Hello,
I have had my Note 10+ for almost 2 years and thinking of an upgrade. I am a Note fan. But since the introduction of the S pen to the S 21 Ultra, I got a little bit lost between the Note 20 Ultra and the S 21 Ultra. I hope someone helps me with my decision since you owned the Note 20 U for a while and you are familiar with its negatives and positives.
P.s. I live in Europe. So I am limited to the Exynos variants only
Avoid the Note 20 Ultra Exynos version at all cost. It heats up easily and battery life is very poor on 120Hz. Get the S21 Ultra as it has a better Exynos chipset and newer display tech plus better fingerprint sensor.
Yes, the N20U Exynos is a disaster. The Snapdragon is very very good if you can get one.

I got the Hong Kong N9860 from Wonda Mobile and no hassle. Price includes shipping, duty etc. and it arrived in a week. It's also a good price for brand new.

how's the battery life on your note? SOT?
It uses around 30% a day. SOT is probably 6 to 7 hours but I've never ever got close to emptying it.

this 6 or 7 SOT are with the 120 Hz right?
No, I use 60hz. Can't even notice a difference.
My N20U does get a little warm but so does my N10+, battery life is very different, N10+ gets 11h SoT, N20U about 6h.

My wife is very likely to switch her S3 for a new S5 next month. We are dead impressed with their 8500mah battery on my Note 3 so far, so she would also like to give it a shot on her S5. Anyone here knows whether/when will they push out extended batteries for SV? Thank you.

Ok, I asked them directly yesterday and they said it is going to pop up within one or two weeks of release of S5.
MPJ going to have 4300 mAh/8600 mAh extended battery. The 4300 mAh without NFC will ship on 15 April, with NFC on 20 April and 8600 mAh probably on 25 April.

With NFC normally costs around $3 more than non-NFC
How does that battery fit in with the normal cover? It says so on the order page... I'm guessing its fake?

Thanks for the information. We already pre-ordered 4300mAh as replacement. Got the SM-G900V and the battery life is quite good on it so far, but still we will have to plug it in before bedtime, and that was playing games, surfing the web, downloading apps, texting, etc.
Any review out there yet?

Not yet, but mine is able to get little bit more out of it so far.
The 8200mAh extended battery is available now:highfive:
Looking at picking up the 64gb Wifi version on Amazon for just a hair over $700. I'd really like to have the LTE version to use with my AT&T account, but it looks like I'd have to sacrifice the ability to flash custom ROMs to do so. A quick Google search says that the Lollipop update is due by the end of next month for the Wifi version. I can get a used or open box version much cheaper, but I worry about some of the problems I've seen posted about and also possibly a year's worth of wear on the non-replaceable battery.
So what do you guys think? Having owned this tablet for about a year (some of you, I presume) would you pay $700 knowing what you know now?
P.S. Does an installed micro SD card stick out the side of the tablet or can it be installed and the cover closed for permanent use?
I've got the LTE version, in my opinion very much worth the 700 dollars. (I paid $966 for it). It has the exact same hardware as the Note 3 N9005, which is almost as expensive with a much smaller screen.
Battery lasts about 5 weeks in standby, almost 18 hours when watching films (Which is a dream on this thing. 12.2" 2K ). Readability in sunlight is good. I haven't encountered any problems so far.
I'm not so sure about the WiFi edition, as it has a weaker Exynos and Mali, (Same as the N900 Note 3) no fast charging (relevant with 9500mAh, as even with Qualcomm fastcharge it takes about 6 hours) and several people report issues with bluescreens. If you're interested in gaming, a lot of games aren't compatible with the Mali GPU. Then again, it does have customROMS, a few. Though this thing is very fast without them.
As for the MicroSD, it's covered by a lid, doesn't stick out at all.

Yep. It does. Pretty much straight and forward, right? The device by itself is excellent. Great hardware specs (as said previously, like N9005) and the 12.2" is kind of AWESOME for pretty much everything.. from games to navigate in the web.. I paid $600, brand new, but for sure I would pay a hundred bucks more for such a great device.

Okay, okay, you convinced me... just ordered an Open Box 32gb LTE variant from eBay for $450. Any dangers in rooting, at least?

There are some people who have issues with freezes after rooting (on all variants). Make sure you freeze everything KNOX-related, as that causes it.
XD good, well, it's cheating, really it would be $ 7 taking into account shipping.
Browsing the internet I found this video, making a review of a mobile android $ 4. I assumed it was fake and such, but not only works, but the camera does not give much cancer as other mobile 20 times more expensive and has over cables and everything.
And in comments I saw people mentioning that it (albeit with a somewhat slow shipping) and who bought in this shop: shop251now.com/
Here is the video:
The only "negative" I see is that the battery is 1500mAh ... but for $ 4 is really something to complain about? xD
yeah

mine here is expensive than yours, samsung generally costs same with you even higher. the phones in low price are not likely to be the brand, chinese has many android phones, and they have good price with second or third famous brands.
I will give try just to see
As per last news
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Leake...ler-battery-but-faster-charging.418179.0.html
I would say this device will loose advantage of big battery which is not compensated by faster modem.
Will not have a smaller battery, and for me the super charge is all enough... And 5g hmmm will go some time before it will be normal all over.
So the m20x 5g NO THX, love my normal 4g L29 phone as it is
Dumb decision, 5G will rape the battery
A 8GB/256GB global version in black would be great. There is a picture from the 5G version and that looks like green color.
Is it already certain that 5G use more battery hen 4G?

At this point, i don't feel the need to have a 5G Device... i'll stick my 4G Mate 20 X... Until they would have good coverage all over the world, i see no point in Upgrading to a 5g Device right now...
That's a no ... the best thing about the mate20x is the battery.
5G is still in infancy. Countries all around the world will take time to shift to 5G before 4G becomes obsolete. Jumping immediately into a new found tech just because it's available is never a good idea.
And the hallmark of this phone is the big battery - in fact, it's the largest of all the flagships. Smaller battery is not a good news at all.
Whoever thought this is an exciting announcement?

Agree with that
The 5G Huawei Mate 20 X has a smaller 4200mAh battery but faster 40W charging
40 W fast charger is nice.
On hold for now

I bought Galaxy Tab S7 FE from a third-party seller on Amazon. A week after using it, it got remotely locked. I contacted Samsung and it turns out that the original seller did not complete their trade-in deal and so my device is considered stolen goods. They also wouldn't allow me to pay for the rest of the device to get it unlocked. I managed to get a full refund from Amazon, however, I'm left with a bricked device. Any help?

Do I now own a very pretty paperweight?
I just ordered one and will be completing the trade in but have read horror stories about this issue. Apparently they'll do this if your trade in isn't eligible also. Absolutely insane. Will be watching this thread for updates.

Yup that's what I did. Just shipped out my old phone a bit ago. You got $350 for Nexus yeah? Bonkers deal if so. I was in the market for a portable monitor anyways so this worked out perfectly.
