Dasaita PX6 Unit Bricked? - General Questions and Answers

I recently tried to update the MCU in my Dasaita PX6 head unit. After the update the unit is entirely unresponsive. I looked at the MCU file after I installed it and realized I installed the MCU from another company, not Dasaita. (I realize I should have cheeked this before but I did not and is why I'm in this situation now. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I tried to enter recovery mode, however, the reset button does not work. The screen remains black and the buttons do not light up like they did before the update when the reset button was pressed. Fuses are in good condition. My exact unit is linked here: https://www.amazon.com/Dasaita-Android-Corolla-2014-2017-Carplay/dp/B07XQJH6V6 .

MTCD Touch Screen Issue

So, have a bit of a situation and not sure what to do.
My touch screen is working, but only to a point. Only the top status bar and bottom about the same size does not respond at all across.
I've attached a picture as an example of which part of the screen highlighted in red does not respond at all to touch. Everything else not highlighted in red works fine.
Have used my mouse to access boot recovery mode, reinstalled hal 9k mod rom, wiped cache / data and it made no difference.
Even updated my MCU to the latest version available for HA unit, and attempted to re-calibrate the screen via extra settings.
Not sure if original factory rom will fix this, but would like some opinions.
maybe take it apart and check the screen connector is in correctly, sounds like a hardware not software problem.

Hi,
I have similar problem on my px5 seicane unit. the bottom part touch screen won't response or acting without touch after wake up from sleep. restart the unit would result the issue.
wondering if you have resolved the problem? If so is that hardware issue?
just realized the touch screen issue I have on my headunit is probably hardware issue.
in the past I have to re-start the unit, that actually fixed the problem, don't know why. but now I just push the touch screen with my palm firmly. that would fix the problem as well, and last much longer (3-5 days). haven't get chance during the weekday to open up the unit. but at least it worked. and probably proofed this is hardware issue.
I have a Joying unit with a PX5 board. I also have the same issue as the original poster.
I would also say this is a hardware issue. Mine was fine with both the original PX3 and PX5 for a while. Now it is increasingly getting worse. Resets do nothing to solve the problem.
I live in a hot environment. Maybe that is a contributing factor?

remaping

hello everyone
i am hoping that you guys will be able to help me out. i have an xtrons head unit 10.1 inch double din running 5.1 firmware. i reached out to the people that sold it to me about updating to a newer firmware and they told me i can only update the software. they sent me a file that would update my software with instructions. i updated my unit now the back light that lights up the touch buttons does not work neither does the power, volume up, down or home the back button does work but instead of going back it raises the volume. i can not turn the head unit off only when the car ignition gets turned off. i tried to use a remapping app but it doesn't seem to find the buttons that i want to remap. the sellers are not offering any help because it is 3 months past the warranty. xtrons told me the radio is discontinued and are also not offering any help this is what was on the file they sent HH 通用机安卓5.1(20170307)_rk3188_5.1.rar
p.s i also attached a photo of the info that the radio has i am not sure if when i updated it if it changes the info. thanks for any help that you guys can provide
Have you tried going into the factory settings and entering the touch calibration menu?
If you go to settings, factory settings (password is "126" without the quotes) and go to the touch panel calibration there's one to calibrate the touch screen and another one that says "touch panel" or front panel.
Play around with that menu and that should solve your problem.
thanks for helping me as fast as you did. it did work i also found a video on YouTube that might help other with this same problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I27cjq0SUTk

Question Teyes spro plus steering button issues

Hi guys I have had a teyes spro plus for a couple of months on a vauxhall insignia. I have never been able to get the steering controls to work, when I click on the steering buttons the car comes up with volume icon on the dash clocks and says no audio and when I try to change the canbus to insignia everytime its like it isn't saving the setting and keeps going back to like I haven't set it up. If I reboot the unit and goto steering buttons it flashes up for a second to press a button on the wheel to configure then nothing... everything else works on screen like door opening, climate control, reverse camera ect just not the steering controls..im pretty sure the 4 pin usb hasn't any power either im yet to confirm this with a multimeter. I have updated the unit to the latest firmware but still the same.
Any ideas? Or anything i can try? Thanks
What did reseller and/or installer suggest.
Any info in the teyes discussion post?
I bought it directly from teyes and installed it myself. Ive went through all the connections all seem ok. I've contacted teyes who said it was an issue with the firmware why it wasn't saving wait for the new one which I did but its exactly the same.
Is there a teyes discussion post sorry I've missed it have you a link bud thanks
Don't know if this is related, but the supplied Teyes wiring harness had an unplugged small white connector, I plugged the connectors together and could not get the steering wheel to learn. Unplugged the connector and was able to program the steering wheel buttons.

Hi mate i had same issue, and i manage to fix it.
But we dont have same car, is that spro with newer update from cc2 or?
anyway how to fix it:
You need to install older original Steering control.apk, I manage to extract from older firmware and installed it in newer one. And it works like charm with older program.

