XDaIIi - Battery charging issue

All
I have an XDa2i, after removing the battery pack earlier this week the unit now wont activate or take a charge from any source. Every time I unlock the battery whilst on charge the red charge light comes on but when the battery lock is applied the charging discontinues. Several battery changes have been tried but the unit will not charge or activate.
Any thoughts or advice on this issue most welcome as always.
Thanks
Pete
If you have got the Cradle then charge your battery itself by the mains adapter not by USB power, once the baterry charging light becomes Green, then put the battery in the XDA, lock the red button and leave it for approx 1-2 hours (or may be overnight), but do not try to switch-on the XDA, The reason behind not to switch-on the device is that the device's internal battery would be completely flattened and that would re-charge automatically once you put a main full battery to the device.
Try to switch-on the device after 2 hours by holding the power button for few seconds, and hopefully XDA should back on.
As far as I have understand the situation and if its right then you might have already lost all the setting & data stored on the device, sorry for that.
GoodLuck & let me know.
Sidd
Absolutely no joy! the device was on charge overnight and the light stayed red. There was no response from the unit at all. Any other thoughts, or does this sound like complete system failure?
Any other advice would be welcome.
Come-oooon Peter I have said to charge the battery ALONE on the charger (not to put it in the device and charge), try to fully charge the battery (Just battery) on the cradle's back slot and then try the same.
GoodLuck & let me know

What is the expected behaviour for charging a unit with a deep discharged battery?
Immediately after plugging in a charger the white notification LED will turn on. This LED will turn off, when the battery is charged to a sufficient level to power the display (could take up to 10 minutes before the display turns on). Tapping on the power key will wake up the display and the phone will display the "lightning bolt" icon over the battery meter. The display will time out, but charging will continue. Phone should remained plugged in (at idle) for up to 5 hours for a full charge. It will take longer, if phone is in use.
Thanks. can boot on already.. :good::good:

if nothing else works just plug the phone to a charger and hold the power button for at least 2-3minutes. the white led should blink a few times. after that leave it charging for an hour and than turn it on by pressing the power button.
this was the only thing that worked for me.
Fixed
Faced the same problem, the phone had ran out of charge completely and and switched off. Plugged it in to the wall charger but that wasnt of any help. Connected to my laptop and same result!! Wont Charge! Held the power button for about 2-3 minutes and the LED flickered 2-3 times and the 0% Battery screen showed up. Showing the same screen at the moment. Hopefully its charging.

Thank you for this advice - I followed it and it worked. I had my Moto G plugged in for hours prior to trying this with no success.
When you press the power button, 18 seconds probably won't be long enough so keep holding the power button. I had to hold the button for around 3 to 4 minutes but it worked eventually.
It Works!! Thanks!!!

Oh!!! I almost got a heart attack I guess . Because, Moto-G was the only smart phone that never gave me any trouble. Even my Samsung Galaxy 3 LTE gave a lot of headaches . When this acted dead, I was really upset. Your solution worked fine I guess. Screen just appeared. Still on 0%, but apparently it is charging now.
Thanks Karan. Your solution is the best. Costs nothing
I had the same problem, but at least for me the above trick didn´t work. The phone simple dind´t boot, or display any notification light.
I left the phone over night at the charcher and nothing... Tried multiple chargers, computer ports, laptop ports, etc etc, and still nothing...
Then I went and read online a little bit more about lithium ion batteries and found out that the trick is to let the phone of the charger for a couple of hours (for me was about 5 hours) and then the phone will reconized the phone.
Hope this helps someone in the same situation. (If the press and hold trick dind't work).
Worked !
I bought moto g yesterday ,I faced the same problem which scared the hell out of me! But after power key for longer time ,now the 0%
battery is displayed ! Damn relief ! Hope it's charging now !:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Moto G dead after deep discharge
Hi, my first generation moto g is dead. Continuous notification lights get on when I plug the charger. Please note that notification light is neither blinking nor getting off. Tried everything which is mentioned here but no luck so far.
Please help.

