot-loader, and the owner told me a few months later that someone fixed it. I don't remember what it had or if he told me at all though.

I don't think it's software. Pretty sure your digitizer is dying. Mine went quickly, yours seems more slow. Over the course of a week mine went from the (entire) screen occasionally glitching for a few seconds or minutes, to permanently showing what's in the pic. In that state the device was unusable except for hard rebooting by long-pressing the power button.

It may not be software, but I just find weird that it appears on screenshots so, If it is hardware indeed then I don't think it can be repaired as the phone I previously mentioned. Just in case I would roll back the phone to Kitkat and give it a try before thinking the worst. The main reason I rolled back to kitkat was graphic and lockscreen glitches that would force me to soft reboot the phone every now and then.
Prior to 5.1.1, every time the phone was idle for a short period of time the lock screen would appear and, when I was home, SmartLock left it unlocked, most of the time, but it always appeared. Since upgrading to 5.1.1, the lock screen rarely appears anymore and, when I’m away from home, since the lock screen rarely appears anymore, my phone is often unlocked and unlocked without a lock screen and having my phone unlocked is a big security issue . I don’t know if this is related to 5.1.1 or, perhaps, a recent Google Play Services update (since Google Play Services is responsible for so many things nowadays, I assume it’s suspect).
Anyone else have this issue/know of a possible fix? Thanks.
Bump. Is no one else having this issue? The lock screen for everyone works perfectly on 5.1.1?
Yes, since 2 weeks ago. Any solution?
None that I know of—I still have the problem.
Just chiming in to say this issue appears to be largely resolved since Android 6.0.

Resolved? Apparently not that largely. Such issue started 24 hours ago on my 6.0.1 device. Unable to lock screen despite pattern (or whatever chosen) is correctly set. No "smart lock" option is used, BTW; Though lock screen often appears but only when shutting down and restart the phone, not by rebooting it. Looked exhaustively for a common fix, but everyone suggests the same old, clear caches, credentials and device administrator thing. That is NOT working here. Safe mode says nothing's wrong with apps causing the flaw either. Yes, I'm rooted, on Xposed and all that stuff, as always. Probably it is related somehow; however, issue has never ever showed on any other device I had, and I had two previous on 6.0.1 as well. If anyone has a different hint on the subject, well it'll be well appreciated.

I have never had this problem before, but my phone keeps unlocking itself, and closing my 95.1 wiil rock app. While in my pocket. I disallowed the app from placing controls on the lock screen thinking that was it, but nope. Sometimes a browser will open up to a page i have never visited. Are there any viruses that can do this? I run avg zen. Its a little spooky to have a fingerprint scanner locked phone be totally open, and unlocked upon retrieval from my pocket. Just sayin'
Hi there,
Could it be that you have a trusted device set that for some reason is trying to connect to the web?
Out of curiosity could you post the link as i had something similiar a while ago but with a tapjacker type app

install a custom recovery
wipe everything
reflash system
So I have updated to Oreo through the OTA update.
Essentially no issues except...
Intermittently the lock screen actually locks up or when you wake it from black and locked the screen just keeps flashing up and off making entering my PIN impossible.
The only solution is to restart the phone. Then maybe 8 to 10 or 15 unlocks later and it does it again.
I'm on Vodafone AUS Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955F)
Samsung was like oh we have to either do a reset or uninstall every app one by one to work out which third party app is the problem. Surely there are logs they can look at. Language (or script issues) meant when I called they got me to boot into "Safe Mode" and said if you can log in here without issue then it's a third party app issue, despite me saying it was an intermittent problem and despite the fact that the problem is before logging in past the lock screen.
Is there logs I can get/look at that can help determine the actual problem?
Anyone else had the problem and know a fix?
I.m a bit worried because, since few days, whatever I m doing, suddenly my screen lock appears (with fingerprint) !
It's about every 10-20 min; more often just after unlock
Of course it's not blocking, but quite annoying...
I'm running stock, no root, no mod, with gm1910 model default,/native screen lock
I suspected Ms launcher,, but even back to op launcher it's same...
Also, o have to say that I don't install too many apps all the time... Shouldn't be a virus issue...
Any idea where it could came from???
Edit: solved. that was due to a fuzzy option in the developer menu, about smartlock.
