Question MEMC for video playback ? - iQOO 7

I have found that, MEMC technology is only for games. Is there any way to enable it for video playback like for VLC player, MX player and for youtube, netfilx ?

No! It only supports in specific games and there are no tweaks as of now try to add those apps in ultra gaming mode and try! I hope it does something I've added prime in ultra game mode and i got some options but there's no frame interpolation!

Thanks Neeraj for reply, but please let me know if you find any tweaks for this.

coreplayer / tcmp

Hi
are some tweaks do be done to use coreplayer or tcmp on the TP?
Coreplayer (1.20) plays sound but with a blackscreen and when i click on Tcmp(.71 and .81) i get an error message.
Anyone can help ?
Thanks
TCPMP .72RC1 with Flashbundle 1.4.4 works for me. Latest version of Coreplayer works for me too.
I had problems until someone pointed me at TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03.CAB... search Google for it.
I use Coreplayer 1.2.5 (build 4506) and it works perfect. What kind of problems do you have with it?

What kind of files are you trying to play?
In Core, change video from settings to DirectDraw. So you see picture also.

Same for me. I have a swe 1.90 ROM.
The above TCPMP plus some tweaks work like a charm!
Thank you guys ,tcpmp is working now( i installed the cab you mentionned).
But are they tweaks to do to have a fluent picture with no lag ?
Th
Can someone please post some basic settings for Coreplayer on Raphael that give best performance? I know it depends on the video being played, but if there are any 'must have settings', I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
I found that even using TCPMP the playback from an AVI was still a touch blocky on full screen updates, this was not so on my previous Mini S.
With Core Player it's fine, checking the video settings Core Player has a video setting called 'Qtv Display' this seems really smooth but the downside appears to be that the brightness/contrast settings appear disabled in this mode.
Setting Core Player back to Direct Draw enables the brightness/contrast settings but then returns full screen playback to the same quality of TCPMP.
I'm going to brighten the AVI's with VirtualDub and leave Core Player in QTv mode.

Many thanks for your input. Anyone else have experiences to share?
well im not sure where you all payed for your coreplayers since everytime i go to the site it asks me to buy but a friend sent me a version of it and i followed most of the suggestions ppl made about settings and find that HD avi files still are a bit choppy.
not sure if there's any fix or setting changes that fix it or not
See this post!!!! Your questions will be answered!

Dang, I wrote out a long post, but after I clicked submit reply, xda wanted me to log in again, and I lost 4 paragraphs.
Anyway, long story short, I increased the buffer size by 10 times and it helped for one specific video that I was having trouble with. Most of my other videos still get low framerates during scenes with high movement (e.g. car chase scenes, fight scenes).
Maybe an expert can elucidate how to tweak these players or direct us to a website/thread with tips for Video/Buffering settings to get better framerates. In the meantime, I'll keep googling.
I'm still on stock ROM, using TF3D to scroll videos, which is choppy. They play fine via HTC Album and WMP, but TCPMP chokes. I've tried xvid avis and small (10MB) MP4s.
I've tried setting the buffer, tweaking the video render mode, Disable AVC deblocking filter, Override AVI frame rate based on audio. Any thoughts?
PS, running recomp version 3.

Finally a player that is better than rockplayer

Today i have a free application to recommend (MoboPlayer) , it's still on beta.
Official website : http://moboplayer.com/moboplayer_en.html
Tested this application with a 720p MKV anime and it can play smoothly on it, tried it on rockplayer and it lag like hell.
However I think it's only work on 720p with around 30fps since Sony capped the max fps. Tried it with 24fps video and no problem with it.
It's support almost every type of video files just like rockplayer but have a nicer interface but you have to add the video into it's library in order to read.
Download link extracted from the website: http://update.moboplayer.com/android/release/mobo_1.0.120_v7_neon.apk
Please try it and comment below.
it did not even find my media, while other players did!
Awesome player! Confirmed but not high volume videos.

VITAL player is best
VITAL is better i guess
I have a 200MB .mkv file It plays in VITAL
Laggy in moboplayer/
i`ve tested a file with vital player
720p - 28 minutes - 1GB - mkv file - audio ac3 5.1
the vital player cant play it smooth and correct.
its very laggy. will test the mobo player next...
Now i can uninstall QQPlayer Vplayer nice...
V Player is BEST !!
I use Meridian Player and it seems to play files very smoothly. I shall give this one a shot though.

I´ve tested mobo player now with the same file...
i cant understand why everybody is talking that kind of **** in this thread!?
pls believe me that there is no player for sony x10 which can play "real" 720p files well without async audio and laggy frames.
buy next phone with dualcore and i think its possible...
THE BEST Video player i ever seen for android .... way better than Vplayer's stupid interface ..... thank you very much
I really LOVE MixZing for all my MP3s! Its got a clean, simple, and dark interface. For video I use mVideoPlayer for Anime because its the only one I know that automaticly got subtitles for my episodes.
VitalPlayer I've been using for video, but I don't like how it doesn't have a list of your media like mVideoPlayer.
I'm gonna try this new one and see what I think... the hunt to only use one continues.
Amazing it's the best player to this moment ..
I test a lot of player but this is the best thanks man ...

Which version of Vital Player is for the X10 as our devices are Arm7 but on Market it states that Vital Player Neon is suitable for our X10s, even though that version is suppose to be for Cortex A8 devices only???

