Apple AirPods PRO - Nokia 6.2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
Is it possible to pair this device with AirPods PRO headphones to display the battery status and work double tap to skip songs?
I can't do it. The applications tells me that the phone does not support additional authorization. Where is the problem? (chipset, hw, android build)
Thanks for answer.

The problem is most likely that it's not an Apple phone Android and Apple don't play nice together. I'd love some Airpods Pro buds, but I'd have to get an Apple phone or Ipad. I already have a nice Android phone but I just won't get the functions on the airpods that I want without an Apple device to pair it to

[Q] Are there any remote controls for an android phone?

Hi guys-
I currently use my ipod as my primary mp3 player, and I have it connected to my home stereo. I LOVE having it on the dock, and I can use the remote control to change songs from in the kitchen while I'm doing stuff. I would like to switch out to using my phone, but I don't want to lose the ability to use the remote. It is a pain in the ass to run back into the living room every time I want to skip a song. I'm getting a new phone soon, so I was wondering if there are any android phones that you can use with a remote control? I REALLY don't want an iphone, but I'm considering it because I can use my ipod dock. Also, when I google remote for android phone, I only get results for apps that let you use your android phone as a remote control, which is not what I want. The few that I have seen also have headphones and built in mic. Seems like they are more designed for hands free phone operation while in the car. Not exactly what I'm looking for...
Thanks!
Edit: I Finally found this: http://www.examiner.com/technology-...emote-control-for-android-powered-smartphones
The list of compatible phones is quite short, though.
Has anyone tried it? Or has anyone used a different remote that you would recommend?
^
Does anyone know of an i/r remote that can control our android phones?
my daughters ipod charging dock came with an i/r remote that allows her to change songs from a distance with the remote. if only the dock would charge her ipod instead of giving a "this device is not a supported accessory" error... i hate apple!
i have a whole house audio system with keypads in all of the bedrooms that can transmit i/r commands back to a device to change channels/songs/etc. i have it setup to change songs on the ipod from anywere in the house which is fantastic, but the ipod won't charge on the dock .
i would love to replace the ipod with my anroid phone, but i have not seen a charging dock that also has an i/r sensor. it would be absolutely fantastic to have this option, and if anyone has any recommendations, i'd love to hear them.
thanks.

[Q] How Earphone Universal Remote Works In Android Device

I just bough my Nexus 5 last week and I am now looking for an earphone. I just came across this earphone (AKG K323XS A Black Ultra Small In-Ear Headphones with Universal Remote) and it is a nice earphone which is within my budget and has a quite good rating. But I am quite concern with the compatibility with my N5. While it did specified in the website saying that it is "Works seemlessly with most Android devices." but I am not sure whether the so called "universal remote" can control volume, skip song, receive call, and activate Google Now for my N5.
So anybody know actually how's is this universal remote standard works in the mobile industry, specifically for Android?

