Question Widevine changes - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

My Poco X3 Pro used to have a widevine L1 certificate, but now it shows only Widevine L3. I dont really know what cause it, is it because of software update, or perhaps an app update cause it to switch from L1 to L3. Can somebody help?
thx

The exact same thing happens to me, I have a poco x3 pro and I used to have widevine l1 and now suddenly I have widevine l3, I have the global version and my software version is 12.0.6.0, I took my device to technical service and they did not fix it, apparently It is a software problem and needs to be fixed with an update, I am waiting for another update to arrive to see if it solves it

have you tried to factory reset it? im at MIUI global 12.0.3.0

In the official xiaomi technical service they even reflash my device and that did not solve it either, apparently it is necessary that a new update correct the problem, for now there is no other solution, if a new update does not correct the widevine problem I will request a change of device

alright, it seems like there's no other solution other than waiting for the next software update

I am on EU ron and it is L1. Miui 12.0.5

I face this exact issue on my poco x3 pro in miui 12.0.5.0 idk from when but i noticed it yesterday, and looking for solution i talked to customer services they told me to wait for new update

* Cetain devices have been losing their Widevine L1 certificate randomly. The reason is unknown to us, so don't bother asking.
* Certificate renewal is done via Settings -> Passwords & security -> Fingerprint unlock -> Fingerprint payments -> Widevine (L1)

Maybe i should wait for update as Fingerprint payments-->FIDOI and IFAA
(no widevine L1 option)

Devices supporting Widevine L1 certificate renewal officially:
POCO X3 Pro (vayu) [Stable V12.5.1.0.RJUMIXM+]
If your device haven't officially receive MIUI update to 12.5.1.0, try Xiaomi.eu

Unlock bootloader to flash other region ROMs.
If you don't want to unlock bootloader, then complain to Xiaomi customer service and tell them to deal with it.

Yeah i am talking to the customer support, feedback(getting no reply here),and dialing their mentioned no. But they wont tell me when new software update will cone to India.
And unlocking bootloader voids the warranty right?

Very few users have this bug, possibly a hardware problem.
Reset the phone.
or
Give it back to him.
or
Unlock the bootloader and install the latest global stock rom.
If the bug still exists you will be sure it is a hardware problem.

Yes playstore certified. The model is 220116PG.
The operating system is MIUI Global 13.0.9 . Android version 11 RKQI 211001 001
I have looked at an older POCO X3 phone that runs Netflix without issues so maybe it is a problem with the later MIUI operating system . The operating system on olders X3 model is MIUI Global 13.0.2, android 12 but maybe someone can also help why an earlier MIUI system is based on android 12 whereas the later MIUI system is based on Android 11.

You have a VEUX EEA version which seems to stay on A11 unlike the global version which is in A12.

Try to reset the phone or
Either you wait for the update or you unlock the bootloader to install the global version.
But Netflix works normally with older versions.
Try settings/security status/google play update

DRM Info - Apps on Google Play
Shows DRM information (Widevine, PlayReady, etc) from Android DRM Framework
play.google.com
You can check this app, widevine is the drm that used by most of the major stream services like netflix and amazon prime, level 1 is the hignest and enables 4k playback and level 3 is the default means no hardware backed solution found thus only supports 720p playback

L3 only
Did you lock the bootloader? It's one of the common cases of losing L1
There's however risk of locking down bootloader without running stock image(yours should be fine, but risk aware)

lol it not good idea to relock,i cant try this. i also think unlocked bootloader make it l3, i have installed magisk and got root permission, so my devices not suitable for drm
can i install this over the 607z firmware on my tb-j607f?
edit.. i tryed, and it didn`t work :/ maybe because the rom is on lower android version, is there a way around this?

There are only 2 models, CN or Global.
The Global version has an EEA or Global rom depending on the seller and/or the country of purchase.
ok so I have a 2201123g bought in Europe, I want to flash back the original rom, should I do global or eea? Also if you do clean and lock you lock the bootloader? I want to relock without bricking it or anything

Question Back to stock, how to make sure I flash the correct ROM?

Hello everyone, I may be planning to resell my Poco X3 Pro, and for that, I want to reflash the stock ROM and relock the bootloader.
As I understand it, there are different ROM versions, India, Global, EU, etc, and flashing the wrong ROM and unlocking will brick the device, is that correct? I bought my phone from Iran, but as Xiaomi phones are often imported unofficially, the actual version of the phone may not be clear. Is there any way I can find out the stock ROM version so I can relock the bootloader? I still have the box, btw.
Thanks.
You can Figure out which Version you have by Baseband Version in System settings.
No clue which one is which though^^

As long as the ROM version is the same or newer than Firmware you won't have any problems.

The actual warranty should be according to where it is from.
In general, Global is 1 year, while Europe is 2 years. UK is also 2 years.
Could ask Xiaomi/POCO about it.

The non-official website could show the information probably due to the "Mi-Activation lock: On", in order for the "Find my device" function to work.

Just flash Global ROM and lock bootloader. It doesn't matter the region.
Download original ROM from here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/vayu/
Use fastboot rom, don't use recovery.
