Starting today, i'll just upload the firmware if it has a change in it.
So you know there's no need to update the firmware if there's no change in it, save the hassle.
Tips :
* I've added checksum file for each firmware-only files in google drive, so you guys can see what's changed on every firmware-only release.
* If you experience sim card not detected after flashing firmware, don't worry, it's normal. do this, plug out and plug in your sim card tray, and restart your device.

yep i believe the Miui10 is in Alpha and currently being tested by a closed group of users. we should see public Beta releases towards the end of June.
Im just curious if there is any difference in battery consumption to previous version of MIUI.
I've tried it a couple of days ago. There are some visual changes like new notifications panel UI, recents UI, In-call UI etc. A bit more IOS-ish as some say.
First of all, if you consider flashing it;
- You need the Raupe/Blunden twrp to flash it, other recoveries end up with error 7.
- After flashing this build; twrp will ask for a decrypt password and no password will be correct. So your internal storage won't be mounted on twrp no way to fix it at the moment.
- Magisk 16.4 is able to root it, don't know about previous ones.
- If you consider flashing other roms, you have to do factory reset(format data) to get your internal be able to mount on twrp again.
- It doesn't have google apps as it's China specific, so you need to install google apps manually by Google installer apk or there are zip files for miui 10 ported gapps which give force closes randomly.
- Can be a daily driver since all is working.
- Xposed won't work.
Other than these hick ups, it's good initial build. Fast and smooth, can't tell about battery life since I haven't used it for a long time. There are secondary releases(8.6.5) for some devices so can be around for Mix too. Cheers.

I'm willing to give this a shot, thanks for the input ??
Ok trying it now and everything seems to be working good. A little laggy at the moment so I'm just letting it set in. I was hoping the camera would've gotten updated but same old crappy camera software from previous MIUI firmware. Hopefully when they do release the final version we'll get a updated camera but all in all this is a keeper till we get updated version on here, hopefully...

Ok going through settings and as far as I can tell I don't see face unlock feature. I highly doubt the mix will get seeing as how old it is now, I never use it anyway on other devices so it's not a big deal to me. Everything is running very smooth and fast, I'm liking the Android P style look a lot, more than how it looks on the pixel but that's just me.

You just cancel it and internal storage will be unable to use on twrp. If you flash other things, you need to do it by an OTG.

Oh yes yes, I always use OTG just in case. Thanks for the info.
I installed it, but I keep loosing the recovery, when I reboot it goes to the Miui recovery.
Is there a way to disable the factory recovery overwriting the twrp.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks.

i think you should flash this file in twrp :
https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/
after that the recovery shouldn't get replaced anymore.

I'm using mi5s and feel like want to pull trigger on this mix3. I know right now there still no global rom or aosp/los support as yet, but soon there will be.
The question is, if i buy the china version can i flash with global rom when it release?
Also, once aosp/los available, will it be a problem to flash on unlocked china also?

you have to manually change the settings to make notifications appear. Goto Settings/Installed Apps/ and click on each app you need notifications from. When you click on the App, ensure "Autostart" is enabled and click on permissions and allow the settings you see fit. After that you may have to back out once and modify the battery saver settings. I'm not sure if restarting your device is necessary after you modify the settings

A bit off-topic, but do you experience issues on your GSI installation? E.g. you're able to receive SMS when LTE is on or you could use contactless payments on Google Pay?
Maybe I've been having bad luck with terminals but I couldn't get Pay to trigger payment on a few stores I've tried. NFC by itself works, and using an NFC reader app with my other phone it triggers just fine.

I dunno what y'all talking about this update has improved so much for me in terms of usability and smooth operation
For manual installing April update, it's suggest to upgrade the platform-tool from https://developer.android.com/studio...orm-tools.html or the upgrade process will fail ....
Also, don't know why after upgrade (from factory image without -W option), Magisk v19 can no longer root the system... (TWRP installation is success but when reboot into the system it's not rooted). <--Edit: I uninstalled the Magisk Manager apk and reinstall and got root again!
Anyone else has same problem?

