Question Oneplus 9 | LE2113 | 11.2.4.4.LE25AA | How do I convert to EU firmware - OnePlus 9

Hi there, I bought a Oneplus 9 (12/256) directly from Oneplus Singapore. Everything is great except for the fact that I hoped to update the software to a newer version ( 11.2.7.7 / 11.2.6.6 ) to enjoy the bug fixes and improvements.
The phone came on 11.2.3.3.LE25AA
The default system update showed that it was the latest version.
Okay......then I learnt about Oxygen Updater and used it to update to 11.2.4.4.LE25AA
However, when I proceeded to update further to 11.2.5.5, the app was still showing me that the latest software is 11.2.4.4 (What??)
I then learnt that my phone was running on Global Firmware which was stuck on 11.2.4.4 and though the incremental update from 11.2.5.5 to 11.2.6.6 was available, without being able to update to 11.2.5.5, I was stuck on 11.2.4.4...........
Then I researched my model number and realised that LE2113 meant my Oneplus 9 (purchased directly from Oneplus) was the EU variant.....running the Global firmware......sigh......
So here I am now, seeking advice from you knowledgeable folks, how do I go about getting my phone to run on the EU firmware so that I can enjoy faster(?) updates.
Is it as simple as downloading the full zip of 11.2.6.6.LE25BA from Oxygen Updater and using Local Upgrade in the default System Update? Will this wipe my data?
Or will I have to root/flash or something complicated

Just flash the full BA zip.

By flash, are you referring to the system updater in the settings app?

How to go back from Oxygen to Hydrogen?

Hi
Recently I flashed my OP 7 Pro from Chinese version of Hydrogen to Global Oxygen 9.5.7.
I have Chinese version of the phone GM1910 and I did that mostly because of the Google Services lock [as Google is banned in CN]
Now I would like to go back to the original version, but I don't think that I can do it by the local upgrade [as the H is a higher version than Oxygen?]
Would factory reset bring it back to the Hydrogen version? Or the Oxygen is now the official version of the software for my phone?
Apologies if my question is stupid, but I am really new to all those flashes and changing ROMs, so I rather ask before fragging my lovely phone
thank you for any info
Flash Chinese Full version (latest) from local update then wipe date from recovery.
changing from Hydrogen version to Oxygen or from Oxygen to Hydrogen is easy
just flash it back from local update, no data wipe is needed if it is no error (official instruction), i flash from h2os to oos without wipe, no problem.

Unfortunately it's impossible.
Hydro is a lower version than Oxy, system won't aloud to do it.
I'll have to wait for the next update,or root it..?
So annoying ?

Unlock bootloader and flash it via fastboot ? (provided if there's a fastboot version of the rom)
Local upgrade doesn't allow downgrading firmware. You mentioned that the HOS's version is higher then it shouldn't be a problem right?

Sorry it's the other way around.
I can't do it over local upgrade.
What's the difference between official ROM and fastboot version? (Sorry I'm still learning here) :crying:

Official one is flashable via local upgrade, fastboot rom is executed via fastboot mode adb.

Use MSMdownloadtool. There is one for the Chinese phone. it's in the thread collecting all the various MSMdownloadtool archives. Use that to get down to an old version of Hydrogen, then you can flash Oxygen via local update.

fyi, going through same thing now. delete the chinese text from the first folder or copy the guac folder elsewhere. it errors otherwise. took me ages to figure it out.
If that doesn't work for some reason, I'm surprised nobody mentioned using TWRP to flash Hydrogen. If that doesn't work for you, try installing TWRP and then flashing Hydrogen that way. ?

Full Zip GM57AA 10.3.0

I've got my op7 and wish I could have the full zip for 10.3.0 GM57AA, does anyone here have it?
Also, do you see any advantage on changing from AA to BA?
PS: I live in Brazil

The fastboot rom idk if it's updated, the oxygen os repo is not, it stopped on 10.0.2
Also, I can get the 10.3.0 file from Oxygen updater, or just directly update the smartphone? Is there any difference between 10.0.3 and 10.3.0? because on fastboot thread, mauronofrio has only made the images for 10.0.3

