Poco X3 NFC +5 Months usage - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Before Poco X3 NFC i was using Samsung Galaxy A30 for +1 year and after using Poco you get better performance, camera, battery.
But one thing i don't like is MIUI. I just got Android 11 update and its really bad notification don't work if someone write me in Messenger or Instagram they will show when i open the app or about 1 hour later sometimes will repeat 2 3time same notification or sometime phone will stuck and reboot by itself in A30 i didn't have this problems.
I'm using Miui Global 12.0.6 Stable

"I just got Android 11 update..." and "I'm using Miui Global 12.0.6 Stable" makes no sense. Remove these apps from battery optimization, turn autostart on for them and grant all permissions.

Yes i flash from Global to Europe

Go back to regular stable ROM of your region. It might be an error due to firmware being buggy.

I'm getting a system update for official Pie OTA

I'm on the last stable release of oxygen and I keep getting the update for pie and it keeps failing
anyone else?
Nice, but how about AOSP android P ?
Stock trash ROM from oneplus is unacceptable.
Why is it so hard for oneplus to make a normal fully functional AOSP for their device ?
and let people to choose what they prefer.
Good news!
looks like Oxygen Pie is on the way XD
Are you on beta?

I completely agree with you. OnePlus is on their way of fcuking Oxygen OS. Waiting for a stock AOSP rom or Pixel experience rom to flash it on my device and get rid of this ****.
that is not Oxygen OS interface(UI)

Stop crying. You bought it and I don't think OnePlus promised to you that you're gonna get AOSP...
If you change the build.prop to Pixel 2, you can receive Pixel Pie update, but you can't install, It happened to me to have this window of update because of that

My poco f1 is on the way and I am wondering what will be the best OS to put on it?

In terms of speed, customization, looks, camera quality, RAM management, etc..? What is the best one everyone uses? I am new to all these android stuff, someone please fill me in and help me out.
I heard many bad things about MIUI that poco f1 uses, thats why i am just anxious to install the best one there is
it's opinion.
But regarding what you listed Miui ticks the box for them all.
Just use it when you get it see how you get on if not happy then flash another and so on
miui is the optimal ROM for it no doubt as i tried most custom roms!!!! ram management, Battery life and features all in one MIUI
although i would recommend not the stock miui But the XIAOMI.EU rom and sphinx kernel!!!
Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
Mine's stock global stable 10.2.2.0.. with franco kernel of course
I installed Nitrogen OS on mine, it's heavily customizable, stable, battery is great, I have no complaints about it.
Sent from my Poco F1 using Tapatalk
Once you have a feeling of the lightness and cleaness other roms brings you'll understand why miui not cool
Currenctly running pixel experience +fkernel, heavily opmized for battery. Easily two day phone
Use dotOS its official now also made a newibe guide on bootloader unlock and rom flashing : https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/aio-t3909060

cleaness and lightness not always means smoothness and that what you don't get from CUSTOM ROMS

I bought the phone to work for me, not me work for phone for free. No time to read custom ROM thread every day, wait for dev to buy new phone and abandon.
Flashing ROM, DFE, All-Region & TWRP (recovery.img) for every update takes 3 minutes for me. That's the only time I waste on phone every week or two weeks, just 3 minutes. So official open beta for me.

Can you give me fastboot link of latest stable?
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.2.2.0....XM_20190110.0000.00_9.0_global_da212305c9.tgz
This one seems to be broken... I can't extract it. I thought maybe i had a faulty download but even after trying 3 times i am still getting error while extracting. So i tried an old version fastboot file and it got extracted normally without error... So the problem is not in my downloading but tte file itself is corrupted.
I want Latest GLOBAL STABLE FASTBOOT..
Not beta
Pixel Experience CAF

there is no "best" rom, they are all good. u need to try few and find the one that suits at best for your needs. miui eu is quite ok, i found aosip being the best for me.

miui.eu stable or beta if you want. extreme kernel for overclock and speed or franco kernel for balanced and long lasting batt.

Currently using Pixel experience CAF based but as it is discontinued so i would have to shift. But if you dont really care about updates, the last build was a solid one...

Ah thanks mate.. also are you able to download apps like Netflix from the Play Store after rooting(Magisk)? I'm currently using Magisk on MIUI and Play Store still detects the root even though my device passes SafetyNet and has MagiskHide enabled.

Hmm.. that's a bit weird.
what's the rom that's most stable right now? I'm on China rom and have 7 days to wait to unlock my bootloader.
unfortunately I don't like the rom, sync issues with my google accounts.
I no longer have the time to keep on flashing ang re-flashing my phone, am terribly busy with work. so I'm looking for a rom where I can stick on it for a few months.
my last device was a mi max 2 and I stayed on nougat, on that one rom for 14 months lol. I don't really care about updates. as long as the rom is snappy and fast and generally bug free.

Same here. Can someone please give us some inputs as to which ROM is best to stick around? (other than the MIUI, I hate it)
Stability and reliability along with good camera usage is my necessity.
Had used PE on Redmi Note 5 Pro for more than 6 months. PE for Violet seems to be slightly lagging when I used it. And I am unable to use finger print in LOS.
I just flashed Evolution ROM. It seems to be built on PE and so far it looks very neat. Will update later with more details.
UPDATE: Evolution 2.0 seems to be the better among the AOSP based ROMs out there. I never noticed any issues. GCAM, battery, signal coverage and integrity, stability etc, seems to be really impressive... Close to stock roms. In case you want AOSP ROM, i would suggest this one strongly.

You can flash PE AOSP for stability. I am still on a June release, with zero issues. I'm sure the latest build will be stable and improved too.

ROM with dual sim support?

While I'm quite happy with LOS, I really hate having to remove and switch my sims because AOSP (and thus LOS) doesn't support software SIM disabling. Is there a custom ROM (not MIUI) for Poco X3 that has this feature?

Question Descendant OS for Veux

Descendant OS is an AOSP based custom rom.
Has anyone tried using Descendant OS on the POCO X4 Pro? The developer recently released a version of descendant OS for Veux based on Android 12.1
I'm not sure if i am allowed to share the link or not but if you just search up "descendant OS" then it's the first result u can see
p.s there goes the crown to the first official custom rom for the Poco X4 Pro (Oh wait is Miui Eu considered one...)
Yep,
It has issues with proximity sensor on calls and Bluetooth calls will cause the phone to crash
hmmm no fastboot version?...
cause veux/veuxg doesn't have TWRP yet afaik

yeah no fastboot version yet sadly, people r using an unofficial lineage recovery rn i think
You can also use Pixel Experience unofficial and it has its own recovery
im waiting for twrp too bcs its best recovery
i hope someone can do it
and.... info about GSI ROM from Ponces...
i mean PixelExperience - dont use it.
Many bugs with this GSI (on my OnePlus is OK, but no with Poco)
hmm i wait for official ones....i prefer TWRP too

actually i was in a telegram group where it was posted but people complained a lot about bugs but ik pixel experience has to be somewhat better than the miui based descendant OS so I'm not sure what to go for
any recommendations?
I do need performance improvement a little bit...
Any ROMs for this phone will be buggy for some time... We have no partial twrp, no official aosp/lineage os etc. Be happy that we've atleadt got MIUI EU and able to root. Magisk and debloating has made a huge difference in fluidity.

No worries, just be careful about what you flash or you'll end up hard bricking your device especially with all the similar models to ours - there's bound to be incorrectly labeled files around.
