Hi guys,
I have received the Android 11 update and I duly installed it. It is awful. I cannot use Fluid Navigation Gestyures anymore and I am unable to hide the NAVBAR.
The builtin Android gestures are awful, and they ONLY work with the default launcher, so they don't work with Nova Launcher
Right now I am stuck using Nova Launcher with three button navbar, and I hate it.
My phone is bootlocker is locked.
What are my options? I would really like to go back to the last stable Android 10 release for my Poxo X3 NFC Global unit which was Android 10 running on MIUI 12.0.9.0 I think it was.
Can someone give me some advice on what are my options, and most importantly, do I have any options where I DONT have to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery?
Thank you.

I suspect your only option is to unlock your bootloader. But if you want to return to MIUI with Android 10 you don't need to install a custom recovery. You simply need to flash the MIUI Fastboot Rom with Mi Flash, in fact you can relock your bootloader again while flashing MIUI roms.
Just be careful because you will receive update notifications again and maybe the update could be downloaded and installed again overnight depending on your configurations.

So my phone is downloading L09C34B171, I just got it 2nd hand and unlocked the bootloader.
I've seen some conflicting things on using emui 8 or 9, I want to install a rom like lineage or RRv7 with magisk but apparently i need to flash everything from emui 8, so will my phone be updated to this before going to the emui 9.1?
thanks for any advice, keen to get some sweet custom OS so emui can go away.
I believe you need to have a phone on PIE to use RRv7. I flashed RRv7 to my Xiaomi Mi 8 lite and it's so much better than what was on it before. I just flashed PIE on my mate 9 yesterday and it's great. Read the thread below and you'll see how me and another guy did it. My bootloader is still unlocked so I imagine I can just flash twrp for PIE and then flash RRv7 which I'm thinking about doing. Not sure that I see that much difference is 8.0 and 9.0 but it runs fine.

Dear Guys
Kindly, I Had an Automatic Update to Upgrade MIUI to 12.2.4 Stable 12.2.4.0 (RJKMIXM)and Android 11 (RKQ1.200826.002) Last week
after the update, I had many bad issues with my phone
some of them are: (sort by priority)
1- Close and send report Message for any VPN Apps that I have, after 3-5 seconds, and shut it down
I uninstalled them and install them again from Google Play too many times, but it doesn't work for more than 5 seconds, I am living in IRAN, without a VPN we can't do anything!!!
2- no Chat unread messages bubble counter
it's showing on the All Programs Page but it doesn't Show on Desktop Screen
3- Page clutter in displaying icons or doesn't show icons on the first page sometimes
4- Handsfree volume reduction
I also tested with a few handsfree but all of them decreased in the same way
Does anyone have a solution to the above problems?
Or what should be done to ِdowngrade this update?
thank you in advanced
Had this problems too. I choose to downgrade to 12.0.4. I will wait for another update with Android 11, so far Android 10 works well for me

Can you show me a guide for downgrade to Android 10?
I too have had many problems...
First you need to unlock the bootloader.
https://c.mi.com/thread-2262302-1-0.html
After
Miflash
***download the rom(tgz file) https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/lmi/ pick FASTBOOT
download miflash https://xiaomiflashtool.com/
Phone in Fastboot ,select clean all and Flash rom.
****Open the tgz file and extract the "imi global image folder in the same folder as miflash. Rename the folder without space (ex: MIUI124Eu).
@NOSS8 Hi there, i m in the same situation. I have to go back to Android 10. I don t want any custom rom yet. Do you think i can relock the bootloader if i flash official global rom with miflash and check flash and lock option ?!
Actually i want to be just like before the update.
Thanks.

