Hi all,
since few days I've a strange behavior from pocket outlook when reading messages.
When I access any message, it gets displayed from the second page like if having pressed down on the scrollweel. To properly see first part of the message, I've to press "up" (or scroll up).
The same when accessing SMS messages...
To be noted that if displaying a message having scrolled it to the top, changing screen orientation (portrait/landscape) I get the message automatically scrolled down like if having pressed once the down button...
Before, display was correct getting message displayed from the beginning (with the sender + subject).
I tried to recall what I may have installed corrupting something (in the registry?), but I do not find anything that could have caused this behavior.
Any help?
Thanks.
Found, it is a tweak on KaiserTweak
The post with the solution...
When using PocketIE/D-Pad Scroll Navigation email could start half way the email.
Please see below (from Dutty's ROM thread) : maybe is is wise to disable the tweak or remove the Adviced notification

I finally figured out the fix:
Load up KaiserTweak and Disable PocketIE/D-Pad Scroll Navigation.
I had enabled this earlier because it sounded cool, but apparently Outlook has issues with it.

I agree it should be removed from KaiserTweak, or at least not marked as suggested
i have tried the fake server method and setting to manual- didnt work
tried the disabling replog.exe using memmaid didnt work
tried unchecking change time auto in phone settings - didnt work
i tried deleting poutlook.exe from startup- didnt work
tried the reg edit of activesync mentioned earlier changing from 5 to 0 - didnt work
my god. i even installed quickmenu and hit its setting to turn off activesync
it still starts!!!
what else is possible??
Same here and it's darned annoying!
Anyone have a solution??
one more here
if you use fdcsoft task manager and go into notifications look for the repllog.exe that states "Event: The system time change" (for me its the one in the middle of the three) and disable that.

But you have to enable it every time you actually need to sync...
You shouldn't have to, the ActiveSync USB connection is controlled by one or both of the other 2. Disabling the one mentioned above has worked for me. It now ONLY appears if I ActiveSync.

Deleted the repplog when time changes, but still keeps popping up...
Hi
Before 3 days I replaced TF3d with this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423851&highlight=diamond+manila
Since now I hadn't randomly activesync and charching over night is ok
has anyone found an easier way to make this happen?
dont forget to try turning off the 'automatic change time zone and clock' found in settings-> personal -> phone ->time zones
this mixed in with disabling repllog (apprunaftertimechange)
and mixed with creating a fake server to set the update time to manual
these 3 things combined together worked for me

This 2007 thread from KidNovak explains it all.