First, take the 10.3.0 zip( full update )from oxygen updater as I told you. update your device via Local Update & Reboot device...
open again oxygen updater app, go settings - advanced mode = disabled / update method = Incremental update, go back & download the latest 10.3.1 update & install it again via Local update...
of course 10.0.3 & 10.3.0 is different builds...10.0.3 is older...The latest oos is 10.3.1

some said 10.3.0 and 10.0.3 are the same, but 3.0 for global and 0.3 for europe, but I don't who to trust at all...
also, I often use magisk, and I really DON'T LIKE to update system while rooted, so I prefer going for flashing the whole stock rom, update through OTA, and then, just arter these steps, install twrp and magisk... what do you recommend as a step-by-step to do so? remember, I don't want to flash stock while rooted

oneplus 7 Pro , trying to update to Android 10

I had a oneplus 6 and that updated to android 10 a while ago.
Now I recieved a oneplus 7 pro. But the problem is it will not update to android 10.
Tried a system update check, Said up to date.
Contacted oneplus they mentioned the local file upgrade
Downloaded that ZIP and tried again, it tells me system update installation failed.
I am rooted and have TWRP installed as well as magisk.
Considered flashing from TWRP, but since it is an official system update not sure how that would work.
Is this my best option or anyone have an idea on why it fails.?
Tried different suggestions, nothing seemed to work. Did not try to delete cache yet.

You have not provided
any information about your phone:
1.) What version of OxygenOS do you currently have on your phone?
2.) What is your Phone Model?
[GUIDE] OnePlus 7 Pro [Region] (MODEL)
P.S.
From Android 9 to Android 10 (Official Stock ROM)
First with local upgrade go on OxygenOS 10.0.3
After this, upgrade to the latest version of OxygenOS
Local Upgrade
1.) Download the file OxygenOS 10.0.3 Global OnePlus 7 Pro 2.0 GB and copy it to the root of the internal memory
2.) Go to Settings> System> System Updates> Click the gear at the top right> Local Upgrade> Click on the appropriate installation package> Update
3.) After the update is completed, click Restart
4.) The update was successful.
Note If you do not see the firmware file, then check the file extension should be .zip (if you have .zip.jar just rename it by deleting .jar)

Updater didnt work, but ended up booting from local updater after the file was downloaded.
Then I ended up doing local update with the update from oneplus latest.
Now I am working on redoing TWRP. It is sticking on fastboot mode after doing a fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-4-guacamole.img
Just hope I didnt mess something up when I did the TWRP Magisk A/B retention script.
May try a different TWRP boot img
Newest TWRP worked fine.
ReInstalled Magisk.
All Data and apps are good.
Few minor issues but nothing to serious.

[solved] Restore latest OOS 11

Hello
Just bought a OP8T KB2005 version
I made the mistake to run all updates until reaching OOS 12
I got back using MSM to version 11.0.7.9 using this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4180837/
It seems to work as expected, but I wanted to know if there a way to push an update to the latest OOS 11 release
Found on this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-8t-rom-ota-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.4193183/
this downgrade zip with version 11.0.11.11 but I don't know hoz to flash it.
Using fastboot ? It seems less secure than using MSM.
Thanks !

If you are on OOS 11.0.7.9 just flash latest flashable zip via local update in settings and you'll be on the latest OOS11 11.0.13.13.
Thanks.
Smoothly ran the update through local update.
Works like a charm!

F63 EU to F64 Global?

Hello I converted to KB2003, currently running F63.EU
I've always seem conflicting answers on this subject, but is it possible to change regions from EU to Global doing a local install or flashing in custom recovery without having to wipe data?

I've done it in the past without problems by using local install but don't take my words as certainty. Anyway, always use full builds and always update to a build that has been released after your current one.
I did some TWRP testing (last year using KB2003 C.33 and KB2005 C.33) and found that without doing a data format or factory reset I could flash KB2005 firmware over KB2003 firmware (and vice versa) and the system comes up cleanly.
So, purely from a firmware perspective, the answer to your question is Yes.

So to confirm, this was not an OTA zip that you flashed in TWRP?
Also, did you pull the firmware from payload or use the flashable firmware?

I actually can't remember the details. I had KB2003 installed on one slot and KB2005 installed on the other. The easiest way for me to do that would have been to use local update to install the full OTA zips (because the full OTA doesn't check what's already installed). But I might also have used TWRP to install the full OTA zips. I just can't remember and I didn't keep notes on the installation method.
And then I could swap between the two slots by simply flashing in fastbootd the non-A/B partitions and the logical partitions (all extracted using payload dumper).
At one point I think I also installed KB2001 (IN). And, I'm presuming, that would also have been using local update.
Note: I've edited my original post - it should have only mentioned KB2003 and KB2005.