I had same problem - when the charger was plugged in the notification light shone continuously. I fixed this by opening the set, removing the battery (there are nice videos explaining this in youtube) and recharging it using external charger in a repair shop. Once it was charged for about an hour, plugged it back in, was able to boot normally and charge it normally.
However, since this incident, I have found that the battery life has decreased drastically. I now only have 8 hours of battery life after full recharge, even when I put the phone to sleep. For instance, if I charge the phone to 100% before going to sleep, the battery is down to 30% when I wake up!
Has anybody had this problem?
My Moto G2, when plugged in powersocket, keeps on rebooting from Moto logo screen, but when plugged in USB port of computer can get to fastboot menu and shows battery charging but removing it shows zero. and it does turn on by factory mode and shows the lighting bolt of charging, but is not getting charged. also phone testing menu by *#*#4636#*#* shows battery health is good, but is not charging. can any one help.

Sony Xperia Z5 Not Charging

So I bought my z5 in November, everything has been working fine, up until recently.... first I noticed after I charged it the battery was draining rapidly. like a % every few minutes, charged it from 100% and it died on me in less than 6 hours. Now I charged it again and the battery drain issue is still present. Now it won't even charge I pluged it into the phone it vibrates the charge light goes on but then it goes off and refuses to charge... Turned the phone off tired to charge it nothing, turned it on tried to charge it nothing, plugged it into my computer it vibrates, then nothing, it won't even show up on the computer:crying:
Seems a bad usb cable?
nope tried multiple cables it refuses to charge
ok unplugged it and re plugged it, now it is charging, but I can't go 5hrs without it needed to be charged from 100% last thing I remember doing was updating apps, but still that should not affect the battery and usb cable connection still won't show up on my pc, it's taking forever to charge and it's on quick charge
Factory reset
same problem even after the factory reset

I tried other cables and it refuses to recognize on the PC, also the battery cannot last overnight it drains from 100% to 0% in less then 6 hours, might as well RMA this crap or wait till marshmallow see if any thing changes, if MM doesn't drop by next monday I'm a RMA this sony crap
Charging the Z5 with a PC will charge slowly even with quick charge set on on pc..
But here's the interesting part that I have noticed. When you plug the device in to the usb on the pc and set the phone to charge only mode.. It charges damn slow. And I mean slow. But. If you plug the device in to the pc and set the device to MTP mode and just leave it to charge. The device actually charges a bit quicker.. I find it weird. But since usb output is 2Amps 5Volts, I use a 2.1Amp usb charging DC adapter and a thick usb cable and my device charges fast as he'll. 1% to 100% in 45 minutes to an hour.. But once a week I give my device a full charge (charge completely while device is switched off -usually when Im going to go to sleep I leave it over night).. Charging a phone when it's on only gives it a quick charge, hence why when you turn off the device even when battery shows 100% while it is on. The device only roughly shows around 70% - 80% charged, depending on device maybe even 90-95%.. So u can fast charge it, then turn it off and charge the remaining amount of battery while it's off.. Don't charge past 70% while you're using the phone. Or it Will get hot which can decrease battery life..
Hopefully this information was useful to some of you..
Have a great day guys

Not charging any more
My Z5 does not charge any more. I tried different chargers and cables, that worked until yesterday, but now it´s not charging.
When I plug in the cable in the empty phone, the red LED on top goes on for a short time, the Sony logo appears, than the big battery symbol. But then it won´t charge. Any ideas?
I think i can remember getting yesterday an update from Sony. But I don´t what it was. I had just the Symbol for System/What´s new update in the icon bar on top.

I downloaded the Sony Companion Software reflashed the firmware with that (connection and update worked) but charging is still not possible.
Doesn't make sense.. That sounds so odd. It probably is charging, but just not showing it??
Quite bizarre lol. Have you let the phone die completely, then recharge it and start it back up, after around 10% charge??
Another alternative, use a third party app to calibrate the battery (if youre able to boot in to the os that is).
Removing the battery is another method (requires opening the device)
Last method I can think of but im not sure if it will do anything is to hold down the power & vol + & vol - keys altogether until device vibrates 3 times (while plugged in to a charger) keep holding all 3 keys until the phone vibrates (power cycles) 2 more times (3 vibrates followed by another 3 fast vibrates)..
So like.. While holding all keys, phone will vibrate once.. Then it will vibrate 3 times(rapidly).. Keep holding all keys.. It'll vibrate another 3 times (rapidly).continue holding all keys for 1 more cycle of 3 rapid vibrates, then only let go of the vol down key, but keep holding vol up and power key for another 10 seconds (or until you feel 2 more power cycles of 3 rapid vibrations (6 in total). Then leave device off. Observe the charging icon see if it charges..
Good luck

