Ok i unlocked my metro stylo4 and have been trying to root for the past few days...followinf the instructions on rooting with magisk, ive downloaded the apk and im supposed to install in recovery mode but my phone wont go into recovery now...all it will do is factory reset. Im holding down vol and power at same time then releasing and pressing power again when lg logo appears...what happened??
youe phone vibrate when booting up? release pressing power when it vibrate and keep holding VOL+ you don't need to wait for the logo

I did that and it brought me ton fastboot mode where i couldnt do anything and had to hard restart ...im bout to just give up...this apparently isnt for me

LG Stylo™ 4 | Metro by T-Mobile it is not VOL+ ... you should be pressing VOL- for recovery mode

Doesnt do that on mine..if i continually hold both buttons it constantly restarts my phone

Try to hold the power button and the volumedown buttons at startup and see if it boots into bootloader ...

You mean it doesn't boot into bootloader ? does the led's flash when you press and hold the power button ?
If the LED's flash 6 times and before the screen starts , hold down the voulme button ..( till you see something on the screen )
If I do that it just goes straight to a normal bootup, which then bootloops

Ok ... you will have to be persistent here ... make sure the LED's flash 6 times and when you realize it's starting up ... press the "volume down" button " 2-3 times and hold onto it ... no need to hold the power button ...

Yeah I think if ADB picks up the phone as connected an RUU file should read the phone as well. give it a try.

Hello falks..
my HTC one x phone won't respond ..
this happened when I maybe disabled one of the system features by the Carot app ..
Now when I open the phone, I get a BLANK screen .. and I can't access any of the phone features .. and when I press the power button, it just restart and the same thing happen again and again.
I couldn't upgrade the system through my computer, because when I plug it, it says CHARGE only ! and I can't change it.

Can you get into TWRP?
Hold the power button for ~10-15 seconds (lights should start flashing) and hold down volume down.
You can let go of power when you see the HTC screen, but not volume down

What ROM were you on? I suggest reflashing the ROM.
don't forget to flash the boot.img, then the ROM

Shutdown the phone
Hold volume up + volume down and power on the phone. Hold both volume buttons until the phone vibrates then release.

Tern off phone with hold press vol down and power and when turned of connect charging cable and press vol down with vol up in the same time you will go to bootloader then flash stock
I such you have that issues with twrp of you fixed it tell me

Dont say dont work im such you im have serched for this issues fixs more than 4 haur
Serch in youtube how to openA7 2018 bootloader
And dont lost you need to tern off phone then go to bootloader
If you pressed down vol with power in first 7 second it will be restart dont stop of pressing if the screen blacked for second time press vol up & down in some time

Hey,
I have the same problem with the bootloop and the corrupted locking screen. I'm able to boot into download mode, but I can't figure out which system to flash. I tried several ones, but none of them worked... and I can't get back to the factory recovery. If somebody has an idea which recovery system could work I would be very pleased to know.
Software used to Flash: Odin

Hey , you gotta help me out here please !! i am not able to boot into download mode.
press all buttons at once (volume down + volume up + power button) until the screen turns black. Than immeadiatly press volume up and volume down button and insert cable connected to pc.
