[ROM] Noontec A9 / UMAX A9 / Media-tech Media-Droid HQ Firmware with root

First release of my firmware build for Noontec A9 / UMAX A9 / Media-tech Media-Droid HQ or similar rk2918 based devices.
I'm not responsible for any damages to your devices.
ROM is based on Media-tech 1.2.09 firmware.
Version 0.1
- Added cifs.ko
- Added Superuser.apk & su binary
Bugs
- cifs.ko causes the device to lock when mounting a share
How to install:
Just the same as official firmwares.
Download the ZIP file
Extract the update.img file to an SD memory card
Insert the SD memory card in your powered-on device
When asked, install the firmware update

Media-tech Media-Droid HQ FW with root / Advice to compiling modules for C270 webcam
Hi I'm new on XDA forum and welcome all.
I fallow the thread and write the rooted FW on my Media-Droid TV BOX.
I would like to use my Logitech C270 Webcam with a SKYPE, but wideo not showing.
I know that many users have the same problem on similar TV boxes such as Noontech / Umax.
My qustion is. Where can I get sources for this box and how can I compile nesecary modules. I need yours advice.

I tried this but it wasn't possible to remount the / to rw.
Is it not possible since its CRAMFS?

I returned it and bought a Zotac ID-41. All problems solved!

How well does the noontec work? I have to admit that android 2.3 doesn't sooth me that much. I'd half a gig of ram enough?

[Completed] [Q] installing X-posed on Archos 80G9 (Unofficial CM10.2): problem mounting /System

I've installed CM10.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499796) on my Archos 80G9. It also runs the SDE firmware from Archos (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653566). So far, so good, it runs quite nicely, all things concerned. Now I'm trying to install X-posed Framework, but this won't work. When I try, I get an error that tells me /system can't be mounted. (Screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ryaryqkie023sl4/Screenshot_2014-11-17-20-40-16.png?dl=0 )
When I take a look is ES3 if the folder is mounted, it looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ryaryqkie023sl4/Screenshot_2014-11-17-20-40-16.png?dl=0 . I can't tick the other boxes here, I get the message "sorry, operation failed" when I try.
I have no idea how I have to fix this problem and if it's even fixable.
Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!

you already found the CM10.2 ROM thread.
There are some posts about remounting system as RW (read/write) in the thread.
If this doesn't work for you, you should ask this in the Archos Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 > Gen9, Gen10 General forum.
And here is the Xposed FAQ / Known issues thread.
Maybe you can find some help there.

[ROM][STABLE] DotOS 2.4 [J701X Port]

G'day everybody. Today I bring you my first ROM port for the Galaxy J7 NXT. This is Droid On Time OS version 2.4 ported from the J7 2016 variant.
DISCLAIMER: I hope you already know that by being here you take full responsibilities of your actions. I am very new to ROM porting and as you can tell I began only by starting with a phone with the exact same (nearly) hardware as ours. I will not be entitled to any bug fixing as I am incapable of that. Instead you will be required to kindly ask a dev to compile a fix or do it yourself in your own free time. Be sure to flash your favourite GApps as well. Make sure it is version 8.1.0.
Installation:
1. Wipe Dalvik/Cache, System, Data and Cache
2. Flash ROM
3. Flash GApps
4. Flash Magisk 16.0
5. Reboot!

Fixes:
In order for Proximity sensor to work, you need to do this:
On device:
1. Download Root Explorer (ROOT REQUIRED)
2. Download hw folder from the drive link I provided
3. Install Root Explorer and grant permission
4. Copy the three libs from the Google Drive folder and replace in: /system/lib/hw
5. Reboot

Development Android +10 Universal System Read/Write Script

Hey Peeps,
A Great XDA Dev @lebigmac has written a script that will allow us to have full Read/Write and Mount access while rooted on Android 10 devices. While it has had great succeess on Xiaomi devices, he's steadfastedly working hard on ensuring Motorola devices don't get left out.
So, I'm asking to the brave to come and test out his script and give feedback! It's really important so bugs and errors can be worked out.
I've been testing his script with my Moto One 5G Ace and we haven't been successful yet, but we need more Moto devices to compare where the problem may be at as to why the script isn't working for the Moto devices.
So please, come to his thread and try his script and report the findings. It would be a great help to make sure we finally get write access and mount access to our system files. TWRP and Non-TWRP users are both welcome.

Question [CLOSED] Android 13 GSI

Hello. I have a Poco X3 Pro and i'd like to flash the new Android 13 GSI on it. I have two questions. First, i'll take the GSI on the official Android website. I do not know if it is an A/B rom, and the Poco X3 Pro has only an A slot. If it is an A/B rom, would i still be able to flash it ? Second, can i flash the GSI on TWRP ? I don't have the dynamic partition yet (super partition) because i never went to Android 13, I am on Android 12. Do i need to flash it via fastboot, or is TWRP OK ?
Any reponses would be very helpful to me, thanks in advance.

Use a dsu loader tool from here with root to try a gsi image without booting to any recovery it just used about 2gb internal for storage if you want to test the gsi rom . Gsi roms are for testing only

And.. Can't i use a GSI for my everyday life ? I mean, it's pure android and that's what i like about it.

Uhm you do have dynamic partition though tried the the dsu tool and booted many gsi roms
