Storage Device Missing - General Questions and Answers

Hi everyone,
I hope this is the right place to post this question. I'm not sure where else to ask and I haven't found a solution online.
I bought 2 Fire 10 tablets the 2021 model, as well as 2 Silicon Power 128GB Micro SD cards (https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-Superior-MicroSD-Adapter/dp/B091B2MX9S/).
The problem I'm having is that (almost) every time I turn on my tablet, I get the error in the screenshot: SD Card Alert/Storage device missing Insert device again.
This happens on both tablets. The thing is, once I get past the lock screen, the message goes away, and I can access all the data stored on it. I've got my card formatted as android storage, so I could moves app's 2 SD.
One thing to note, for the Apps stored on the SD, I have noticed that once I get past the lock screen, for just a few seconds the apps are grayed out. Then they light up like normal and are usable again. It's like every time the tablet goes to sleep, it disconnects the SD card, then reassociates it after it comes out of sleep.
Anyone seen this or have any ideas on how to fix it? I really don't think it's the micro sd cards as I've bought several of those exact cards in the past and this is happening on 2 different tablets with 2 cards.

Corrupted MicroSD Card - Apps2SD

I have this problem that keeps repeating itself.
I have been using the latest BiffMod Rom for a few weeks, all has been fine until I moved some apps to the MicroSD card via the inbuilt application manager.
The phone works fine for a while and then one day, nothing. the phone doesnt want to boot or anything. After some investigating it turns out its the MicroSD card that is corrupt.
If remove it from the phone, the phone operates as expected, If I insert it, I either get freezing, or the safely remove SD card message. The card wont mount.
I have tried the card in a Windows PC and it will read the Fat32 but freezes after a while.
Now this is not the first time this has happened and the pattern is emerging that it seems to be when ever I move apps to the SD.
Has anyone else had similar problems, I have gone through 3 of the same card in about as many months, luckily I have a bunch of cards from work. But its super annoying.
completely The card ends up been completly useless.

Well, for one, Biffmod moves apps2sd automatically, using scripts and when you do it manually, you are messing with the mod. So, thats where you messed up.
Secondly, I too messed up a 16GB Class10 SD card but, was able to fix it by reformatting it in ubuntu then again in Amon_RA recovery menu. I originally had it formatted 1024MB ext4/96MB swap...when I re-parted it, I had to change the sizes for it to work. Now, its 512MB ext4/32MB swap.
Third, a guy (MrBurrito) gave me this script file he made to try and fix the card. You copy it to your sd card, flash it in recovery, wait 10-20 seconds after it finishes and, then reboot. It didn't work for me but, I'll attach it, maybe it can work for you.

[Q] SD card media scanning issues

I've had this Samsung Captivate since December and just noticed this issue with my SD card. It's a 16gb card that's been in it since I purchased the phone. Recently I looked at my gallery and found that one folder that used to have ~400 pic now has over 4000 pics. Most of these are duplicates. When I connect to the PC and view the folders there are the original 400 or so. No duplicates.
Today I unmounted the card, removed it and remounted it again. Now, in the notification screen it shows "Media scanning... 0 %" for an exceptionally long time trying to scan the media on it. For about 20 minutes. This happened earlier today but eventually came up after I shut the phone off. This time I powered it down and it did the same thing. Just sat there scanning. Then it came up with a red SD card icon stating that the card was full. I am now in the process of transferring everything I can onto my laptop. I guess it wouldn't hurt to reformat the card after that and see if it continues to happen.
After reformatting it, it still did the same thing. Luckily I had an extra 16gb card available. I installed it and transferred all the needed files. It works fine, for now. Don't know why this happened, except possibly that the SD card wore out (?).
Anyone else have a similar situation with either the captivate or SD cards in general?

[Q] samsung vibrant freezes up after boot if sd card is inserted

my samsung vibrant is rooted, i used the superone click root, with android 2.2 and it's been freezing up alot when i insert an sd card. Everything worked smoothly for about 8 months, but recently i have been having bad experiences with samsung. i have two external 2gb sd cards and when i inserted the first one, one day, it would finish scanning it and then vibrate once, then three times, the turn black. not off, but black. The button lights would remain on but the phone would become nonresponsive and the phone would remain black for about 5 minutes. Then it would start up like new and begin to scan media. it would stop halfway to freeze up again and the process would repeat. After about 3 more freezes, the phone stopped scanning the external sd card and immediately say blank external sd card on the notifications. it would show a card with a swipe over it. So i inserted it to an adapter and to my computer so save my data but no. The computer wouldn't detect it. I was shocked, all my data lost. I assumed it was just the card so i bought a new one. i instered it to my phone today, after almost filling it up from my computer, and the phone read it easily. after about 5 minutes of finishing reading it the phone stop responding to my touch. Vibrate once, then twice, the the black screen. I immediately removed my sd card. I might be mistakened, but i assume that my phone kills sd cards. my computer can still read it, luckily, but my phone will stop reading it halfway and freeze up just to kill it completely. However without any external sd card inserted, my phone will start as good as new. Any idea why this is happening or how to solve it. I'll try unrooting it only if the android 2.3 update takes longer than by dec. 1 to arrive for my phone. i have my reasons.

[Q] MicroSD stopped working

Let me preface this by saying that I recently went a few weeks without using my tablet at all- it hasn't moved from my desk. Everything worked fine before, but I came back to it yesterday and I discovered that the system could no longer read the card. It is a 32 GB Polaroid Class 10 SDHC. When I insert the card, it was showing up in the the notification area, but reporting 0.00B of space, and if I pressed 'unmount' it did nothing, and when I use a file browser, the card doesn't show up at all. This has since progressed to the point where when I insert the card, the 'External storage inserted' notification pops up for half a second, then disappears, and the card doesn't show up at all. I don't have an SD adapter, so I have to wait until tomorrow to test the card in a buddy's phone and see if it can be read at all. Has anyone else had this problem, or know what the cause is?

2 SD Cards in Deep Freeze (?), Unchangable Nothing I do changes it, Please Help

Hi guys I have a relatively new z3 the problem is I broke it really bad and most of the damage is in the sd card side, now this might have nothing relevant but info is info right.
So my Z3 makes my SD cards frozen in time, basically whatever change I do gets reverted. I tried formatting, nope. Just reverted. Whenever I delete something it comes back but the file changes to new, like when I delete old pictures they show up at the top of the latest pictures.
This has happened with 2 different 64 gig sd cards so I'm scared to try another expensive one but I've been using a 16 gig card and so far (1 month) so good which scares me actually.
This is like the internet cafes with deep freeze installed you know? Whatever you do once you restart it restores the image. They're just frozen, I can download things and add things but can't delete things or "write" things. Also I couldn't hook it up on my PC with the bad sd cards but the moment I took them off voila. The pc could see the phone without lagging.
What can I do? Does anyone know even what this is? Z3 did this, not the sd cards as it happened with 2 seperate cards. Both happened the same way, I was adding files via PC then lag came, non responsiveness then they got "frozen". I also can't use 'em with SD card adapters.
This seems to be the same problem but with the different phone, it acts as deleted but comes back. Like readable but not writable.