Google Maps Navigation and Bluetooth Source Woes

Here's my woe:
I want to be able to play my FM Radio (or CD, or USB stick - just any audio source I choose in my car) and hear Google Maps Navigation over my car spearkers. Currently I can do that if I listen to BT audio and listen to music from my phone.
My work phone is an Iphone 5s and it does this flawlessly because there's a checkbox option in google maps navigation settings "Play as Phone call" which allows it to work flawlessly. The Android app doesn't have that option. Why is that?
I have tried SoundAbout and it's terrible. Half the audio plays on the phone then it switches to my speakers and is terrible and skips words. As for other apps, I've tried BTmono, I've googled my fingers to nubs and tried every setting (turn off multimedia on the phone, on the car etc).
I'm wondering if I root this phone can I fix this at all? Or is there an alternative APK of maps with that option (maybe beta or something)
(Also can you get Google Now voice to go over the car audio like the iphone voice commands does natively, Google Now requires it to be in BT audio source as well.)
I also know this is not car specific because I tested it with a VW Passat with my phone and a Samsung Galaxy S5 and Motorola Droid something or another my coworker owns and it behaves the same in his car as well as mine.
This feature is absolutely frustrating and a dealbreaker for me. I'd happily just use my work phone in the car but anything on that phone is subject to FOIA from the general public. No thanks to that. I asked in another forum and they said it's because the iphone doesn't do a2dp or bluetooth audio out or whatever but that's not true, my iphone does play music over the bluetooth audio source. And I realize the iphone isn't as sophisticated, I'm android through and through, which is why this is making kittens cry blood for me.
Please help me. And Thank you so much for even reading!
Info:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy s6 (lollipop)
Car: 2012 Camry (No entune).
I've come back to the forums for this exact problem you are describing. I believe it's true that for Google Maps voice prompts, the iPhone will indeed route them using HFP (hands free protocol) to mimic a phone call, so your car will lower the radio volume and let the voice prompt through. As far as I can tell Android has no such similar feature, and yes it's annoying as heck. Since Google Maps works on iOS but not on Android, I can only conclude that this is some oversight by the Android team, or perhaps some kind of hardware limitation that Google doesn't think is worth spending money on.
I'm a bit surprised that after all my internet searching, this problem hasn't made a big enough fuss to get to Google's attention.
I wish they would fix this and am surprised more people are not making a fuss about it
I have made an app for that. It's called AudioBT on Google Play...
Two Years Later
And this is still an issue. And when connected to my truck via bluetooth it won't give voice directions through my phones speaker either. Hard to convince someone Android is better than ios when something that works so well with an iPhone doesn't work at all with an Android. Please fix this!

Help using a tablet together with a phone in a car

Hello!
I hope getting some help & ideas for a new idea I'm trying to use in my car.
I have an old Volvo, with next to no modern entertainment options, meaning a factory built-in radio (neither DIN nor Double-DIN), with no bluetooth or anything fancy. A good radio with a really good sound and equalizer (DolbySorround), but that's it. And a seperate navigation system with no online connectivity or recent updates what so ever (last update is from 2014 for a nice 300.-€).
My idea would be:
Tablet (in my case a Fire HD8, unlocked, rooted and with LineageOS 14)
Phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix2, as well with LineageOS, but LOS16)
Bluetooth receiver from Aukey (that I can wire in with the equalizer)
So far, so good. But here comes the problem:
I want to do some things on the tablet, like navigation, music streaming and calls. Is it possible, to connect phone and tablet in a way, I could start the music (Amazon, Google and my own Nextcloud) from the tablet, where in reality the phone makes the connection and "sends" the sound to the tablet (and from there the tablet to the BT audio receiver) or directly to the BT audio receiver, as long as I can control that from the tablet. Or the navigation (tablet) can use the internet connection from the phone. And last thing, I want to make or receive calls on the phone, but I would like to control that from the tablet as well.
I think you get the idea, what I'm trying to do here.
I'm really not sure how to start, the hardware is already here, but I'm willing to buy other stuff, as long as it works afterwards.
Any ideas or input is very welcome, I'm a little stuck here. Thanks a lot in advance!

Help me leave IOS

So I have been a PC user for like 35 years. TRS 80 was my first computer. Fast forward. The past year I have pretty much gone Apple with everything. Homepods (selling) MacBook Air M1 (selling) too. I am going to stay on my Nuc gaming rig.
Anyway... I am a family of 5, everyone has iphones/ipads so imessage is used. I hit a wall with the mac (massive bluetooth issues with logitech mouse and keyboard) and it brought me back to my Nuc LTSC and it felt like home. The main thing that has kept me on iphone is imessage but today is the first day I am thinking about jumping ship. I have the new mini and like the the size. I use my airpods a TON. I record youtube videos using the airpods as my wireless mic. Now, here is a requirement. I use an ios app called moviepro, it lets me record the front camera and I can push a button and switch to the back camera all in 1 video. Just makes for an easier flow. I also use my airpods as the wireless mic. Is there an android app that allows for the flipping of cameras and bluetooth mic? I shoot in 1080, not 4k as its not needed for my videos. Suggestions?
Thank you
