Expect Mate 20x supporting 5G and smaller battery. - Huawei Mate 20 X Guides, News, & Discussion

As per last news
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Leake...ler-battery-but-faster-charging.418179.0.html
I would say this device will loose advantage of big battery which is not compensated by faster modem.

Will not have a smaller battery, and for me the super charge is all enough... And 5g hmmm will go some time before it will be normal all over.
So the m20x 5g NO THX, love my normal 4g L29 phone as it is

Dumb decision, 5G will rape the battery

A 8GB/256GB global version in black would be great. There is a picture from the 5G version and that looks like green color.
Is it already certain that 5G use more battery hen 4G?

At this point, i don't feel the need to have a 5G Device... i'll stick my 4G Mate 20 X... Until they would have good coverage all over the world, i see no point in Upgrading to a 5g Device right now...

That's a no ... the best thing about the mate20x is the battery.

5G is still in infancy. Countries all around the world will take time to shift to 5G before 4G becomes obsolete. Jumping immediately into a new found tech just because it's available is never a good idea.
And the hallmark of this phone is the big battery - in fact, it's the largest of all the flagships. Smaller battery is not a good news at all.
Whoever thought this is an exciting announcement?

Agree with that

The 5G Huawei Mate 20 X has a smaller 4200mAh battery but faster 40W charging
40 W fast charger is nice.

On hold for now

XOOM vs other tablets in the market

hi guyz ,
since honeycombe announced and i am saving money to buy honeycombe tablet but i need help!!
seems like the most known tablets are so expensive and even made me more reluctant to buy them (i didnt like LG) so i have to options the XOOM and the galaxy tab 10.1v,i cant wait for the new GTab coz i hv no one can bring it with him and 28th of this month is my dead line....
so i need your help do you recommend the XOOM to me? is there any bugs/problems with it ( i'll buy the wifi version only)? is it weight a huge problem as media have said? what about the screen is it bad that much?
the Gtb 10.1v is more expensive the XOOM but also with 3G, lighter weight and better screen (as others said,i dont know), but taking in mind in SA it $900 (while the XOOM $600 32GB) it doesn't have an HDMI port and for 16GB
i am stuck in here so i need your help please...
P.S i really care about the updates/support and the performance
Weight is no problem for me. Even when reading comics for a long ass time, I would just switch hands.

2X2500mAh + charger with USB-out at ebay.de for 18.99€

Hey,
got them yesterday, using one today. Hard to compare something with flashing new ROMs etc., but they seem at least not worse then the original one

Have a look at item-no: 220816973218 at ebay.de
The price is amazing and they arrived during one week. They use 4.2V instead of 3.7, hope that is not damaging the Sensation but I saw this voltage at other batteries as well.
When phone is off, not hibernate, LED stays orange even when fully charged.
So after one day of using I would recommend this anyway.
Edit: brand is GaliliO
I think this is more like 1400mah than 2500...
Take it to some electronic shop and get it tested while it's fully charged. Youw ill see most of these will not come over 1200 yet alone 2000.

I know these specs are most likely not to be true. Anyway, the batteries are still not worse then the original one, I think even a bit better, and maybe they are getting even better with a few charging cycles. That still has to be determined.
Anyway, the price is still amazing for 2 batteries with charger, even with only 1400mAh which has been not proven, yet.
I would not believe that they are really 2500 mAh. If you are lucky they will not die soon. Usually if I buy a chinese battery they don't last long.
well, you can moan all you want about those chinese batteries... they still work great and last about twice as long as the stock one. Also the LED problem has resolved itself, but that was probably a problem with CWM, anyway.

Deji Batteries

I saw a thread on a different forum talking about how Deji batteries are better than stock. But they're the same mah so it makes no sense to me.

So I found this one
http://www.dinodirect.com/lg-p990-battery-rechargeable-li-ion-1500mah.html
For the P990 (Which we can use for the p999 right?)
Anyone know anything else about these batteries?
Bought one for a Droid pro and w550i. The w550 mah must be a lie seeing as the weight don't make sense... says it has double the capacity but thats impossible
But the bp6x is at least as good as stock. Not sure yet if better, hard to say. Possibly some strange reporting of % but that could be my phone...
That said both are li-ion and mugen is polymer... what do you think? They look quality but I need to test more....

Yes, the P990 will work with the G2X P999.
I bought a battery a week ago... maybe you should have posted this earlier lol ;p.

I wouldn't worry. Of the ones I've tried the batteries are at least as good as stock...
it's just that you can't get more mah into a battery without increasing it's weight (and usually size( so some mah will be false. That's why a Mugen increased capacity usually pushes out the back cover a bit on some phones and so my case no longer fits on my i9000.
Also I notice the status on my DroidPro isn't reporting accurately.
In short, they're still a typical chinese lie but they're at least as good as stock.
Took me a while to figure out the BS but in short there is generally no way to get increased capacity without more size unless talking about much older phones.
edit: Need more testing but as far as I can see these are the best you can get (allowing for price)

That some are big time scammers i will agree but how do you know about this particular phone? Have you held it in your palms/hands?
Anybody buy this phone?
Its still on pre-sale.
I just received this phone yesterday. Quality built is pretty good, very solid and fast. But for some reason I don't get 4G LTE from tmobile, screen only shows 3G. But their advertising the phone have 4G LTE band.
Mine works fine on EE 4G. There's a forum section specially for the p7000 and there's a support chap from elephone who pops up every now and again.

anyone using 5g On z fold 2 ?

How fast is it ? Anyone have experience with 5g with z fold 2?
"How's 5G?" is kind of a meaning of life question. It's less dependent on the phone than it is on the carrier. In the U.S. our 5G spectrum is all over the map. Low band is pretty much equal to 4G. Mid band is about ~100MB reliably. High band which is the holy grail with almost 1GB speeds only exists on certain street corners of certain big cities. My carrier, T-Mobile U.S., has mid band deployed where I work and this is what I get regularly. At home the 5G is low band and downloads are about ~35MB.

Haha, 5G is great ONLY if you are in a big city and if there's ZERO interference. I'm in NYC. My fastest was avg. 400Mbps. USED up all my data in a day, yikes.
In the UK I have got anything between 90 and over 500 download speeds depending on what time of day i run the test.
Lol seem it's so fast
Can't wait to test it with 5G
Using 5G here in Korea, get about 500MBps + about everywhere I am where there is 5G, and that is by now half of the country at least.
In Riyadh

Not bad 5g speeds on tmobile for me.
I've gotten good, consistent speeds (80 down, 10 up) during high traffic times in my city. It's pretty nice, however my carrier is still expanding their 5G profile in my city. I wouldn't buy any phone device just for 5G but yeah, when it locks in to 5G it's pretty sweet.
Depends on which 5G you're asking. I've had some really ****ty speeds on T-Mobile on their low band 5G. Even lower than 4G and in some instances 5G is almost locked up and no data goes through but going down to 4G LTE I have no issues.
I have verizon.with the latest software update it shows 5g but I don't think it is,because there's no 5g in my area besides speed test shows 56mbs same as 4g
