Question OnePlus 9 12 gig 256 gig - OnePlus 9

I live in Canada. I'm interested in a oneplus 9.
I want the 12 gig 256 gig variant. Has anyone heard of this variant coming at all to the OnePlus 9?

It's not out yet, but some stores are showing it just unavailable:
OnePlus 9

Also, from experience, the 8GB and 12GB will have the same speed. I've done this test with other OnePlus phones in the past and I always go with 8GB and save some cash.

BH Photo has but as Svetius said, it's unavailable right now. My guess when they have available, it will be on OnePlus site as well.

Other websites have bought up the stock. Jut got mine from one of these tbh,

4GB or 6GB of RAM?

The Honor 9 comes with two different options for RAM. You can get either 4GB or 6GB. During the launch event, Honor showed a video speed test where the 6GB RAM Honor 9 smoked the Galaxy S8.
In this video, you can see it's about on par with the OnePlus 5.

So which version will you be getting?
The 4GB one, it is already a bit expensive in Europe (at least in comparison to China) and I don't think I need the extra 2 GB anyway
I'd like to take the 6 GB version. But in Europe only the 4 GB version is available. And I don't think buying it in China just to get those 2 extra GB is worthy, since you'll have to pay more after customs and you're probably losing warranty.
Any thoughts about that? Are you buying official store EU or from China importers?
Thanks

OP6 McLaren

OnePlus has launched its 6T McLaren smartphone, which is available for $699 in the US.
The device is based on the OnePlus 6T, but packs 10GB of RAM and features McLaren branding on the chassis.
It also packs a Qualcomm 845 processor and 256GB of storage.
A feature punted by OnePlus is the phone’s Warp Charge 30 charging, which lets users recharge 50% of their 3,700mAh battery in 20 minutes using a wired charger.
A 6.41-inch AMOLED display (2,340 x 1,080), dual rear cameras, Android 8.0, a USB-C port, and LTE-A connectivity also feature on the phone.

10GB of ram on a phone. We're not in Kansas anymore.
Sexy phone. If I had money to blow, I would get it. However realistically it's just a OnePlus 6 in a cute dress.

Exactly and the 845 processor is about to be left behind as the SD855 is going to be in the next round of phones in Feb or Mach. This is the reason I think the T variants are a money grab and aren't worth getting as you're basically paying premium for tech about to be replaced with the next gen. At least with a regular OP6 you get to have the top end chip for a year before it's replaced.

One Plus 7 vs One Plus 7 Pro

I went through GSMArena and tried to find out the differences between the both and the 6 differences I found were:
1) Corning Gorilla Glass 5 vs Corning Gorilla Glass 6
2) DCI - P3 vs DCI - P3 100% (Clarify?)
3) No UFS Vs UFS (Clarify?)
4) 4000 mAh vs 4085 mAh
5) Wrap 30 vs Wrap 30T
6) Snapdragon 855 Vs Snapdragon 855+
Can anyone clarify that if the second and third points are and what differences does it make to the performance.
Also, I know both the devices use the same camera hardware so will 7 Pro too get all the camera updates as in the Macro Mode, Super Slow-Mo, Hybrid Image Stabilisation and Ultra Wide Portrait Clicks.
What are other differences?

None of both phones (7 or 7 Pro) have the Snapdragon 855+. And none have Warp Charge 30T.
I'm not sure which phones you are comparing on GSMArena.
Both are using the Snapdragon 855. Both have UFS 3.0 Storage.
Maybe take a look here: https://www.gadgetsnow.com/compare-mobile-phones/OnePlus-7-vs-OnePlus-7-Pro
I'm assuming you mean the OnePlus 7t pro vs the OnePlus 7 pro...
They both have ufs 3.0 storage. That allows faster read and write speeds. The cameras are the exact same but they moved the laser autofocus which is why the 7t pro can do the macro photos, I assume. The 7t pro comes with Android 10 on it. The 7t pro comes with only 8gb of RAM and 256gb onboard unless you get the McLaren edition, which comes with up to 12gb of RAM whereas the 7 pro can be configured with 128gb-512gb onboard and 6gb-12gb of RAM. The 7t pro adds the new haze color and the McLaren edition. Both have DCI p3 for the display. P3 is a color calibration. Same exact screen as far as I can tell. Everything else is correct. Also, just a note, the 7t pro is not available in US markets.

Question 8 vs 12 GB ram

Should I pay 40€ more tobget 12GB and 256GB of rom ?
Is there ant advantage of having 12GB?
Having a oneplus Nord with 8GB ram 128GB now.
i buyed a oneplus 9 from tradingshenzen there is the 256gb version cheaper than a 128 on amazon, 1 thing doesnt exist and this is wireless charging but for what this of you can charge your phone up to 100% in less then 30 minutes and you become a power adapter here is the link https://tradingshenzhen.com/de/oneplus-9-9-pro-9r-9rt/oneplus-9-12gb256gb-snapdragon-888-120-hz for other questions ask me

RedMagic phones?

Anyone here have a RedMagic phone? How are they? Do they work with a lot of US carriers? I kind of want to use a budget carrier like Boost for $25 a month, but I may go back to Mint because it gets better service.
That new RedMagic 8 looks sexy if you ask me. Even the 7S Pro doesn't look too bad.I love the no notch display. Has some kind of cooling system in it.
8 has Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 6000mAh battery (dual 3000mAh), 65w fast charting, 12 or 16GB memory, 6.8" screen.
The 7S Pro has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 5000mAh battery, 12 or 18GB memory, 6.8" screen.
