Okay so I have been searching and searching, and no one seems to know anything about this. I have the Huawei Ascend on MetroPCS. I am running Cyanogen Mod 6. Everything is working great except one thing. I will get the same text messages not once, not twice, but up to ten times. IT IS ****ING ANNOYING. I really need some help on this, before I destroy my phone. If anyone has some way to get rid of this, or knows of any way or can give me any info please help me. I have tried every messaging app on the market. I am currently using the stock messaging app. Please help.
Here is my other issue. On CM6. the signal indicator is not accurate. This would not be a problem, but it makes my messaging app think 5 out of 6 messages I send, are failed. So it will say "message failed" even if it sent. So if it was actually failed, I wouldnt know because it LIES. Can someone please point me to some fix to this? It seems like it would be something simple, but apparently no one has tried to fix it. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hey, first off I did search but could not find anything that could help my situation. I started having inconsistent email send and receive several weeks ago. I would remove all email accounts (hotmail, yahoo, and exchange) and re add and it worked for a week or so. I did this a few times and it worked for a while but recently started getting "Exchange Services have stopped" errors/prompts.
I emailed support and they said to factory reset the phone, I tried that and it didn't work. Upon initial boot, I would get the exchange error immediately and most importantly it won't connect to Google services (cannot connect to google services) so nothing will work minus phone (won't take calls but will make calls) and text. No PlayStore or anything is available. I'm not 100% sure the factory reset is truly a full reset as I didn't have to go through the cyanogen setup as it just turns on and I add the accounts in the settings.
Phone is NOT rooted or flashed or anything, just a normal phone with a normal user.
Please help, your insight is appreciated.

Will that void my warranty? I've already asked for a refund from OP. Haven't gotten a response yet but out of the 50 days I've had the phone, it's been inoperable for 10% of that time and been inconsistent (emails/texts) for the remaining 90.
Now I haven't heard back from OP, I hope they will play nice.

No it shouldn't void warranty your just returning it to stock.
but it's already stock, right?

Yes its already stock but a reflashing of rom may fix your problems.

One last question, on my last reset, I noticed the following error but it did finish the reset.

Have no clue maybe someone can enlighten us both.
Go into safe mode. When I called last week about this issue, Samsung said they had just discovered it when people started calling in about the problem. The tech I spoke with said if you can access the security settings in safe mode, then the problem might be an application that you downloaded. Only problem with that theory is you would literally have to spend a lot of time, probably multiple hours, uninstalling and reinstalling your apps and also checking the settings to see if they work. I was told Samsung tech support would investigate further and call back about further troubleshooting, but have not done so yet!

Hi guys, since at some point today, my phone will no longer let me send text messages. It just pops up with a "sending failed" message. I was playing with the settings earlier but I have gone back through these many times and cannot spot anything wrong with them. I've tried restoring settings and messages via Titanium Backup but with no joy. I have also taken the battery out for a few minutes and checked to make sure the 'message centre number' was correct but both with no luck.
The only thing that I recall changing today was adding my bosses number to my 'reject list' but later removing it again. I don't know whether this has made any difference...
Please could someone try to help me as I cannot get my head around it now? Much appreciated!

Hi. I put it in brackets under at the bottom. I'm on a Galaxy Note 3 running AryaMod V8.0 and IdleKernal 3.4.110. I hope that helps...Finding it so frustrating.
Just updated to AyraMod V8.1 now but it hasn't solved the problem
Like the title says...got my p7p about 3 weeks ago and quick phrases was working fine....then all of a sudden it stopped working...I went to check and it says it's not available on this device...so went through all the troubleshooting I can find and finally just reset my phone...it started working again...GREAT!!!....4 days later again it goes away...something on my wife's phone...anybody else have it problem?did you fix it?..is it something that needs to be fixed through an update?