If EEA or Global phone,of course.
(turn off the update).
Install MIUI 12.2.5 update and Poco Launcher 2.20.1.24 to resolve many issues as third party launcher freeze. They are available on Xiaomi web and don't need to unlock phone
I just got the Android 11 upgrade. I want to go back to Android 10. The gesture bar is too buggy, ugly and will cause burn-in very fast (it even shows up on the ambient display, wtf are they thinking).
So, can I downgrade to Android 10 ? (I am not rooted, bootloader is locked.)
Yes you can. I have tried IT myself. Download android 10 and Flash with newflasher. I search the link...

Here you can find android 10 and 11
Hi all,
I have a Poco X3 NFC on 12.0.8 (MIUI Global) purchased in the UK.
Android version 10
What I have currently done today:
Unlocked the bootloader
Installed TWRP
What I should do next:
?????
I have a few questions below please:
Am I now allowed to log out of my mi account and take the sim out (the phone will stay unlocked?)
Can I use the same sim to do the same unlock bootloader process on another Xiaomi device now that my Poco X3 has been unlocked if I use a new Mi account?
Should I root the phone? If so how do I do this please?
How can I get the system launcher (on other Xiaomi phones such as Redmi Notes 9 Pro, Mi 10T lite 5G, etc) as I am not a fan of the default Poco launcher as I do not like how you swipe up and it shows all the apps (unless there is a way to change that function to something else?)
If I install a custom rom such as Arrow OS can I revert back to the default rom/Android version easily aka in the rom we initially get when we purchased the phone if something goes wrong?
If I install a custom rom do I have to backup everything up (how can I do this) before moving to another rom? I am just worried about having to re-install all my apps that I have downloaded from the Playstore or other sideloaded apps.
Which rom is best for you guys or do you prefer the default for now?
Really not sure what to do with the phone atm it's literally just sitting here after being unlocked and TWRP installed.
Thank you
I don't have this phone but the sim has nothing to do with unlocking the bootloader. You don't even need a sim card to unlock a bootloader.
I was under the impression that TWRP required a rooted phone so I'm not sure how you got it installed.
There are several 3rd party launcher's, Nova and lawnchair come to mind.
It asked me to use my mobile data to unlock the bootloader so a sim is needed. TWRP is installed on the device and my device is not rooted. Think I may get the phone rooted now.

Yes, you are allowed to do so. And your phone will stay unlocked.

If you're just use your phone as basic daily phone. NO need to root.
If you want to play further with Android, YES, you should root it. The best option for me is to use Magisk.

To install launcher, just search on google play, you could install it directly as another app.
I bet you're willing to keep all the apps in homescreen instead of using android drawer. IF so, yes, please install another launcher.
But if you just want to put all the shortcut of your apps to homescreen, you could enable ‘Add installed apps to the Home screen automatically’ in launcher setting.

What are you referring with easily? It's not easy to install a custom rom, as well as install the stock rom. But it's possible, just google it.

You could use google cloud backup to backup installed app from playstore.
For sideloaded apps, you could use 3rd party app (I use Titanium Backup) to backup the app and even the data. But, the chance to restore the app between OS (MIUI to custom rom) is low. And restore the data is lower, even more you can crash that particular app by doing so (just delete the data if you face it).

Subjective for each person. I can't refer anything for it.

Is it possible to go back to previous MIUI Version without voiding warranty? If yes, how??
I updated my poco x3 yesterday to the latest miui (android 10 to 11) and it has a lot of annoying bugs such as unresponsive touch screen, apps automatically closing, faster battery drain and so on.
This has never happened to me when my phone was running in android 10.

This is possible by unlocking the bootloader.
Then you can install any version of MIUI or EU rom or AOSP.
About the warranty:
"Unlocking of the bootloader is made available to make sure that MIUI developer ROMs can be tested by users and will be covered under warranty. Bootloader unlocking does not inherently void your hardware warranty. But a case where the unlocking results in a brick which cannot be fixed via software, the warranty will be void.
According to the statement, bootloader unlock is made available for users to try MIUI developer ROMs. And thus, it will not void the warranty of any Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone. But if the device bricks after unlocking and could not be fixed via software, then the warranty will be void."
