Stop Bluetooth pairing notification requests - General Topics

I paired my Galaxy s10e with my desktop 2 days ago. Even tho the pairing is successful, I'm still getting numerous, repeated popup notification requests on my desktop to pair my phone.
If you click on the first image, it takes you to the Win 10 Bluetooth settings where it asks you if the 6 number code showing is the same as the one on your phone.. When you answer yes, it says "connection failed".
In the second image, you see what appears after you select the three dot drop down menu on the right upper portion of the first image, but nothing happen when you click on it to stop notifications, and there is no "Add a Device" sender in my "Get a notification from these senders" list
Is this a phone issue or Windows Problem?

How to disable the receiving data notification

Hi
I'm working with a system that runs on mobile5
This software runs in more than one device and it needs to synchronize data over bluetooth.
The problem is every time the file is sent from device1 to device2 the device2 display first a notification saying "You are receiving data. To stop receiving, press Cancel" and when the file is received a notification saying the "Do you want to accept <<FILENAME>>"
This creates lot of problems because if a user press "cancel" or "no" the synchronization fails and because the device2 does not process the information until somebody press the "yes" on the second notification.
Does anyone knows how to disable this messages?
I tried to create a pair on the devices but did not work and I'm searching the web for solution and did not find nothing.
Disable "Receiving Data" notification - solution?
I worked out a way to remove this from my Touch Pro.
It's a bit long winded - but basically I copied all the keys and data under the reg key:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{F55615D6-D29E-4db8-8C75-98125D1A7253}\
into a new key
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{0AA5AA82-8738-4D16-932D-37273BAF5A89}\
and updating the newly created value at
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{0AA5AA82-8738-4D16-932D-37273BAF5A89}\(Default)
to read "Beam: Incoming".
Doing this creates a new entry in the Event List box in
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications called "Beam: Incoming".
On my handset, all the checkboxes started out clear implying no sound or message should have appeared; I went ahead and ticked the checkboxes and chose a distinctive sound to check I had the right key then clicked okay. I sent a large file which was raising the problem I was trying to fix* and heard that distinctive sound along with the problem message.
Now I went back into that settings box and cleared the boxes, clicked okay and tried to send the file again.
Now the notification did not appear and the file I was sending was received without any issues!
Problem Solved! [but YMMV]
*the problem: any time I tried to send a file of more than a couple of kbytes from my Mac OS computer to the Touch Pro by bluetooth file transfer, the transfer would start but would hang the instant that the "Receiving Data" / "You are receiving data. To stop receiving, press Cancel" message appeared. Where the file was small, the transfer would complete before the message had time to appear and all went well.

[Q] can not set the usb connection type

Hi,
I have the Honor 6 with the latest stock software EMUI 3.
Some time ago, I have set the "usb-connection type" to "charging only". After that, the message "connected as ..." disappeared. Now how do I switch it back? I cannot see the option anywhere ?
Any ideas?
PS: Another settings screen I only find when this message pops up: "data volume is nearly used up". With a tap on it, I can see the total data usage per app screen from normal android. I have not found a way to regularly navigate there in EMUI3

Hi u all,
i have the same problem! i've tried everything.. but now i can let the mobile plugged to pc only for charging..i can't choose the kind of connection..
Ok, I called the hihonor support hotline: this is a possible bug blablabla. Solution: Reset to factory defaults or wait for lolipop update.
Another idea: try a different launcher or something, which will show the default android settings menu and no the EMUI one - is this possible?

My Gear S2 is showing wrong the time

Hello,
3 days ago my Gear S2 started showing a diferent time as the one that my HTC A9 shows. It shows 1 more hour.
I have tried reseting the watch more than once and the problem continued. I have tried setting the time manually on the phone but i have to have the time on my phone 1 hour less so that the gear shows the correct one.
I tried using network time and also no change.
Here the time zone is -4, the actual time is 5:35 pm on my phone but the watch shows 6:35 pm. If I manually change the time to 4:35 o the phone then the watch shows 5:35 pm.
I last made a downgrade of the firmware on the gear and the problem persisted, after doing the actuallization it continues.
I do not know what else to do.
Please someone help me,
Thanks
Hi there, I'm having a similar problem to this, but my watch is four hours slower than the phone/real time. This is with a Huawei Mate 8 - which already requires the use of an older version of the Gear Plugin app to even let it connect! (With the newest version of the plugin the time is correct - it just won't let the the watch connect to the phone).
Did you manage to sort your problem, and if so are you able to share the answer?
Many thanks
Jonathan
Same here
Same problem as Robert, surprised nobody has a fix for this. It has been driving me crazy. Should I call Samsung?
I have figured out a way of solving this case,
(1) Go to settings - Go to connect to new phone.
(2) Once Your watch has reseted, it will take you to the start menu(where it tell you to download the samsung gear app), if you notice, there's a question mark in the corner, click it, then scroll to the last section of the menu, and click the , I am not sure the exact name, connect-by-itself option.
(3) Once you accepted, then it will tell you to set up the watch manually, Date, GMT, and even the time.
(4) Once you've done that then your watch setup process is complete.
(5) Then go to setting and scroll to where it says "connect to phone" (as your watch is on permanent standalone mode, currently)
(6) The watch will then restart and take you to the same menu from the first place.
(7) Make sure that your phone bluetooth is on, and go to the settings in your gear s app, on the top right corner you may notice 3 dots, click it and select connect to new gear.
It worked with my watch successfully, however my watch is 5 minutes behind... so give it a try, if it doesn't work, then I can't help you further than that, I'm truly sorry.
All was fine, until I connect my Gear S2 too my Galaxy S8 again. Then time was set 1 hour + again, and date/time options are gone. That's a DST issue. Brazilian law has changed the date of DST start from this year on...

Developer messages appearing in search and entry fields

Having various boxes appear when opening a text field, a search field, entering a password or beginning to type information for messages or searches in various apps. This happens with almost all my apps. I get these green boxes popping up populated with messages like "NOT_APPLICABLE SERVER_TRUTH_DATA" or "UNKNOWN_DATA_TYPE UNKNOWN_DETECTION_METHOD" or "PASSWORD CLIENT_HEURISTICS". I am using a Samsung S10+ . This started randomly about 2 weeks ago. When I touch the screen they go away. I can't even get a screenshot. I have not been able to figure what this is or to be able to get it to stop. Thanks,

OnePlus One Notification exit delay function needed

Have you ever notice with Second verification on a website being logged on to does a text message to the phone with a 6 digit number. Well, with my bad eyes it takes a few seconds to read the small blue verification 6 digit number the site sent me. Boom, the message disappears from the lock screen and I'm not sure what it was. We need an APP or setting to flash that allows setting the amount of time that Notification stays on the lock screen or any screen.
As A second question, currently the phone does not beep when receiving a message while the main screen is lit or in a APP, but it does when locked or in the messaging APP. Need a fix for that too.
Third, Does anyone know if the Modem software has been updated past 4 for this phone. LTE has evolved and the actual form of LTE back when first being installed Nation wide is not the same LTE we have today just because of switching to using timer. Is it possible the Modem from 2017 no matter what software you use will not function too good with the current LTE Advanced the providers are using.?