You'll need the program “Task Manager by FdcSoft” --> go to "Notifications", select the correct repllog, and click the Icon with the RED dot at the bottom. No need to erase or delete. The Red Dot disables that repllog, and you can enable it again in the future if you need it.
I want to ask just oine thing.
What does the activesync do that you are so mad about it being active? From my own experience it doesnt seem to drain battery, it doesnt pop up any windows, it doesnt make sounds, or noises. Its quiet. So why trying to remove it with such dedication and force?
Just ignore it. I do. And i dont have a problem.
Disabling ActiveSync KeepAlive Setting to manual >>>
I have an AT&T Tilt which ActiveSync keeps autostarting every five minutes and could not stop it. It was a serious power drain on the battery. I found that it takes 3 fixes to stop the sync action from auto-starting all the time.
1. Kill the repllog / remote h process in the task manager (recommmend fdc taskmanager for this)
2. Disable the Repllog Notification (Apprunaftertimechange) in the Notification Window.
3 Registry hack > HKEY>CURRENTUSER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>ACTIVESYNC
locate value "Keep Alive" change this to "0" for disabled. 1 will keep it alive with the remote h settings.
I have Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and use AS version 4.5 the latest and this works for me.
The ultimate solution.
Ok here's what you do. The fake exchange server solution never worked for me either.
First of all you need FdcSoft's Task Manager program. It is the best and a must have.
Use the Notifications editor to disable the repllog.exe for RunAfterTimeChange. (The disable button is the one with the red dot.)
Use the registry editor to go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync] Change the KeepAlive value to 0. Tap and hold "KeepAlive" (or go to file menu) and select "Export...". (not Export All) Save this .reg file in the \\Windows\StartUp folder or save it somewhere else and copy it there.
Now you will need Ghisler's Total Commander.
Using Total Commander, browse to \\Windows\Startup folder or wherever you saved .reg file. (Windows mobile doesn't automaticaly know that .reg file should be opened with TaskMgr so you have to associate it.)
Tap and hold your .reg file and select Properties. Select "Associate" tab. Tap gray box that says "Associate..."
In "Command:" box browse to the folder where TaskMgr.exe is. (\Program Files\FdcSoft\TaskMgr\TaskMgr.exe)
In "Parameter:" box leave the "%1" there, and type "/silent" right after. ("%1/silent") This will keep a dialog box from poping up on start up.
"Ok" everything and you're done! Enjoy.
I'm also running Windows Mobile 6.1 on an HTC Touch Elfin.
Here's how I was finally able to do it, and my notes:
-disable auto time zone/clock updates in “phone” settings under personal
-disable 1 of 3 “repllog.exe” that has to do with update after time change with “TaskMgr.exe – by FdcSoft” under notifications
-change registry value of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\KeepAlive to 0 (this will not stick after reset unless you've first disabled the auto timezone/clock updates)
-reset phone
-re-enable auto time zone/clock updates (not sure if it still work though without ActiveSync)
-it will work without disabling the notification in TaskMgr too but then you have to leave auto timezone/clock changes unticked and you still have to do the registry change; ticking of auto timezone/clock changes without TaskMgr change to repllog.exe will also re-enable the keepAlive registry value
I am having trouble with SMS. When i go to NEW SMS, i usually just entered the first letter of my contact who i want to send a message to, and then a pop up window would appear showing all the contacts i have beginning with that letter. It's almost like a pre-selecting filter within SMS.
Since i changed my keyboard, this facility has disappered! Now i have to type in the full name and then go to CHECK NAMES and then select from there. It is a slow process as i have hundreds of contacts on my phone.
It was so much easier when the pop up window was shown. How do i get it back without deleting the finger friendly keyboard?
I solved this issue. Takes 10 seconds to do:
instructions... browse registry:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409\Ime File
set the Ime File value from \windows\eT9ime.dll to compime.dll
soft reset device.
in the future, please don't double post questions.
thank you
Hi,
I have the Honor 6 with the latest stock software EMUI 3.
Some time ago, I have set the "usb-connection type" to "charging only". After that, the message "connected as ..." disappeared. Now how do I switch it back? I cannot see the option anywhere ?
Any ideas?
PS: Another settings screen I only find when this message pops up: "data volume is nearly used up". With a tap on it, I can see the total data usage per app screen from normal android. I have not found a way to regularly navigate there in EMUI3

Hi u all,
i have the same problem! i've tried everything.. but now i can let the mobile plugged to pc only for charging..i can't choose the kind of connection..
Ok, I called the hihonor support hotline: this is a possible bug blablabla. Solution: Reset to factory defaults or wait for lolipop update.
Another idea: try a different launcher or something, which will show the default android settings menu and no the EMUI one - is this possible?
I paired my Galaxy s10e with my desktop 2 days ago. Even tho the pairing is successful, I'm still getting numerous, repeated popup notification requests on my desktop to pair my phone.
If you click on the first image, it takes you to the Win 10 Bluetooth settings where it asks you if the 6 number code showing is the same as the one on your phone.. When you answer yes, it says "connection failed".
In the second image, you see what appears after you select the three dot drop down menu on the right upper portion of the first image, but nothing happen when you click on it to stop notifications, and there is no "Add a Device" sender in my "Get a notification from these senders" list
Is this a phone issue or Windows Problem?
