[FIRMWARE-ONLY][MI MIX][LITHIUM] Developer ROM Firmware - Xiaomi Mi MIX ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other

News :
Starting today, i'll just upload the firmware if it has a change in it.
So you know there's no need to update the firmware if there's no change in it, save the hassle.
Tips :
* I've added checksum file for each firmware-only files in google drive, so you guys can see what's changed on every firmware-only release.
* If you experience sim card not detected after flashing firmware, don't worry, it's normal. do this, plug out and plug in your sim card tray, and restart your device.

yep i believe the Miui10 is in Alpha and currently being tested by a closed group of users. we should see public Beta releases towards the end of June.
Im just curious if there is any difference in battery consumption to previous version of MIUI.

I've tried it a couple of days ago. There are some visual changes like new notifications panel UI, recents UI, In-call UI etc. A bit more IOS-ish as some say.
First of all, if you consider flashing it;
- You need the Raupe/Blunden twrp to flash it, other recoveries end up with error 7.
- After flashing this build; twrp will ask for a decrypt password and no password will be correct. So your internal storage won't be mounted on twrp no way to fix it at the moment.
- Magisk 16.4 is able to root it, don't know about previous ones.
- If you consider flashing other roms, you have to do factory reset(format data) to get your internal be able to mount on twrp again.
- It doesn't have google apps as it's China specific, so you need to install google apps manually by Google installer apk or there are zip files for miui 10 ported gapps which give force closes randomly.
- Can be a daily driver since all is working.
- Xposed won't work.
Other than these hick ups, it's good initial build. Fast and smooth, can't tell about battery life since I haven't used it for a long time. There are secondary releases(8.6.5) for some devices so can be around for Mix too. Cheers.

I'm willing to give this a shot, thanks for the input ??

Ok trying it now and everything seems to be working good. A little laggy at the moment so I'm just letting it set in. I was hoping the camera would've gotten updated but same old crappy camera software from previous MIUI firmware. Hopefully when they do release the final version we'll get a updated camera but all in all this is a keeper till we get updated version on here, hopefully...

Haven't tried that but I'll look into it today and report back.

Ok going through settings and as far as I can tell I don't see face unlock feature. I highly doubt the mix will get seeing as how old it is now, I never use it anyway on other devices so it's not a big deal to me. Everything is running very smooth and fast, I'm liking the Android P style look a lot, more than how it looks on the pixel but that's just me.

You just cancel it and internal storage will be unable to use on twrp. If you flash other things, you need to do it by an OTG.

Oh yes yes, I always use OTG just in case. Thanks for the info.

I installed it, but I keep loosing the recovery, when I reboot it goes to the Miui recovery.
Is there a way to disable the factory recovery overwriting the twrp.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks.

i think you should flash this file in twrp :
https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/
after that the recovery shouldn't get replaced anymore.

That's weird I don't have any issues seeing my storage in TWRP, everything works.

i can't remember the detail, but i once encountered this too, and i read that something about F2FS not supported or whatsoever.

Apps seem to be reset after cyanogenmod 13 update

I flashed cyanogenmod 13 and gapps for marshmallow (from 6.12.2015) and it boots fine. All apps are installed, as before the update.
BUT
When I start any of these apps they seem to be reset to default as if they are newly installed. For example Threema starts setup process after start.
App data is still present on internal storage (did not wipe), but apps do not seem to have access to any of this data.
Can anyone help what I can try to get the apps back to work with previous data?
Thankful for any help!

At first, try flashing CM13 after a full wipe or try using another rom since CM13 could be buggy.

Thanks for the reply! But well, the phone is working, just the apps are behaving as if they are newly installed ... So a full wipe would not really help as is only deletes more data. The question is why do the apps "think" they are not already set up?

Full ACK, but data is still available on the internal storage, but the apps do not notice this?
AND this one here (not allowed ot post links... so a missing w at the beginning ww.cyanogenmod.org/blog/a-marshmallowy-cm) says dirty flash from 12.1 to 13 is okay and if the cyanogenmod updater shows cm13 as availabe for update ...
EDIT: Maybe this was a missing info, but it was "just" a normal update via cyanogenmod updater, not a real flash of a new rom!