A little Help for you guys
I have had same problem exactly, phone seemed dead after getting same charging problems, do hard reset (lock button + Vol up button) for about 20 secs i think, i got a blue light now, nothing else but better than nothing. will update if i get any progress.
---------- Post added at 08:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:12 PM ----------
pressed the manual off button next to sim card with skewer, now i get a rotation of the sony screen, needs charge screen with battery and lightning and sometimes get a red light in the top right.
For anyone experiencing these issues, please clean the usb port with a needle. I was having the same problems and noticed there was a lot of dust and fibers in there from my pockets. The micro-usb also stays in a lot better!
I held down my power button, volume buttons and let it vibrate three times. It worked! Apparently it had been charging just something was off with it.
This may help others,
My neighbor's sony turned off on 1%, and does not want to charge, it gets warm, and when I plug the charger, the led turns red, then green and then it turns off with no signs of charging.
I tried the Power+ Vol Up trick but it did not work,
what worked for me is the following:
plug the charge cable, and as soon as the led turns red, plug and unplug the cable rapidly untill the screen turns on, then keep it plugged, this should trigger the phone to continue charging.
PS, try to avoid letting the battery reach 1%, sometimes the battery depletes without the backup needed to trigger the charging state, and on some phones like the htc sometimes causes the onboard storage to break, which will cost you a new motherboard!

Shuts down at ny percentage (( highest 51%))

As i said. It powers down nd shows 0% battery if i try to turn it on at that time.
and just when i plug in the charger it starts charging from where it turned off or below.
Been using 3rd party charger. Wasnt able to get yuphoria charger at the servic centres in my city.
if its a charger problem..
suggest a supportable charger ??
There i wrote it all.. Help me..
Try another charger of 1500mAmp or 1.5Amp
And next time when your phone shutdown randomly just unplug battery for 10 seconds and start then phone, you phone will start at where it turned off then again at shutdown do this process until you reach to 5% or below.
Now wait for automatic shutdown and this time don't turn on your phone until you charge it to 100% in power off mode.
Hope this help you.
And if your phone is rooted then plz tell me I have better methods

So your phone is rooted then download "Root essentials" app and calibrate your battery.
You can also try other battery calibrators
sorry for the late reply.. was a bit busy..
so i callibrated the battery and bought a new charger of op - 2.1 A. Charger tester app shows sufficient electric current for this charger so i think there is no problem with the charger. Now Before battery callibration. Shut down occured at 15% then it moved upto 40%. After Callibration and charging with new charger it shut down at 28% twice.. (( i hope its improving ))

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier dead

Hi all.
I've had my gear for about 2 years now.
One day, about a month ago I forgot to put it in the charger and the battery drained totally. After this small incident I can't get the watch to start anymore.
I'ts completely dead, does not respond when I try pressing/holding buttons, charging it or whatever. The charger starts blinking red after a short while.
I also tried to solder a USB cable to the connections on the motherboard but no reaction with that either..
I've tried to replace the battery the other day and success, it started!! But, only for an hour or so, now it's dead again, exactly like before.
The battery that sits in the watch right now is almost fully charged and measures 3.7 volts directly on the contact surfaces.
Anyone got an idea what to try next?
Note that it's completely dead and does NOT respond to any pressing of the buttons or charging it in any way.
Regards
Emil
If correct soldered wires...
Then charging via USB possible...
Try maybe for 30 minutes to charge via USB...
Check if device will be hot
Maybe Hardware damage...
You could check Service Manuals... Schematics:

Lithium battery fully charged are at "4.20V". "3.7V" is the nominal voltage (mean stay at 3.7V 80% of the time during discharge time).
Samsung Gear S3 Battery Issue Fix
Samsung S3 Frontier Learning Mode found for charging issue SM-R760. The solution (keep in the charger while doing resets) is to reset the watch 8 to 10 times and keep holding the power button and shutting it off about another 10 times. This is unusual however my battery went from 1%, 4%, 16% and the flashing red light stopped and went to 100% charge in 2 1/2 hrs. I will keep the forum informed any changes if this reoccurs. I definitely think the latest update blew-up the cache in watch and somehow takes multiple resets and power button presses to reset the functionality of Samsungs mistakes.
