Root UG802

Hi, I´m a Ug802 owner and i root my stick using this chinese tool.
Its very easy to use and automatically install superuser. Just need to run it a restart the stick.
Plug USB to pc, check USB debbuging and connect to pc..........wait until recognize the Ug802, then click on ROOT (its the only word in inglish on bottom left.
Thats it..................

After doing root i instal a new ROM(firmware) and new ROM improve the movie streaming from pc to stick (I already can run movies in 720p but 1080p have lags)
I think you can use it on other RK3066 devices

Can you confirm which ug802 you started with ?? There are quite a few different ones out there it seems. Ive had mine for 3 weeks now, it seems to be the latest version as it came preloaded with JellyBean.

Probably is the same model,mine comes with 4.1.1 and pre-rooted.

Thank you. I did try translate, but it says something like "Brush Application" so I had no idea what it was. Anyway, I tried it - still can't get my UG802 device to root. I've tried at least 3-4 different ways, this latest incarnation of UG802 seems to have a real problem with rooting.

Root with this software works
I can confirm this method. It works. Though i do not speak Chinese i could also install some kind of Google Play / Android market. Experimenting at the moment.

It didn't work for me. There are different UG802 incarnations, mine appears real "root resistant."

VS987 with internation SIM Questions

Hi There,
I have a Verizon G5 and I'm using it overseas. There are 2 issues I would like to ask:
1) Phone does not update itself via OTA or PC with regular ways. Current version is VS98710B. How can I update it? (I don't have Verizon service)
2) I see that most recent update (VS98714A) brings an issue that; when the phone is reset, it can only be used again with entering the gmail account/password associated with that phone. What if I give/sell the phone to someone else? How can a different person use it again?

Have you tried taking the sim out and then upgrading over wifi?

You can try make a update via LGUP (without delete you'r data)

I tried LGUP but it does not recognize my phone. I think I need find a way to make it see the phone.

i cant say much about update, i had that issue as well.
and about google lock, if you reset your phone from settings menu and give it to someone its fine, but if you reset it from android recovery (before phone starts up) than you have to activate it using previous google account. its same as apple does it

2 days ago i update my LG G5 VS987 via LGUP. All was great
I make zip archive with all needs programms to update our phone. If you wanna it, send me a message - [email protected]

Install HiSuite.

My phone doesn't boot due to a problem an update.
When I connect my phone to my laptop HiSuite doesn't detect it, here is the the proof as photo from my computer when I connect my phone

You don't need a PC to dload. Just put the update.app file inside dload and hold down volume +, - and power button.

How can I put the update.app file inside dload without computer, I have no idea about that, sorry for all these questions.

That's the erecovery. Plug in your SD card using a card reader then put the files in.

So, I need create a new folder then rename it to "dload" and after that I think I need to put in the update.app all these steps in my SD card, is it true?

Marcos and I'm from Peru, excuse my English, unlock the bootloader and flashed twrp and the computer started to restart indefinitely, looking for a backup full twrp copy it in my sd card restore from twrp and restart the phone was left screen black with blue led light on, connect to pc and I get this:

Thank you very much, but I already tried this supposed backup of the TRT-LX3 and it was in a bootloop (unlike the version of the TRT-LX1 that strangely worked).

hi, in my case my computer is completely dead, does not enter fastboot mode or recovery mode only the pc recognizes qhsusbulk.Actualmente I can not find a solution.

Manual update Asus Zenfone 3 laser ZC551KL To android O

Hello everyone ,
Today i will show you how i updated my Asus Zenfone 3 Laser ( ZC551KL ) To android O
You can go to ASUS official website to download newer firmware and instruction manual.
Note:
Please make sure the firmware SKU you download is conformed to what on your phone, eg., WW -> WW, CN -> CN, TW -> TW. Incorrect SKU will lead to update failure.
You can not change the SKU from one to another, eg., WW -> TW, and also can not downgrade your firmware, eg., V2.20.40.13 -> V2.19.40.18.
During update process, please charge your phone with AC adaptor or make sure the phone has at least 15% battery life.
Steps for update:
1. Go to "Need Help?" page of ASUS official website http://www.asus.com/support to download ZIP file of firmware.
Note: Double click the ZIP file after downloading is completed. If the content is another intact ZIP file (as shown in red on picture below),
please upzip the file again.
If the content is not an intact ZIP file (as shown in yellow), you do not have to do anything.
Close the ZIP file after check.

For some upgraded versions that have great difference, e.g., from Jelly Bean (Android 4.3) to KitKat (Android 4.4),

I'm in same situation. Currently on rooted WW_user_30.42.31.1_20170629, with twrp as recovery, and want to switch to the orero, but afraid to stack in bootloop or brick the device...

Yes, I understand that there are no root for zc551kl's orero firmware.
So I actually asking, is it possible to update rooted device to the latest nonrooted firmware with android 8? And if possible, how to do it?

I'm sorry, does this means, that our device doesn't count on recovery while updating, or twrp can handle asuses update packages?

According to the post below it is possible to update from 7.1 root to 8.0 stock:
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=780017&view=findpost&p=90106138 (in Russian).
The rough order of actions:
1. Restore original recovery - Download the original ASUS recovery, put the renamed img file in root and run the command referenced in section 1 in TWRP
2. Remove root - Go to SuperSU and select "full unroot"
3. Install the fallowing stock firmware: UL-Z01B_1-WW-32.40.106.114-user
