[Q] Stuck on boot! Any Help?

Would anybody be able to provide any insight on how i could fix my s3 that appears to be stuck on boot? i received my warranty fixed device from samsung today and upon rerooting it, i forgot to unlock the bootloader i then went to the "Verizon has detected unauthorized software" screen. After which, I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030 hoping to get back to stock. But after following these directions, the phone boots to a Samsung custom (Unlocked) screen and then it goes to the galaxy s3 boot screen and remains there, if anybody could provide any assistance, that would be awesome. I'd just hate to get laughed at if i bring it into a verizon store. thanks and happy holidays.
Boot into recovery and do a factory reset.

i was on vrbmf1 when i got it back but ive been trying to flash back to the stock to hopefully get out of the "unauthorized software" screen. when i tried to wipe system and data and then restart from the stock recovery menu, i got an error message saying that the directory /system didnt exist, yet ive tried flashing back to stock twice and both processes finished through odin

Are you 100% sure you was on MF1 and Verizon did not ship it to you with 4.3.
If you was on MF1 Odin should flash fine and resolve any issues. If you was on 4.3 than you have issues if you ran Odin

1000% sure that it was 4.1.2 and MF1 because it was trying to push an OTA update that i kept canceling. should i attempt reflashing through odin again? and if so could you link me to something specifically i should flash and possibly some instructions because ive been without a phone for 2 weeks and wouldnt like to wait til october for another one....
thanks

If it was fixed or replaced by Samsung they usually update to newest software before returning it. If it was on 4.3 and you tried to unlock it is now bricked beyond our ability to repair at this time. Can't unlock, flash custom recovery or downgrade to 4.1.2 or lower or it will brick. If was on 4.1.2 just need to Odin stock tar.If it hangs then a Factory reset in stock recovery will usually fix it. Need more info on what build you were actually on when started.

im completely sure it was NOT 4.3 though. it flashed fine when i ran this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439 i just forgot to flash the bootloader unlock through recovery so then i tried reflashing stock and now im here. and where could you point me in the direction of a stock tar and some instructions because ive been using the ones on the original thread i linked with no luck
Remove .tar from zip and flash in Odin. If was on MF! it should fix with no more than a factory reset in stock recovery. Then run Beans casual to reroot and unlock.

Boot into download mode and on the screen where the option to continue or restart phone, choose to restart your phone. This worked for me just this morning, for some reason it bypasses the check.

im trying with the stock MF1 file now. left everything checked normally as it always is in odin lets see how this goes. would it be common for a boot to hang on the "Samsung Galaxy s3" screen coming off of odin?

Yes. It is common for it to reboot but bootloop. Pull battery and then boot into stock recovery and factory reset. Then it should boot.

You flashed a ROM for a different tablet or phone on your tablet?
No. I've just used a ROM downloaded from sammobile prepared for P5100.
I read that it may be caused by damaged kernel...
Samsung was not able to handle this case - they advised me that I have to contact the offical techincal support.

What is the model number of your tablet? It can be found stamped on the back of the tablet.
As I have already mentioned it is GT-P5100

Sorry about that. I thought you were saying you flashed a P5100 ROM, but it wasn't clear if that is your model number. You are saying you have a white screen during booting. Do you mean that it shows a white screen and does not boot or that it does boot, but with a white screen instead of the regular animation?
Can you still boot into download mode? Or recovery?
It means that my Galaxy Tab is starting normally but with white screen. The same situation has place when I try to boot it in recovery or download mode.
So, I can't see anything on the screen even in recovery or download.

Starting normally meaning you can get into the system and use applications? Or you think it starts, but cannot tell due to a white screen?
Based on the sounds which were place during the booting the device (before configuring the device) I know that the tablet is turned on properly.
Accordingly, the device is working but I can't see anything on the screen because it is still white. I suppose that it is caused by the CM.

Assuming that you can get it into download mode, you could try flashing stock through Odin again. Idk if it will help. Standard disclaimers apply.
jrc2
So....
I have tried to do these steps numerous times. Unfortunately it is not working on my device. Today I found info that I can try to flash my tab with PIT file.

Be VERY careful when messing with PIT files and repartitioning. I would recommend using Heimdall to do this, rather than Odin. I have seen numerous people brick when attempting this.

But the most important thing is question that if the PIT file would solve my problem ?

TWRP issue SM-T580

Hi I have a SM-T580 Samsung tab A 2016 and have installed TWRP onto it, I tried to root my device using supersu, this obviously failed because my device won't boot it is android 6.0.1 and just hangs at the logo fading part and never fully boots, how can I reinstall android on my device? Can I reinstall using TWRP? If so how?
I have heard if I somehow get a stock image I can restore to that?
I'm starting to get really worried I've broken my tablet, any help is greatly appreciated

HELP I have bricked by S7 Exynos

Hi
I have a massive problem with my S7.
I wanted to install TWRP on my phone so I could take a backup of my MM setup before upgrading to Nougat.
Once I installed TWRP I found that due to encryption on the device I couldnt take a backup. I then tried to reboot my phone but now it gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo and just boot loops.
Can anyone help or suggest how to get my phone working again?
Cheers

I had the exact same problem. In your case I just booted my device into "Download Mode" and flashed the stock Nougat from the Sammobile page using Odin (download the appropriate version for your device) [in Download Mode it should say what version of Galaxy S7 you have, for example G930-5F/FD and so on] then you are good to go.
P.S. Don't worry, that is just a softbrick it's nothing to really worry about.
EDIT: If you want an simpler process, try to flash the stock rom using Smart Switch on your computer. Both methods worked for me

Cannot help much if there is no details on what your phone bootloader/firmware versions were before flash, and what versions you were trying to flash.
If you were flashing a lower version of BL to your phone, you can flash your original firmware back to your phone.
If you were flashing a higher version of BL, you will need to find a new version of BL/firmware , such as the latest U firmware, to Odin into the phone..

Read this thread

Since you mentioned a Google account, just make sure you know the user and password of the last working Google account on the phone. Sounds like you tried to flash a firmware with an older bootloader.
And if you don't know that info and were trying to carrier unlock it via some back door method, don't follow the thread that I just linked.

no error message it flashes successfully with odin but when the phone itself starts to update the firmware after 33% it just reboots then fails. then i get a error screen and well no recovery. no one locally seemed to be able to fix the issue either so update: i sent it away to try to fix. https://imgur.com/a/knxKIKM
