So recently i started to notice that in my home screen (touchwiz or other launchers) at the top of the screen there is some grey lines it is best visible if i use a black wallpaper and set the brightness to the maximum. This doesn't show anywhere except on the home screen. I tried other wallpapers, and if i look at it in the gallery or turn on ultra power saving mode there is no grey lines.(my device is galaxy s6)
Does anyone know what it is? Or how to fix it?
(i hope you guys can understand me sry for my english)
So, if you switch to your pictures and images gallery, the lines disappear?
Did you drop your device on the floor or did it incurred any damages lately?

It's a common issue. It's stupid Touchwiz/Samsung system which creates a small overlay at the top of Homescreens (any launchers) & lockscreens. In gallery etc, it's perfectly black since no overlay.
I don't think there is a fix. U can use a slightly greyish instead of full black wallpaper. It's not a big problem though
Oh i understand. Thank you for help. I was thought my phone has a problem.
Sometimes the grey lines can appear in Samsung mobiles if you use a bad launcher or a theme which is not compatible with the phone. You can try updating to a new version and see if fixes the problem, or use a light gray wallpaper as already suggested. Another couple of things to try... take a screenshot of your phone and test it on your laptop to see if the lines are still there. If not then it could be a problem with the screen itself. It's also worth restarting your phone in Safe Mode as this mode only runs with pre-installed apps. If you don't see the lines then an app could be your culprit
It was a happy start to the day as i saw my Poco F1 ready to be updated to Android Pie. I did it as soon as i saw it. Here are my takes.
Pros:
1. App icon displayed on the notification bar.
2. Google lens support to the stock camera.
3. Better performance.
Cons:
1. App icons from the notification bar disappear after a short while.
2. Option to hide the notch removed.
3. Adaptive battery mode from stock Pie not included.
4. Night mode and 960fps slow mo not included in the camera.
Do onething. Set a light wallpaper on homescreen or just open Themes app and switch from Poco to Classic theme. It will change the home wallpaper to light green. Now just reboot the device and when boots back, unlock it quickly without delaying. Now take a deep look on the homescreen and tell me if you can see some horizontal lines (not very deep though).
I have seen it on miui 10.1.3.0. At first I thought it might be a bug on my OTA. So, I grabbed the 10.1.3.0 fastboot ROM from miui forum and clean flashed through MiFlash tool. But it's still there. It was not present on miui 9 or 10.0.6.0. Right now I'm on 8.12.13 and there is no such issue.
Sir
Plz help
I can see those lines after reboot so what should I do
I installed the Android Pie update for my P20 phone and I noticed that there is now a lot of white areas in the UI which are really bright - the pull down status buttons from the toolbar are now all white and so is the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. I preferred it before how it was on Oreo and I am wondering if there is a dark setting anywhere that I have missed?
Many thanks

It's a Chrome issue. I use Bromite, which is based on Chrome, and the issue started with the latest version.
It's quite irritating, but it will likely be fixed in the next update.
I too had the same issue. As someone mentioned in a different thread: disable wide color gamut in chrome flags. That fixed it for me.
Yeh, I to have seen this chrome tint issue...
Anyone else having their status bar stuck in full screen games/apps? When launching the full screen app, it's fine. But after a few times of swiping the status bar down to view notifications/reply messages, the status bar stays on, and won't disappear.
Did my due diligence and googled, but found only Google pixel phone users complained about this. No asus rog 5 users facing this issue. Am I the only one?
*Using Tencent model, with global ROM flashed from factory.