Sigh... That's just plain ignorant... The X10 has a hardware decoder that can handle even 1080p without any problems... BUT since it's a hardware decoder, the video stream has to be in a format it understands. In the X10, that means H.263, H.264 and MPEG-4.
Any other codec needs software decoding and for that, there isnt enough CPU power to do at more than ~15fps for 720p. By dropping frames, that wont desync audio but it will be laggy to watch so that statement is just plain wrong. Dualcore also wont change that one bit.
As for container, atleast from what I've seen so far, no third party player has ever handled hardware decoding themself but always relied on the built in videoplayer for that and simply showing the output. That however limits you also to containers that the builtin player understands for this, which is only MP4, AVI and MPG. But that may very well change and if OP states that this player can play 720p MKV files, it may very well be the first player to properly implement calling of the hardware decoder itself. Will be intresting to see.
But please, learn what it is you're bashing before doing it. It saves people from having to come correct your misconceptions about what you're bashing.

read the first post and you can see that he was talking about MKV FILES !!!
But its the same with an 720p avi file... i dont have the chance to test the mp4 at the moment...
everytime i want to play a 720p movie (and not a camera record) its laggy on my x10.
you mean if i rip a movie in the mp4 there would be no problems at all?
Ok, so I just tried this player... and it is super awesome!! Easily the best one I've tried so far! Thanks for sharing!
it took my application sound files and paired it with my audio files. not cool.
Thanks for all your feedbacks. The 720p (1280x720) h264 mkv file that I tried run smoothly on it. As some of you stated it's still lag, therefore i tried a 720p mp4 file and the video is quite smooth however there's lot of distortion in the audio maybe due to the 5 channel audio.
Will try again tommorrow if I have the time.
Anyway one of the good points of this player is
1) Better interface
2) Able to choose dual audio track (English, Japanese) or dual subtitles (English, German etc)
3) Much more smoother than other player
4) More gesture function.
Hope you all can get the best out of this player. Have a nice day.

Best video player?

Hey guys. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I think the stock video player is ****. Then again, I haven't liked stock something in a long time in any of my phones.
I'd like to know which video player is best? One that handles all known video formats beautifully and taht plays even 720p MKV files smoothly or as smooth as can be.
Do suggest paid apps as well. I haven't had a good video player in ages, so I'm ready to dish out around 5 bucks for it. I'd want VLC, though, but it's been in development for ages and seems to never see light.
What about MX Player Pro???
MoboplayerPro or Rockplayer
Be warned, rock player ain't preety, but it's a format buster, mobo has a neater ui and works around about the same.
Another vote for moboplayer. One of the main things I do on my GS2 is to watch videos. I´ve thrown a bunch of different formats and codecs and I never had any issues. It also supports subtitles.
MX Player for me. Swiping for volume/brightness/scrubbing is awesome. It also has 200% volume boost via software encoder.
i'm using MoboPlayer, Think is best
interface +
compatibility +
Another vote for moboplayer!! It's pretty good...
Mx player.
$1 gets you a reply
MXplayer for me.. I would like to get the pro version.. But I dont use credit cards..
Sent from my MK16i using XDA
Try diceplayer from market.
Diceplayer is the first HW accelerated video player in Android Market.
It support 720p H.264 MKV with OGG/FLAC/AC-3/DTS audio and embedded and external subtiles.
and SMB/FTP/HTTP support.
You can play video from your PC with SMB share with external subtitle.
I use MX Player & its the best player so far, it contains every feature I want... Best & fast...
Haven't really played alot of videos on my phone for a while now, but i use VitalPlayer by Ringo.
Found it to be one of the better apps for playing video. Tried quite a few before picking that one.
Free and Paid option is avaible.

It's only released to the people with android 6.0.
For Lollipop & below, it's released for only beta testers.
Hardware (Both H/W & H/W+) are better. They are using system decoders. So, it's performance will be better. Will give you better battery backup. But, it has limited support for various formats.
S/W decoder uses ffmpeg to decode. So, it can support more formats. But, it uses CPU to decode the video. So, it will be laggy when your processor speed is not enough to decode that video. Since it uses more cpu it will consume more battery.
BTW, custom codecs for the test builds are already available in my custom codec thread. You can download it.

sofar i dont have any laggs at all, and i watched pretty intensive things i think,
anime is mostly encoded a way it's not light, for example subs, some subs make the player lags, could be a wrong setting ,
my lappy contains also pretty fast hardware, intel 2630qm quad core, 2ghz with 8gb ddr3 1600mhz dual channel and dual ssd
what i watched on my phone are doki's mkv BD HEVC 1080p FLAC releases, alot tv releases witch are mostly 10bit 720p mkv, it is mostly the ass/ssa sub that makes it hard to watch on some devices, bcuz on my nokia n8 i could flawless play mkv 10bit 1080p, untill i activate subs, sofar the hardwaare of s6 is good i think
btw, chapter support in mx player? will it ever come ?
The HEVC codec for mobile isn't fully optimized (yet), and using the "Improve SSA rendering" feature puts subtitle rendering onto the CPU and software decoder, meaning you'll require even more CPU power. This is probably why 10bit H264 was playing back better for you, is my guess.

[Feature request] Automatic frame rate switching

Hello,
I'm a registered user of MX Player (MX Player Pro) and I miss this feature on my NVIDIA SHIELD TV. NVIDIA is not going to add automatic frame rate switching because they say this feature should be implemented in each video application, not in firmware. MX Player is the video player with the best picture quality I have ever seen, but this feature is necessary on NSTV because we have to set the frame rate manually in Settings for each video file.
Thank you. Best regards.
I need this function for Amazon Fire TV 4K too. Please implement this, if possible. Hint: The SmartYouTubeTV app (free on github) has working AFR.
Please implement this feature! The Vimu Player, Plex, Emby works better!

or KMplayer.
If you use Kodi and set MX Player as the default video player in playerfactorycore.xml it will switch the refresh rate first, then send the video to MX Player to handle the playback.
