LineageOS how to get out of development settings? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Learning LineageOS on my S6, I tried to tap few times on the build number to go in development settings.
I had a look, but as I am afraid to break the config, I want to go in normal usage. I tried to reboot but I am still in this mode.
How to go back in standard user mode?
BTW, what is this mode "development settings"? I didn't see what differences.
Another easy question: Where/how I can see the exact built number of LineageOS to compare with monthly update?
Sorry for the newbie questions... but I want to learn.
Thanks for you help.

Android is new for me, I need to learn a lot of new concepts and tools.
Question:
When I got to setting > About phone > Build number and I tap few time on it I got the message:
"No need, you have already enabled development settings".
Is ti the same that "Developer Options"?
If yes, where in LineageOS I can see the "Developer Options" windows/features?

lol tapping 5 times on build number gives you developer options yes, and it depends on your rom whether you can reverse that or not. for example, on HavocOS (android 10 version) the Titlebar of that menu has an on-off switch in it which disables the menu again.
The process of unlocking the developer options only adds the menu option to your settings, it doesn't alter any of the settings when you tap build 5 times so if LineageOS doesn't have that on-off switch it really isn't a problem, just stay out of the developer options menu if you are afraid you'll mess your phone up by messing in there
edit: i just thought of this, it's quite drastic to do this just to hide the menu again, but I think that if you would dirty flash a rom it'll hide the menu again without losing your apps and stuff. (a dirty flash is a flash without wiping anything beforehand, simply done by booting into TWRP and directly installing the zip eventually followed by magisk if you are rooted and want to stay rooted)

Using Cyanogen Mod (Question)

Hey Everyone,
Alright, I know this is a noob move, but I didn't backup my google apps or anything like that. I used the Settings -> About Phone -> CyanogenMod Update and installed cm-10.1.0.3. I thought it was some automated love machine, and everything would come out alright. But I lost my Gapps. Now I have the latest gapps for my phone. But I cannot get Rom Manager to install and I cannot reboot into any kind of recovery mode.
Would love some help, thank you all so much!

adb reboot recovery
or
enable the advanced reboot settings in the developer settings menu item.
To do that, you'll need to enable the developer settings by going to Settings->About Phone and clicking the build number 7 times.

Actually thank you so much, I was able to reboot into recovery, I have also installed the Gapps back! This is a great way to end a stressful thing! LOL Thanks again!
I really love CM, but the bluetooth issue is killing me since I use bluetooth everyday. Anyone tried to go back to TW based ROM after CM? Should I do anything special to get around the profiles/SDCARD 0 created by 4.2.2 or just flash normally?

I would just wipe and flash like normal, then after you're all done move the files u want to keep out of the "0" folder. I read somewhere that you can safely do that. So just keep what u want and delete the rest. That's how I would go about doing it. Might want to try the PAC ROM. Don't know if the BT thing is fixed. Prolly not since it's cm based.

No Service On Atrix 2 When Installing Custom Roms

Sorry if Im not posting correctly, I've used this site a lot for research and whatnot, but couldn't find anything on this topic. So whenever I install a custom rom that is not ICS, I have no data, and barely any service. I installed NUMA and that has been working great, but whenever I try any Jellybean Roms (Carbon, Avatar, Pac-ROM) I have the issue with data and service. I have no idea if I'm installing them wrong or anything, what I usually have done to install roms (and it works with ICS), is to open the Boot Menu Manager while the phone is booting, going into recovery, then preform a factory reset, after that I install the Rom from ZIP. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, it'll be greatly appreciated.
Check the apn settings
Settings > wireless and networks (click more) mobile networks > access point names
If this correct, try to disable sim card pin lock on stock ics system

When I checked the Access Point Names list, there is nothing in the list, should there be something?
Sorry if I sound stupid, I am completely new to rooting.

Really? I did put CM10.2 on my phone, really like it. So I checked your recommendations on the phone. Yeah, just what you said, root adb and applications. My phone is enabled and I never lost root on it. You get a Thanks.
Now how to update to 10.2 on the Tab. CWM only lets you flash one zip at a time where Safe Strap will allow you to stack the rom and gapps. I got CWM Pro and don't see anyway to flash more than one zip at a time and this gave a system 7 error. The update is there in about phone, if I allow unstable and nightlies, but installing it dumps me into recovery. Safe Strap on phone, piece of cake. One zip at a time in ClockworkMod, not so easy. Any ideas?
Awesome. I went into CWM Rom Manager and decided to use TWRP instead of CWM, used the update in Settings/About Phone/Update. It did work! But everything is crashing, I had to install new gapps. So I went back and flashed the new gapps. Problem is, playstore is broke, errors everytime it tries to install or update, would not connect at all until new gapps. Wiped data, still not working right. Others had this problem, any ideas on how to restore playstore functionality? Thanks, you guys rock!
Found the answer here, and it works!
I tried everything form everywhere. Nothing worked until I did this. Following the steps below.
RPC:AEC:0 error is known as CPU/RAM/Device/Identity failure.
Only possible way you can follow to get rid off this error is,
Go to settings ? application ? Play Store ? Clear Data & Clear Cache.
Go to accounts ? Google ? Remove account.
Reboot device.

thanks
Thanks for reply.
The problem is that i always do unroot and try to encrypt the phone, maybe i should have said that earlier, it dosent work "always" sometimes, and sometimes not.
The latest build dosent work at all, if the phone vibrate directly after you activated the option encryption, then you already know that its failed!
The only kernel i manage to get to work (earlier release) is 1.8.1.
The latest i have been trying is 1.9.3, and as always ONLY the original kernel "works" but this time it dosent work at all, well, it works but the encryption gives status FAILED, reset phone! and some other messages about stopping this and that, so something is wrong.
I have changed rom totaly now until SuperMan rom is fixed, i like that rom but its to much of problems, and encryption is what i has as number one priority!
Regards

Few dumb questions about OOS Android P

I've updated my OP6 to latest OOS with Android P.
Everything are ok but i cannot find setting for reboot option. In previous OOS, when i press reboot, there're more reboot options for Recovery or Bootload..
And screen brightness is darker, in previous OOS i just need to use 50% of brightness, but now i have to slide to 85%
1. yes, boot menu have shrunk for some reason.
2. brightness bar have just reworked a little bit, not a big deal though.

Google has never supported those extra boot options.
You have to be rooted and have a rom that does.
Alternatively, you need to be rooted and use an app that does it.

Android Pie does not support but OOS does, right?
Because previous OOS had those option, hope OP dev team add this feature in next release.

I stand corrected.
I will enjoy them.
My understanding is that pie doesn't require wiping cache.
U can ckear the cache from individual apps.
if you have magisk, it would never be the problem
