huawei p30 lite says "your device has loaded different operating system" - General Questions and Answers

Hello Everyone!
I have my huawei p30 lite and got tuck on huawei logo and didn't continue to boot and I suspect that it is a system error so I had flash with firmware. The firmware that I had download and flash is not the firmware for my huawei p30 lite 3gb 128 gb. After I have flash I feel excited that my phone will use again. After flashing firmware the screen says your device has loaded different operating system, I have tried Update and recover system but not work, I also tried update mode but not work also.
Is there anybody can help me or give a tutorial link for me thank you! Your Help is needed.

Hmm, can you get into the bootloader?
What can you see?
Can you send a picture or smth?

@leopanz87
If you have a Custom Recovery like TWRP installed, then
1. from recovery select wipe -> advanced and select cache, data, internal storage, system
2. swipe to wipe everything
Now after wiping, your phone has no Android OS.
3. go to install zip and select the ROM file which you have downloaded and swipe to flash

You can flash the stock images via fastboot, that will erase everthing and get you back to stock. You can then install a custom recovery and flash roms again.

There is a command to wipe user data, see the below guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Reason!
Thanks for your expert replies.
The reason for asking was and is for you to know in depth what happened.
My OPOs BL is unlocked and rooted.......at times try other ROMs like Hydrogen, RR, etc.
I was surprised to see and empty Baidu folder size 80 bytes shown by ES File manger, after I flashed back COS 12.
The way I flash is firstly reboot to TWRP, Format > type yes, than Factory reset, than Advanced Wipe ALL except OTG, power off the OPO.
Power on in fastboot mode, connect to pc and flash COS ROM using those commands.
All is good, except the empty Baidu Folder, fail to understand how did it persist.
Other thing is when I later flash TWRP over stock, and than when I perform a factory reset before flashing another ROM, see red SD card errors? ........have to keep rebooting to TWRP.
The way I flash is TWRP > Format type yes > Factory reset > Wipe all except OTG > Mount OTG-USB containing the zip, install zip swipe flash > once done > Reboot. (before reboot don't clear dalvik and cache).
If I take screen capture of TWRP they wont be saved in Gallery.
TWRP 2.7.8.0 when flashed on start up showed this.........
"TWRP has detected an unmodified partition. TWRP can leave your partition unmodified to make it easier for you to take official updates. TWRP will be unable to prevent the stock ROM from replacing from replacing TWRP and will not offer to root your device. installing zips or performing adb operations may still modify the system partition.
Never show this screen during boot again."
To sum up my queries are:
1. How can I perform a deep clean of OPO, and than flash COS 12 using fastboot, so I don't see any Baidu etc empty folders.
2. Than flash TWRP and and if needed can take it's screen captures.
3. Later if required can flash new custom ROM with out issues.
Bottom line to clean my OPOs Storage that includes SD card.
Btw my OPO isn't giving any issues or bugs and working great, no EFS issues etc.........
After reading all care to edit/correct what am I doing incorrect?
Thanks again.

I have seen people querying the Baidu folder before (i have it myself), it seems to be a folder left by ES file explorer, have you ever installed that? It doesnt seem to be anything malicious, although a lot people were spooked, thinking it was spyware of some sort.

Below is the command for flashing the userdata file via fastboot. If you have downloaded the fastboot image files, I think it basically pushes a blank file to overwrite/format the user data space/parition.
Code:
fastboot flash userdata userdata_64G.img

Find the carrier specific forum for your G2. Go into the development forums and find a ROM. Download the ROM to your PC and boot your G2 to TWRP. Connect your G2 to your PC and drag and drop the ROM into your internal storage. Then, from TWRP, select advanced wipe. Wipe everything BUT internal storage. Then from TWRP, select install. Find the ROM you downloaded and flash. Then if the ROM requires a gapps package, repeat the transfer steps above, and flash that too. Reboot to system.

Ive tried that 4 times till now. It has been in a bootloop thrice. And I flashed stock. I currently am using stock firmware but want to flash the custom rom. The recovery is failing to wipe data because it is failing to mount data.

Try this
1. Reboot to recovery (TWRP)
2. Select wipe.
3. Select advanced wipe.
4. Check system.
5. Repair or change file system.
6. Select change file system.
7. Select format type.
8. Swipe to change.
9. Select repair.
there is one problem with stock rom. its encrypts the data partition right after installing stock rom, therefore twrp can't access data partition. i had similar problem earlier. this is how i managed to fix.
solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67980158&postcount=7
i suggest you to stick with stock rom, because right now whatever roms or recoveries are made for this phone are blindly ported (just copy paste roms). i have tried about 3-4 roms for this phone, all had major bugs especially battery related. there is only one developer who made a stable rom so far is beingtejas, search his thread. if you really want to use a custom rom, try THIS rom made by gaurav kesarwani with help of beingtejas that is why i am suggesting it you otherwise it didn't worked for me atleast.

Cant upgrade because of faulty TWRP, need help removing TWRP

Hi,
I accidently flashed TWRP, but i was already on emui9 so twrp doesent work there.
Now i can update the EMUI anymore because when the phone restarts during the install process it goes into recovery (twrp) which causes the update to fail
My question is: Can i remove twrp, maybe by flashing the orignal ramdisk image? pls help
You would have to reflash the recovery partition... Which we don't have, and since TWRP is kind of broken on EMUI 9.... well...
Can you just wipe caches and reboot to get the phone working? The update is stored in the cache partition, if you wipe cache it should boot normally.

Not if you are on EMUI 9... I don't believe so as we don't have the factory image for it, and to my knowledge we can't just dd it or make a backup of it right now. Although you might be able try the downgrade to 8.1 in another thread here, then upgrade via OTA again, but that's your choice.
I haven't installed TWRP on this devices, but basically go to the wipes menu, advanced wipes, and tick anything that says cache in it's name (often Dalvik cache and cache) and swipe to wipe them. This will not harm any of your data or applications, only the cache space. Then reboot.

Just flash your stock RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img*from your firmware. This will repair your recovery.
To extract images from*UPDATE.APP*in the zip, you have to use*Huawei Update Extractor.

My 10 Ultra is stuck in TWRP after flashing EU ROM

Hello everyone,
As stated, I began by waiting the 7 days to get the bootloader unlocked, then proceeded to copy this EU rom to internal storage, after following this video, my phone reboots after installing the room and goes straight into TWRP. When I click on reboot on TWRP, regardless if I choose System, Recovery or Bootloader, the phone keeps coming back to twrp. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me.

Seems some system files got wiped. Open twrp and format data (don't wipe), after this restart to recovery and transfer the rom into your phone and flash, then reboot that's it. If this still occurs boot loop or returns to twrp, then download full firmware and flash it through mi flash, make sure to only select clean flash not to lock, and then wait until it boots to the welcome screen. After that flash twrp, format data (don't wipe), restart to recovery and transfer the rom into your phone, and flash and then reboot.
Hope this will fix your problem, please let me know

Thanks for your reply.
I was able to get it fixed by changing the filesystem on the data & internal partitions to f2fs. Did a reboot and phone went into MIUI after that. I regret flashing the EU rom but that's another topic.
