Question Back to stock, how to make sure I flash the correct ROM? - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hello everyone, I may be planning to resell my Poco X3 Pro, and for that, I want to reflash the stock ROM and relock the bootloader.
As I understand it, there are different ROM versions, India, Global, EU, etc, and flashing the wrong ROM and unlocking will brick the device, is that correct? I bought my phone from Iran, but as Xiaomi phones are often imported unofficially, the actual version of the phone may not be clear. Is there any way I can find out the stock ROM version so I can relock the bootloader? I still have the box, btw.
Thanks.

You can Figure out which Version you have by Baseband Version in System settings.
No clue which one is which though^^

As long as the ROM version is the same or newer than Firmware you won't have any problems.

Purchase Country: Germany
The actual warranty should be according to where it is from.
In general, Global is 1 year, while Europe is 2 years. UK is also 2 years.
Could ask Xiaomi/POCO about it.
Mi Deutschland
www.mi.com
POCO Deutschland
www.po.co
POCO Deutschland
www.po.co
The non-official website could show the information probably due to the "Mi-Activation lock: On", in order for the "Find my device" function to work.
You can log into Official Xiaomi and check and or un-link

Just flash Global ROM and lock bootloader. It doesn't matter the region.
Download original ROM from here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/vayu/
Use fastboot rom, don't use recovery.

BLU unlock allowed Xperia XZ AU vs Docomo so-01j

So as far as I know, ALL docomo XZ SO-01J come with status "bootloader unlock allowed: NO", and I have yet to see otherwise.
But is there a difference to the AU version, or the Softbank? Is either more likely to be unlockable? anybody have experience in that regard?
I also want to do a root or rom installation
my DoCoMo unlock status yes, but im afraid for Root or install global rom. Is it root and global install or custom ROM effect on the SIM card locked?

OK so Ill just answer my own post. It really depends on where you bought the phone and how it was unlocked.
If it was unlocked by just putting in the unlock code generated from a provider, Bootloader will still be locked, BLU status NO
If it was unlocked through flashmode and the code input that way (I have not done it but you get the idea), It should be able to unlock UBL YES
Most sellers are lazy basically, and just punch in the code and be done with it. there are sellers who do it the hard way, but you have to ask around. I asked around 15 sellers, and 3 of them said it was, 1 wasn't unlockable after all (i returned the unit), another one was, and the 3rd was a docomo but I havent ordered a unit.
Docomos can be unlockable, BUT they have some hardware / low level software quirks, and can be buggy when flashing non-docomo ROMs
Au and Softbank are pretty much the same, but I heard (cant confirm so far) NFC is not working on Softbank phones after flashing global ROMs, on AU it should work.

I would test flash an official docomo ROM just to be comfortable with the process and knowing "that it works, and you have to downgrade to a marshmellow official ROM first anyway for a TA backup. then you can most likely go back in case something doesnt work.

I can confirm that NFC doesn't work anymore on 601SO after flashing global rom. Not a big deal though as I doesn't use NFC often.

install Orange fox recovery, boot into it, look at the initial screen, find out the row with text fingerprint: there you can see your actual fw and QJGMIXM is what you should look for and flash firmware with tag QJGMIXM (or whatever you'll see there on your phone)

Just to clarify this: ThatDamnFrog seems to be confusing the custom Xiaomi.eu ROM with the European version of the official MIUI stock ROM.
The European official ROM (marked with a QJGEUXM code) is different from the real MIUI global ROM (which has a QJGMIXM code).

[HELP] Converting OP 7 Pro 5G Sprint to International Variant

I've a OP 7 Pro Sprint Variant, Model: GM1925. When I was in stock ROM, the latest build was 10.0.7.GM25CC. Few weeks earlier, I followed the guide here and was able to successfully convert it to EU firmware. The reason behind this conversion is to get the latest OOS updates asap. But it seems the updates for 5G phones are lagging far behind. My phone is running on 10.0.11.GM27BA currently.
Further, I tried to convert my phone to International variant by following the guide here but failed. More specifically, it stopped after 'Param preload'.
Now, I badly want to convert it to International variant. I don't mind if losing 5G would enable dual sim functionality on my phone.
Is there any way?
[I've attached a screenshot of my phone's About section]

Late on the replies but converting to international is impossible due to different partitions. Dual sim WILL NEVER WORK because we don't have the config files for dsds on the X50 modem. Because of the 5G, updates are behind and will be for basically the phone's EOL. Custom roms are a grey area as modem needs porting and rotation needs fixing, and Android 11 custom roms won't work (due to no modem functionality)

The warranty is gone, but it's ok.
I have relock the device with fastboot, the name of the rom seems legit.
My question : is there still any security risk ?
Thanks
Unless it was specifically advertised as unlocked and you specifically bought it for that reason, I'd reset the phone with an MSM tool or similar.
Maybe I'm just OCD. I factory reset every electronic device I buy before setting it up.

Having a device's bootloader locked simply means that device only will boot into / run Stock ROM: This has nothing to do with whether Android is safe or not.

thanks, yes i have relock the device myself.
But is it sure that it’s now using the original stock rom ? And not a hacked one ?
YES, because original Stock ROM is signed by manufacturer: the bootloader verifies this signature.
Thanks a lot.

There are only 2 models, CN or Global.
The Global version has an EEA or Global rom depending on the seller and/or the country of purchase.
