Hey Peeps,
A Great XDA Dev @lebigmac has written a script that will allow us to have full Read/Write and Mount access while rooted on Android 10 devices. While it has had great succeess on Xiaomi devices, he's steadfastedly working hard on ensuring Motorola devices don't get left out.
So, I'm asking to the brave to come and test out his script and give feedback! It's really important so bugs and errors can be worked out.
I've been testing his script with my Moto One 5G Ace and we haven't been successful yet, but we need more Moto devices to compare where the problem may be at as to why the script isn't working for the Moto devices.
So please, come to his thread and try his script and report the findings. It would be a great help to make sure we finally get write access and mount access to our system files. TWRP and Non-TWRP users are both welcome.
Thanks.
The Script is here on XDA:

Thanks for sharing
worked on my moto g styles 2021
After doing this, are the OTA updates affected? I assume if OTA still works, the script would need to be ran again afterwards.

First, let me apologize if this is the wrong forum. If it is, please let me know where would be more appropriate.
I have been doing some testing for largefile support on USB devices attached to GoogleTV.
I am keeping the results in the Android FAQ I am maintaining at Android-DLS. (Google for Android FAQ and go to question 3.8, if you are interested)
So far I have tested ext4 and exFAT, with no luck. Has anyone had any luck mounting filesystems other than FAT32?
Thanks,
Brian
Hello,
I developed a Guide and software package to boot a phone with a fried emmc.
The trick is to use modified kernel files and mount all partitions to image files on SD card - however, kernel files and software are different from phone to phone.
My Guide already works nice for HTC Desire Z / G2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572924
To port that Guide and the linked package to HTC Inspire 4G I need a tester with a custom rom (ClockworkMod recovery, 3Ext ...). Best testing with fried emmc, but a good working phone will also be fine for porting!
If you want to support me then send me a private message on XDA or visit me on freenode IRC channel #G2ROOT (web interface: http://webchat.freenode.net - channel #G2ROOT)
Best regards,
Catherall
Hi
I've installed CM10.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499796) on my Archos 80G9. It also runs the SDE firmware from Archos (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653566). So far, so good, it runs quite nicely, all things concerned. Here's a screenshot to the system info: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ri8n4jb6gyrfz7/Screenshot_2014-11-17-20-56-01.png?dl=0
Now I'm trying to install X-posed Framework, but this won't work. When I try, I get an error that tells me /system can't be mounted. (Screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ryaryqkie023sl4/Screenshot_2014-11-17-20-40-16.png?dl=0 )
When I take a look is ES3 if the folder is mounted, it looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ryaryqkie023sl4/Screenshot_2014-11-17-20-40-16.png?dl=0 . I can't tick the other boxes here, I get the message "sorry, operation failed" when I try.
I have no idea how I have to fix this problem and if it's even fixable.
Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
you already found the CM10.2 ROM thread.
There are some posts about remounting system as RW (read/write) in the thread.
If this doesn't work for you, you should ask this in the Archos Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 > Gen9, Gen10 General forum.
And here is the Xposed FAQ / Known issues thread.
Maybe you can find some help there.

Thank you! The commands listed in the CM10.2 ROM thread don't seem to work, so I'll go to the archos forum!

That's fine. Thanks for letting me know. Thread closed.
Hi guys,
as some of you may know, I own a ODYS Orbit Phablet, featuring a Snapdragon 410 SoC.
Because I am a flashoholic, after all, I need to get the device rooted, which seems to be impossible..
Without custom recovery (TWRP, I prefer), I will never be able to root it. So I need someone who can make one for me..
The minimalistic twrp source could help, I know, but my laptop does not fit the required features to build the twrp, properly.
(i3 2-core, 4GB, no Ubuntu - no cygwin or similar)
So it is easier to look for someone helps me..
I can give all the files you need to you, I hope, and you can please build my desired recovery.
But for now, I am searching for help... So, who wants?
Would be great to get twrp working there!
Hopefully and best regards
Marcus

help??
That's because A73 uses F2Fs for vendor and system instead of ext4 I think you should try modifying it in twrp if you have rw in twrp if not I'm hoping to post a rom soon that's ext4 for both system and vendor it works fine but currently trying to get rid of encryption first before I start with roms