What do you want me to say? It's always better to full wipe when upgrading to a new Android version. Period.
Moreover, CM13 nightlies are buggy. There are important bugs and fixes everyday. Make a nandroid backup and try from scratch or try another nightly or another custom rom. There's nothing else to say IMO.

Just thought it could be possibly just a permission problem, a missing symlink or anything else that could be fixed manually.

By far the smoothest custom ROM I have tried for this phone and I have tried almost all of them. Battery life seems every bit as good as when it was stock too which I presume is down to the stock kernel.
Just seen this no major issues and been using since released. Very good now what's next....

Great job. I was using resurrection rom and it was pretty neat, but decided to dirty flash this one and it looks great so far, really smooth, very responsive and clean, really clean, pure CM. To soon for me to check the battery, but will post soon... Good job!

Thanx, your doing a great job with your ROMs I imagine it's hard work keeping up with so many but keep up with it the best you can as your giving people options to chose from.
Hey there. Is there any chance you can grab resurrection rom for this device, make it work with this kernel and improve it overall?
Hi, quick question, is the GApps package the arm or the arm64 (I though this phone had a 64 bit CPU)?
Also, is this the site to download them? Seems like it, but I never used a GApps package.
Thanks in advance,
Solid

You want the 32 bit version as the rom is 32 bits too. And yes, that's the site, just pick whichever suits your needs.

Thanks, the rom works OK, but kernel glitches a little bit, and overall is not as smooth and fluid as this one, but I miss all the custom options.
do i need to come from official rom before flashing this? coming from gitanillo's cm i cant even finish setting up my account, it always freezes and reboots. tried with no wipe and wipe.
Just do factory reset and flash this Rom

i guess there's something wrong with my phone, finally managed to sign in (although i had to opt out of sync contacts etc otherwise it wouldnt advance). now theres a notification saying that i almost dont have space in system and everything fails to install doesnt matter if from play store or just some apk. i already wiped everything but the internal storage i guess ill try that later
how can i skip the account setup at the beginning? is there anything i can delete from the rom to avoid the initial setup?
wiped literally everything, sync still fails, still saying not enough free space, still cant install anything. anything i can do?

Try deleting or moving to PC/external SD card files from the internal storage, that should solve storage problems as it's probably full from backups/ downloads & to skip account setup at 1st boot I just skip connecting to WiFi & when asked to use mobile data turn data off then it can't connect so it just Finish's up

You are right. There is not really much stuff concerning the interface. Only other goodie i have seen is the customizable lock screen clock. I wonder why they mentioned this one in the change notes but did not mention the dark mode (which, i am sure, more people are interested in).
PS: Can it be they fixed the buggy auto brightness? It seems to me, as if it works better now, but i am not really sure, cause i did not use it much before.

Hi !
Anyone else having problems with freezing phone on V10.3 versions?
Starting with V10.3.2 I had random freezes (mostly seen when updating apps), so I reverted back to V10.2.2
Now I upgraded to V10.3.3 and problems with freezes are back again.
Does anyone else have these problems or anybody knows a solution?
(freezing meens only reboot possible to get it working again)
thx

I cannot root this version. Tried "fastboot flash recovery" many times but all I got is failure. Anyone?

I did a full wipe, and when I initially updated the apps included in this ROM, I had a freeze (no other apps installed)
I do not think the problem is hardware related, because I've never seen this behaviour on V10.2...

Which steps did you follow?
if i only use twrp (fastboot flash recovery), it gets deleted on reboot
if i inmediately reboot into twrp and isntall magisk, i get boot looped (rescue party gets me back into twrp, in this case twrp does not get deleted)
I tried unofficial 3.3.1.0 and does not work either

I downloaded with MIUI updater, rebooted to TWRP and installed ROM. Can't remember if I installed from internal storage or from OTG.
(tried a lot of things due to problems with this ROM).
If file gets deleted, you can try to copy it from /sdcard/downloaded_rom to any other folder (e.g. /sdcard) after download (and before reboot), reboot and install from there.
Afterwards I hat to install TWRP and Magisk again

Does Magisk works with this update?
Yes magisk 20.3 work . You must flash magisk if you want twrp. Otherwise the rom flash recovery when it boot and twrp disappear
I am having some problems with this update.
Sometimes(much times) i am having problems with lag on google photos and chrome (on photos search).
When i'm casting something on chromecast i can't change the cellphone volume (the blue bar doesn't appear when i press the buttons as it used to), just the cast one. To change the call/alarm/midia volume i have to go trough system > sound.
But the worst one is when my phone freezes for 2/3 seconds mostly when i'm watching a video on chrome. Idk if the problem is on gchrome or the rom itself.
anyone having something similar?