Installed April update with no-wipe. Followed up with TWRP 3.2.3-3, Magisk v19.0 and Kiriskura kernel 2.1.3

If you find a solution, I'd like to know it. My wife's P3 has this issue. In fact, she had the same issue on her OG Pixel. I do not have the issue on my 3 XL nor did I have it on my OG XL. There is some info here and on reddit, but mostly it is folk throwing $hit against the wall. Google has recommended full wipe as well as deleting and adding the profile back, but I am not going to bother unless that is a known fix.

Hi all,
Following #IO19, Google released the 3rd developer preview of Android Q, available for a bunch of devices (you can check them all here), including our beloved OnePlus 6.
You can download the ROM here, but be aware this is still a beta, and also, a data wiping is mandatory.
Happy flashing !

CAUTION: the Q beta is too buggy.
1)It doesn't let you in after reboot and asks for PIN and doesn't accept the correct PIN, something to do with secure boot.
2)DASH charging not working, charges at super slow rate 20% per hour.
3) Some people reported that the fingerprint screenlock overlays on regular screen continuously.
I'll update any more bugs, in the meanwhile I'm going back to stable Pie.

So anyone know if the launcher is different? Since it has dock in recents, is it possible to get the apk and use Quickswitch to get that recents?

I had no problems with the SIM card pin, but fingerprint scanner is broken and apps that uses Google for log in crashes. Lots of small buys . Not for daily use.

You have to reset the phone by going to recovery and erase everything, reboot and restart the setting up process. Don't restore anything from Google account, just reach where you have home/launcher.
Copy the downgrade file zip to root directory and then go to upgrade and select local update and select the downgrade file, let it complete and reboot and start the setup process again and u are back to pie.

Can you flash with twrp and magisk since the new release supports the Q Beta 3? I would assume it would go just fine with a reset (data wiping) in the mix respectively and prob both slots just to be on the safe side
I flashed it twice now with wiping everything including cache, system and sd, but I really can't recommend it to anyone.
1. Settings -> Display -> Adaptive brigtness = Crash
2. Setting -> System -> Gestures -> * Any option * = Crash
2. Hangs on reboot, have to hold powerbutton
3. Fingerprintreader completely broken
4. Couldn't update google apps like Chrome etc, but only on the first install - solved by the second installation
5. Battery drain - like 20% in 30 minutes
for the first hour that I added my Google contacts did not sync up on the device, tapping the fingerprint sensor would turn off display rather than unlock it. plus all the other bugs and crashes that everyone else encountered

I knew those were the steps but the Q preview made it difficult. When trying to erase everything, there was no "yes" option. I accidentally hit power button when the warning and "continue" was highlighted and it reset, erasing the pin.
After that I tried multiple times to transfer the recovery rollback via usb cable or Bluetooth transfer from another phone. The archive was always corrupted / would not rollback. I had to download directly to the device from oneplus before it would work.

Excellent mod, I had been looking for it for 5t. Thank you so much for the work done. Do you plan to continue updating the module in the future for the new OB versions of OOS?

There is a module called Magisk Manager for recovery Mode(MM) and can remove particular module from twrp ternminal.
Else flash uninstall Magisk zip and completely remove Magisk and reinstall magisk again.
But bootloop with this module usually comes after removing the module. In that case u have to use the zip i provided.
Maybe goes without saying but remove any screen lock security before, I had to do a full reinstall
Well this mod works but has a few drawbacks as it fallows:
It tempers with the /system and any banking app won't work after install even with magisk hide.
No deepslepp so it drains a lot of battery.
The display menu in settings crashes
If you want to uninstall you have to remove module from magisk manager or from magisk manager for recovery, and install bootloop fix, same steps if it works or not on the version of oos you have installed
I've rebuilt the this awesome mod for the latest oos release 9.0.7, according to paphonb's github repo. The build include screen on/off animation and AOSP-style charging indication, and have a different magisk id so please uninstall previous AOD mods. Anyway here it is.
