OnePlus Nord N100 ROMs - General Questions and Answers

So, My Nord N100 just got OOS 11 and because Android 12 is right around the corner and the majority of the mobile enthusiasts hate my phone model, will there ever be ROMs for it?
It feels like it won't

I'm also thinking no. But we got 11 and we got magisk so other than TWRP there's not too much to complain about.

Is there someone currently working on LineageOS or what?
and if there is, when will the development finish?
Because I want to buy this phone and I hate EMUI

dont bother. i suggest you look elsewhere if custom ROMs is your thing. huawei devices have a very poor custom ROM scene. the only exception is the honor 5x and thats because it has a snapdragon soc.
i suggest you look at the oneplus 5. i too hate emui and wont go near it with a 100m pole. btw, talking **** about emui will get you flamed in huawei forums so watch out. the mi mix 2 is also pretty good.
android 8 might help with custom ROMs but that would still require interest from developers. what kind of features are you looking for in a phone??

When OxygenOS open beta OnePlus 7

Can anyone tell me when the Open betas for the OnePlus 7 will be available? I don't ask for an ETA. But in which month or Quarter can we expect it?
Looking bad for OnePlus 7.

Even the stable ROMs are not on official homepage :/

Give it some time. The OP7 has not been released that long.
Sure, I still think they holding the OP7 back, to push OP7Pro.
I think so too. But I hope, they will give the OnePlus 7 the same treatment as all the other OnePlus phones.
I am currently on OpenBeta 33 for the OnePlus 5. And I like it very much. So I really want to get OpenBeta on my coming OnePlus 7.

I've been patient but I will exchange phones

I have the Global Version of the Poco F2, the updates on this device have been terrible, I will be exchanging phones from the Poco to a Mi 10 Pro, this is only my opinion but it had great potential, no updates, the lack of security patches at least and some bugs I have encountered have made my experience worst.
I hope they give you your updates.
I hope my experience with the Mi 10 Pro will be good.
I had mi 10 pro before this f2. Good phone

Good for you. I bought the F2 Pro mainly because of the big battery and the pop-up front camera, which is great for paranoid people like me. That was nearly 2 months ago and my phone has been switched off since then due to lack of custom ROMs, because I'm not a fan of Chinese software. I agree that Xiaomi support for our devices is laughable though, but I have no valid alternative to switch to.

Yeah I get you, I almost of the times switch phones, but the lack of updates has made my mind on changing it. It is a good phone tho, I have a bug where if I do or receive a call and if I talk with the earpiece they don't hear me, I have to go into speaker and then again to earpiece to be able to talk normally. My signal hasn't been stable tho, I have a redmi note 8 pro which supports same bands and it doesn't have that problem, switching Rat mode doesn't seem to do any effect either. There are many things that need to be fixed but this are software problems.
Hardware wise I haven't had any problem.
The mi note 10 was good but just remembered 1 bug. The curved edge always made false presses. Done my head in!!
I can get a Mi10 for the same price as a F2 Pro and I took the F2 Pro, because few min. Mi10 make me sick, curved and **** hole.
Thinking also about swapping Poco for Find X2 Pro
What do you mean lack of updates? I have had three already! They have updated it to miui 12 and now they have got to update it to Android 11, be patient.
Just install Xiaomi.eu ROM and forget about oficial global ROM. Anyways only 2020 phone worth to get instead POCO F2 Pro is Oneplus 8 Pro and you need spend more money, Mi 10 Pro is garbage having the Oneplus 8 Pro and Oneplus 8 normal version is not worth compared to Poco F2 Pro. Another alternatives are new Oneplus Nord and you save money or 2019 top phones like Oneplus 7T or Realme X2 Pro.
And still every phone have annoying hole or notch, so Poco is the only one choice if you want a clean screen.
Definitely worth getting off global onto xiaomi.eu then? I've had the phone about 4 days and not sure how much work is required to make the switch.
I imagine it's just bootloader unlock, twrp install then clean flash. After that any regular updates should be easy?

I'm the same I've got a OnePlus 5T that's getting old and the battery life isn't great. Got this because of the battery life, pop up camera, headphone jack. The specs and features are awesome, but the lack of custom ROM support is terrible. I haven't actually began using the phone and was more trying to debloat it, but having issues finding how I can remove everything Google and Xiaomi related without crashing the phone.
I'm not in an urgent hurry to change over, but yeh if LineageOS or any other ROM was released it would be an awesome option. Even I'd be happy with a MIUI ROM that was fully debloated and without gapps, as it's proving tricky to work out what I can remove.
I had a Huawei Mate 8 previously and said I'd never again get a phone that has limited support. I almost went for the OnePlus 8 Pro, but has no headphone jack. Otherwise I almost would go for the OnePlus 7 Pro and just put up with no headphone jack as there's a lot of development for that, but it is old.

Thanks for that. I started the process of bootloader unlock, it took many tries of the exact same steps before it acknowledged a valid account and then started then 7 day timer, how anticlimactic lol.

I suggest you go for the stable version because the beta has some certification issues at the moment. Unless you need root and also like to fiddle around

Why would we get beta builds when we already have Android 11?
There is no beta yet.
Probably one in the pipeline...

Those are in official releases already. Betas are usually for updating an OS or in Samsung's case the UI. Stuff that takes massive recoding.
IMO this A11 ROM is an alpha build. OP should have released this phone with A10.

Our releases are already Beta lol... 8T is out there only 1 month, be patient, a lot of OTA will be available during the first year for add features/fixes/security your A11 rom
My 8T is running fine...however there appears to be a wide discrepancy between the various versions/builds that are out there in the wild! From my perspective Android 11 is a stable build on the 8T, and has continued to be so through 3 updates...but I can certainly understand how many, many people feel that what they currently have on their phones is a BETA, if not an Alpha build! So what is really going on here? How can my phone run great while so many others are riddled with bugs and we ALL supposedly have the same hardware (less the different RAM and Storage) and the SAME software, and yet have diametrically opposed experiences? What are we all missing here? The only thing I can point to is where these phones are actually being assembled. If my understanding is correct the one sold in India is actually manufactured, or assembled/built in India, and when you go to the OnePlus Community Forum you can read an ENDLESS stream of constant complaints from what I believe are mostly people from India! Is this the main problem here? Is the quality control lacking in India? Are the actual parts being used in India somehow sub-par in their quality? I'm not sure exactly what's going on here but if OnePLus intends to be able to continue selling phones in India, they better get their act together!

General Horray ! Our complaints were heard. Merged oos Bs is dead. Rip

Until then a flagship 9 series sits on a Nov security patch. Oxygen Os coming
They seriously think leaving everyone on November security update is going to be acceptable? They are really shooting themselves in the foot if they're going to force people to wait close to a year with no new update.
We will get some type of A12 Oxygen operating system and mainly 3-4 security patches before A13 comes.
This literally made my day.