Hi guys
My spro plus stopped working since 1 week and I’m unable to find the issue I checked everything changed the 15A also but didn’t resolved the issue. It just shows the black screen when the engine starts and the button lights just turn on and off after few seconds.
I contacted the technical teyes team they said your device is broken.

Wondefoo HCT-PX5-REV12 periodically won't turn on

Hi,
First of all, please excuse me if I have post on the wrong forum. I really searched a lot for a similar question but haven't found it. My unit's MCU versoin is MTCE_CZ_V3.10_2, so I don't know if it's really a "MTCE" head unit, but I don't see a MTCE specific sub-forum (by the way, what does the MTCD, MTCB and so on nomenclature mean?). I got this unit from AliExpress about a year and a half ago, it's a 4 GB, octa-core [email protected] version, with 64 GB internal memory and DVD, for Vauxhall/Opel Corsa, and this is the current (updated) product page for it:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32789005299.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dbyAN90
It currently displays a PX6 version; mine is the PX5 one.
Well, the problem with the unit happend a few weeks after I installed it on my car. Suddenly, one time, when I started my car's engine, I noticed the unit wouldn't turn on. No matter how times I attempted to reset it, it wouldn't do anything (although when doing so, through the small pin hole, colorful led light would cycle through the cover.
I contacted Wondefoo and they sent-me a an HTC-PX5--REV12(LPDDR-221), 20190515, board replacement, exactly like the original one. After replacing it, the unit started working again.
In january 2020 this happened again. Tried exchanging it again with the original MCU; nothing worked.
Nearly two months later I attempted the same procedura and this time it worked - the unit started working again.
My bet is that something is causing this unit to get stuck, and after enough time passes and the capacitors get emptied and the DRAM erases, it's able to "recover" somehow.
Maybe 6 months ago, this happened again. Out of frustration, in the middle of a drive, once I started pushing all the buttons randomly. Finally, I don't know by which combination, the unit turned on, displaying a recover menu. I don't know how, simple choosed to restart and it became working again.
Some weeks later, after getting unresponsive again and trying the "random button push" procedure, the menu showed up again. This time I attempted a factory reset and got the unit working for severl weeks.
Finally, my unit died for the last time about two months ago and I haven't been able to recover it by the "pushing buttons" method, neither by disconnecting it from the power source and reconnecting days later. I came back to the original radio player, which is a hassle as the CD player is also broken.
I'd like to try echanging the MCU with the spare one; I'm almost sure that it will work again, but before doing so I'd like to assure that I won't find myself in this situation again, as it's a waste of time. Maybe the problem is known and you can recommend me a software version / update that would prevent this from happen again. Maybe there is some sort of hardware mod that can be attempted by replacing some component. Maybe you know how to "hard reset" it from some motherboard pins, maybe where I could mount a switch to do so when the unit becomes dead, or maybe you can tell me the proper key combination for the recovery menu.
I've also found some firmware pages, namely https://yadi.sk/d/umCvHqCDzHccr, with a long list for several models. It looks more or less clear where to get the MCU firmware, but for the Android image it's a bit more complicated. If I enter the RockChip PX5 Android 9 folder, then HTC subfolder, there are several HTC4_XXXXXXXXXXX, HTC5_XXXXXXXXXXX and HTC_XXXXXXXXXXX options, and the same for RockChip PX5 Android 10 (assuming that there were an Android 10 update for my hardware; it came with Android 9 if I'm not wrong), so I don't know which one to attempt.
PS: the "reset" little hole never has really worked for me in this situation. It just will cycle to RGB leds if I push it with a paperclick and, while pushing, press the "on" button, and they will shut off when I release the button, but that's all.
Noone encountered a similar problem?

How to reset the touch buttons instructional
This thread is not asking how to reset the touch buttons down the side of the panel screen. First go to Settings... Car.. Factory settings.. password 126 Then touch Key study category at the top Next Touch Key Study First the system will want...

@RokkoHB please post a screenshot of the About system page showing Android version and MCU version. We have no idea what version you updated to.
You may need to directly contact Dasaita for a firmware update to get your head unit back to the way it was before you updated. It is a good idea to have a copy of the firmware version you had before updating and a copy of the update you want to update to. Otherwise it's hit or miss getting things back the way they were.
Also be sure the firmware updates you are applying are known to fix a specific issue you are currently having. Upgrading just to get a higher version number can unintentionally break a lot of stuff.

That is the problem that my tutorial post attempts to solve.
Did you try going thru the tutorial steps? The tutorial will help you reconfigure those touch buttons. I believe if the rest of the touch screen works, then those touch buttons will work if you go thru and re-establish the button configurations using the tutorial. Be sure to touch on the red numbers that appear on screen as this step actually establishes the touch screen x,y calibration.