Same thing happened to me after the update. Here's what I did to get it back.
1. Hard reset (didn't work but never hurts)
2. Settings -> About phone -> System update -> ( . . . ) -> Download latest package
3. (Reboot and let install complete)
Let it reinstall and once it rebooted I had audio through the earpiece back.

Hi, I flashed this rom and magisk 20.3 together. But it will end up with a bootloop to twrp recovery. Could you please help me with it? Thanks!
Magisk save the stock boot ans write a new boot.
You may attempt to flash again the stock boot (extract it from the rom ) with twrp in boot.

Question MIUI 13

Hi everyone,
I have a Poco X3 Pro which currently runs Xiaomi.eu 12.5.7 and I was wondering if there was any point in updating to Xiaomi.eu 13.
First I've read that there is no recovery that actually supports Android 12, therefore I was wondering if it would be troublesome for some things, and if so, for what. And which recovery should I install, I'm currently running Orangefox which I really like.
Moreover, it seems that it runs slower than Xiaomi.eu 12.5.
Finally I always have trouble migrating to a new rom because of the factory reset needed, and I don't know any viable solution to backup my data properly. I've always lost my data, and all I was managing to save was my apps (without their data's), my contacts and sms (which sometimes didn't work properly) and my photos (ish) .
I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to backup everything needed such as apps+datas, sms+contacts+mms, pictures and videos.
I'd like to mention that I run Xiaomi.eu mainly for the mobile data tracking features, which I couldn't find in any other non-MIUI rom, and the ui and the new control center since MIUI 12.
Thanks in advance

I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to backup everything needed such as apps+datas, sms+contacts+mms, pictures and videos.
I'd like to mention that I run Xiaomi.eu mainly for the mobile data tracking features, which I couldn't find in any other non-MIUI rom, and the ui and the new control center since MIUI 12.
Thanks in advance

If you have a Poco x3 pro(VAYU) and use 12.5.7 Xiaomi Eu rom(custom rom not EEA stock) you can update to 13 without losing the data because now you can flash the rom with fastboot command and you can choose between 2 scripts:
"windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat"or
"windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat"
For the first install,it is better to format data but update work.
Backup your data with Miphone assistant,Micloud,Google.
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-13-stable-release.64441/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv13/
Method/ Pc mandatory:
Download rom
open and extract rom with 7.zip or other
Phone in fastboot mode
Execute command according your Pc.(Windows,linux,Mac).

Oh thanks a lot for the fast and detailed answer.

But the one I have installed will stay installed right? And there will be no other issue than the failing decryption?

no,your rom is in android 11 not 12.
Remove security from the lock screen before flashing the rom (additional precaution) and save your data just in case.

Okay, thanks a lot for all your answers, I'll try that later tonight
Well, it worked all right.
The only downside I have found for now is a bug with mobile datas. Sometimes it turns off by itself and it is impossible to turn it back on without rebooting

This is the solution to be sure that it does not come from the update.

OK thanks, I'll wait and see if it does appear again before actually formatting data

Before formatting you can try to reset Wifi, mobile networks and bluetooth.
Settings/connect and share
Thanks I may try that, but for now I haven't had the bug again.
Also, do you know of any way to change the boot animation? I tried replacing the bootanimation.zip on my own but I can't it is read only, and even with an app such as boot animation on play store (I am rooted) it doesn't work.
I tried flashing some animation as Magisk module that I found on the Internet but nothing works

Just download a theme with a boot animation, rename the theme to zip and modify the boot animation or replace it with your own.

And where do I find a theme with boot animation? Can't I download the zip of my current theme? (which is the default one)

Either you look in the Miui store and you retrieve it on the phone or a google search.
Or here to modify if necessary:
