Jeah, this metod will not work to anyone, who have locked bootloader.
But, there is bug, when bootloader is unlocked (atlest in fastboot its shows that its unlockd), but realy its locked.
Why there are this bug? i dont know, but its happen when someone try with dload method to fix phone, or when with twrp recovery are flashing official nuget zip. In developer options there are turned of option "alow to unlock bootloader", and thats reason why cant flash with fastboot thease img files.
So, at the end, this method will work only in certain circumstances, and not for everyone who bricked phone, due this bug .

Quick question, I bricked my phone when I did a factory reset and deleted internal storage and accidentally deleted important files while doing so. I flashed a stock update from the warehouse and completely deleted the system instead. I then flashed Lineage ROM which reinstalled the system but now causes me to get stuck in bootup. When I installed Lineage ROM, I got the following error.

Download the FULL OTA files on the last approved update you were and flash via HuRupdater method.
If you are on the Chinese variant, you can flash stock recovery via fastboot and then download firmware from there on.

Hi,
I was on B386 before (Nougat)
Flashing RR-N-v5.8.4 gives this error:
Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset.
Updater process ended with ERROR 7
Any idea ?
Thanks !
PS : This error also prevents me to install B390, B383, B182. Only B360 can be installed from TWRP.

my p9 i do the things as you saying but it when it goes on fastboot stack on screen your devise is booting now...wont open and at adb says waiting for devise nothing else what to do ?
To get into fastboot mode you keep the phone plugged into computer and hold power and volume down until you get to the white fastboot screen.
There is no need to wait for the battery to drain as you can just force shut down a phone using power + volume down holding.

Hi
I came here because i tried to install miui on my P9 via trwp , somehow it wasnt mountable and after searching the internet i found the solution was to change the filetype.
Sadly i forgot that this would delete my backup, which happened and the miui still wasnt mountable.
I tried your method but after a few miliseconds of the forced update it gets an error and stops.
Or lets say i tried your method while being in trwp recovery mode because otherwise no devices are being detected by adb tool.
i tried to install a p9 stock rom but i cant even mount that one, somehow nothing works.
I seriously dont know what to do anymore.
Try this...
Try to flash downgrade firmware...
Rollback Instructions
Step 1. Download the appropriate rollback firmware
Step 2. Copy the extracted dload folder to the external storage of your phone (micro sd card).
Step 4. Disconnect the USB cable and turn your phone off.
Step 5. Now hold Volume up + Volume down + Power buttons until the installation screen appears.
Step 6. When the phone restarts after completing the installation, your firmware version should now be “B300”.
Step 7. Try to find oldest marshmallow firmware and flash it using same way...
I want to android 6.0 as twrp. How ? Pls
That is only for unlocked bootloader??
Link in Step 12 for Nougat s broken

TWRP and rooting in Open Beta 6 Pie

Hello. I've tried several methods (Blu Spark and Unofficial TWRP) of rooting and flashing TWRP on my One Plus 6, on Open Beta 6. However, I always end up with the below two:
1) Stuck at "Device is unlocked......." screen, or
2) After the above screen, it goes and gets stuck at the recovery screen. Doesn't move ahead.
Hi,
I am also on Open Beta 6 and flashed TWRP successfully. What was your procedure exactly? Mine was
In OOS Beta 6 enable developer options and check OEM unlock box, also enable USB debugging
do fastboot boot fastboot boot .\twrp-3.2.3-x_blu_spark_v9.86_op6.img
adb push OOS Beta 6 zip and twrp zip
Wipe System/Data/ART & Dalvik Cache
Install OOS Beta 6 zip and twrp zip
Boot to recovery
Wipe System/Data/ART & Dalvik Cache
Install OOS Beta 6 zip and twrp zip
After these steps I have TWRP on both slots with OOS Beta 6. If you followed these steps and your result differs the unfortunately I can't figure out what is wrong
Hey! Finally, I managed to get TWRP and root. I did the below by following a YouTube video;
1) Enable "USB debugging" and "OEM unlock" in "Developer Options"
2) Unlock bootloader using a command on PC
3) Flash "blu_spark 85 v2.img" using PC
4) Boot into recovery on the phone and flash the blu_spark 85 zip file.
5) Flash Magisk 17.1
Done. I finally got this to work
