I have never had this problem before, but my phone keeps unlocking itself, and closing my 95.1 wiil rock app. While in my pocket. I disallowed the app from placing controls on the lock screen thinking that was it, but nope. Sometimes a browser will open up to a page i have never visited. Are there any viruses that can do this? I run avg zen. Its a little spooky to have a fingerprint scanner locked phone be totally open, and unlocked upon retrieval from my pocket. Just sayin'
Hi there,
Could it be that you have a trusted device set that for some reason is trying to connect to the web?
Out of curiosity could you post the link as i had something similiar a while ago but with a tapjacker type app

I used to own an iphone 4 and that device has great responsivnes. The captivate not so much. ALot of times I would have to tap 2-3 times, especially the 4 main bottom keys. Anyways, I went to android for pure customization. Can someone help me out? I cannot find the option to disable the screen lock on my captivate. I just want to be able to lock/unlock it with a button, instead of swyping the unresponsive screen. Thanks
Go download Lock Bot on the market.

Yeah I figured. Well if I can't disable this annoying screen lock, ill just set the lock out to 30 minutes. This android device has such an unresponsive screen compared to the iphone 4. I find myself having to tap 2-3 times on an icon and the system also LAGS. Any of you expereinicing this or is it just me? For example, i have a full album of really high quality DSLR images and in the gallery mode, pictures sometimes take forever to load when im scrolling through. My old iphone 4 did this instantly. Switching between apps like Email, web browser and MP3 player would not be instant. 2-5 second lag in between. Really disapointing on the captivate.
The poster above just gave you the solution for disabling the locking screen so I don't know why you are still posting about not being able to do it.
I experienced so major lagging etc when I first got the Captivate. I hard reset it to start fresh. Since then, I've used the stock launcher, Launcher Pro etc loaded lots of apps and I'm not experiencing lagging anymore with the exception of Exchange email which takes a second to open.
Seems like you were really satisfied with the iphone 4. You keep referring to it like an old girlfriend. "My old girlfriend never hassled me about going out with the boys..." At least, if the Captivate doesn't work out for you, you have a phone to go back to that you were apparently happy with.

yeah, we have a thread solely for whining in...there was never a need for you to make a new topic about this. it just clutters the homescreen.
simple searching would answer a lot of your questions...root the phone, remove the att bloatware and then restart it and get a task killer. problem solved.
don't use the sammy widgets if you don't like them (i use them and they don't lag) and most importantly, android allows for customization but it's based off linux so heed these words - YOU NEED TO DO IT YOURSELF. in other words, you need to write the app that bypasses the lock screen, you need to write your own themes and you need to quit whining about it.
the iPhone has a lock screen too, i don't know why yours is being laggy but like everything YMMV...so try the fixes (refer to pimp my captivate) and then let us know if you have any other issues...
oh and welcome to the forums, just use the damn search button
I have an app protector that I like to use on my phone as oppose to a lockscreen, but I'm running into one slight issue. If someone reboots the phone, there is about a 30-second gap in between booting the phone and the app locker booting, leaving time for them to say, install apps, or bypass other security tricks I've implemented. Is there some way I can put my app protector on some sort of boot priority list? I'd like to be able to run without a lockscreen and keep someone using the device rather than have them toss it or get rid of it quickly.
I.m a bit worried because, since few days, whatever I m doing, suddenly my screen lock appears (with fingerprint) !
It's about every 10-20 min; more often just after unlock
Of course it's not blocking, but quite annoying...
I'm running stock, no root, no mod, with gm1910 model default,/native screen lock
I suspected Ms launcher,, but even back to op launcher it's same...
Also, o have to say that I don't install too many apps all the time... Shouldn't be a virus issue...
Any idea where it could came from???
Edit: solved. that was due to a fuzzy option in the developer menu, about smartlock.
Hello guys, what's the best way to lock the phone instantly after boot ? I would like to have my phone locked between certain time of a day. I wake up sometimes and start using my phone. I want to prevent that. I want my phone locked between 00 to 7 AM.
I have tried multiple applications from Play Store but they don't lock the phone instantly after boot. I thought making them system applications would fix the problem but it didn't.
It would be the best if there would be something similar like "Windows Task Scheduler" where I could schedule a task to run on boot.
Thank you in advance!
Ok. So that what's happening to me for a while.
I got xiaomi Poco f2 pro, and my phone is locking without any interference. I can watch YouTube, Netflix, i can use discord, my phone can just lie on on the table and suddenly he is locked. Weird is that my main lock screen have wallpaper with cat (for post purpose i will say IMAGE 1) and my desktop where I got all my apps IMAGE 2. so everytime when it locks by it self it has IMAGE 2. not screen lock image. Desktop.
Sometimes even i need to unlock him TWICE cause i have first lock screen and than second one.
So that all... Anyone have solve? I'm not using any kind of Google launchers or anything. Pure MIUI 12.5.1
I would disable screen lock (at least for now) before it locks you out.
Malware is always a possibility especially if it didn't do it before and no other cause can be found.
If malware is suspected and can't be promptly found/deleted, factory reset.

It's always a possibility. If you run your Android well it's highly unlikely even on Pie.
However if suspected prompt action is the best way to limit damage.
I don't like that it's a critical system that's affected. That could go south on you fast.
