Anyone facing an audio issue in their Mate 30 Pro? While listening to any audio, the volume softens after some time on its own despite being in full volume. Restarting the app will help but it happens again after some time.
This is more prominent when speaking over the loudspeaker.
I'm sure it's not a hardware issue. Must be some sort of software bug.

Hey guys, I am experiencing some issues with my HTC Sensation music player. I must note that these issues only started after the major update to Android 4.0/IceCreamSandwich. The problems are to do with the sound enhancer within the music player. I hear a very loud pop when I change tracks, this only happens when I am using the Equalizer mode for the sound enhancer, happens for every setting (pop, rock,r&b, bass booster ect.). It's very annoying since I prefer using the Equalizer modes over the SRS or No Effects. Note that it only happens with headphones/earphones on (equalizer only works with earphones on anyway), and I've tried a couple of different sets and it isn't the problem.
Has anybody else experienced the same problem? And how do I fix the problem?
P.S In addition to this, when turning my phone on with the top right hand button, it sometimes takes several seconds for the display to actually turn on. Again, it only started happening after the update.
Thanks,

Hi everyone,
I've been on stock roms since I got my Nexus 5 (almost two years, so it's still on warranty [local law]), and since I updated to 6.0, I started having issues with the proximity sensor. Sometimes it wouldn't turn off the screen in calls, and it would generally stop working (I use gravity screen, which relies heavily on the proximity sensor, so that allowed me to become more aware of the problem. The proximity sensor would resume normal operation after a while.
I googled the issue, and apparently it's common since the 6.0 update, so I assumed a software bug. Anyway, last night the problem got worse. For example, if I was playing a video on youtube, with audio coming from the speakers (didn't try with headphones), the video would go silent. It can happen during playback (suddenly it just goes silent) or you start the video and it is silent. Other media apps report the same behaviour. This is an on/off problem, as it might or might not occur.
Also, during calls, it also started silencing the phone speaker. As with all the problems I reported, this is on/off. When the phone speaker is silent, the proximity sensor stops working. When this happens, I'm able to use the speaker phone to actually engage in the conversations.
Another thing that is really weird is that, if a media app stops reproducing sound (although sound should be playing), and I start a phone call immediately, the phone speaker will not emit sound but if I change it to speaker phone (audio coming from the speakers) the speakers work fine!
I've since flashed CWM recovery and a cyanogenmod snapshot (cm-12.1-20150901-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO237-hammerhead.zip) and the problem persists!
I'm writing this thread in the hopes that someone might know a fix for these issues, or if someone knows if these are common. Otherwise, I'll have to send the phone for warranty...
I searched around for this problem and couldn't find a reference to it. I was not very thorough, however, so I apologize if I missed something.
TL;DR - Having some issues regarding the proximity sensor (it stops working and resumes working for no reason) and when this happens, no sound comes out of the phone speaker during calls and no sound comes from the speakers during media playback. When the problem happens during a call, the speaker phone can be activated to interact with the other person. Does anyone know anyone that might be experiencing the same issues?
Thanks!
Hello, it seems im experiencing the exact same issue as here: http://en.miui.com/thread-81318-1-1.html
I tried latest MIUI / CM12.1, can anyone else confirm it? Is this a software issue? Any fixes possible? It's extremely annoying..
To test it it's best to put very low volume using headphones and whenever sound is playing there is this hiss / noise.. when sound/music stop the noise also stops after 2-3 seconds or so.. And it happens only with headphones, no problem with speakers..
I tried 3 different headphones, some have higher and some lower noise but i can notice on all..
Anyone else?

hi
just got a new xperia 5. The phone has some really bad audio distortion when video calling with Whatsapp or speaker phone voice calls. It sounds like the audio volume is far too high for the speakers causing lots of crackling and distortion. Its as if a speaker is plugged into an amp that is far too powerful for it. Has anyone else experienced this, or got any suggestions on how to fix it? Or do I need to send the phone back.
I've tried turning off dynamic vibration and dolby atmos, but no difference.
The issue only seems to occur with WhatsApp video or voice calls on speaker phone. It doesn't happen for standard GSM calls even on speaker phone or if playing a recorded message or video through whatsapp. Other apps don't seem to have any problems.
In WhatsApp I can kind of fix the problem by turning the volume down by about 30% but then the speaker volume is a bit too quiet.
I am getting very low volume even at max setting when the voice note is played thru the earpiece. It's fine with the speakers though. Seems like software issue. Any one else facing this bug?
same here plus thay audio will start on spesker before you put phone on yoir ear and thats annoying
So this is not the only phone plagued with this bug. A52 also has this.
