Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime plus J2 SMG532 - USSD codes issue - General Questions and Answers

Hello:
I don't understand why the USSD codes don't work on my Android phone. When I use the code, I always get a response saying Connection error or invalid MMI code. Sometimes, I get to a certain point in the operation of the code before it fails, most times it fails when I make the first dial.
At the same time, the codes for accessing Android information does not work. For instance, the phone information numbers of *#*#4636#*#* does not work when I dial these numbers.
Please what can I do to fix this problem
I use a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime plus J2 SMG532 phone.
I hope my issue is very well understood.
Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

What a childish title...
Very annoying, please change it if you expect someone to answer

Whether USSD codes work or not depend on the mobile network. Many providers offer lists of common usable USSD codes on their sites or through their customer service,

[Q] Trouble Unlocking Sidekick 4G

I have been trying to unlock my old tmobile sidekick 4g to use with AT&T and I have followed the guide extremely close and I have got the hex editor and I have got the 8 digit code and when I go to enter the network lock control key I keep getting an unsuccessful message. If anyone gets this message and believes they can help me out someway please shoot me a private msg so we can contact each other via email or phone and hopefully someone can help solve my problems. I greatly appreciate everyone's time for reading this and I would be extremely appreciative of anyone willing to help.. Thanks once again

Why don't you just ask T-Mobile to send you the unlock code? I have asked them to unlock 4 phones, including my Sidekick, and they have always been good about it. See this page for more info: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1588. I found that the easiest way to request the unlock code was to use the chat function. As I recall, you just have to provide your phone number and IMEI.

Sent from my SM-G900I using xda-developers.com, powered by appyet.com
The IMEI # should be on the back of the phone. Text is pretty small.
^ What he said.
Backside of the phone, at the bottom.
You can find both IMEI and S/N there (Very transparent text though so not easy to read)

Cool, but I don't know what format it needs to enter on Samsung website, I registered a Samsung account and try to register this phone but when I am entering and clicking submit its not accepting it, if I need to include slash(/) in imei number which I enter and also how many digits long IMEI numbers are.
Thanks for reply fuya
You should only need to type in the 15 digits

Thanks

some phone callers are always reaching disconnected message to my phone

I am looking for some information regarding a problem I am experiencing with my phone, I have 3 questions regarding it. I have stated them at the end of this lengthy post.
My phone is zte grand x2 model z850 and android build is 5.1, carrier is pcmobile in Canada.
The problem is that my android phone seems to work OK and receives calls correctly, but my doctor office, hospial booking office, and phones belonging to my workplace receive a tone followed by some type of reaching a disconnected number. My phone calling log shows no record of calls being received to phone.
The troubleshooting steps are sent email to pcmobile and received response to do a battery reset, pull out battery and sim card for at least one minute and reinstall. If it doesn't work call their customer support and get put through to tech support.
That did not work. Call to the tech support says that all 0:00 second calls end in response to some type of code (mentioned a specific code but I forget) and that it means my phone is responsible. She said android phones allow for rejecting calls based on various categories like toll free originating and such. And that the phones calls not getting through likely belong to a category I have blocked. She mentions just goto phone menu, settings, and something like call block, call reject and I will most likely find something there. If that doesn't work to do a backup and factory reset. To do that she says I need to call zte for help as she isn't allowed to help with it.
My zte phone interface only shows call barring settings with a few things like all incoming or incoming roaming, outgoing or outgoing roaming and that is it.
However it is possible that I came across via a web search a USSD code to ban telemarketers and used it. I just don't no what code it was or even if I did such a thing.
Anyway I called back their customer service to maybe get further help and had specific phone numbers and times of calls that were rejected by disconnected number messages from my workplace. To see if the problem could be isolated at my phone as a reason or maybe in the network somewhere. And was also wanting to know how I can unset the call reject if I have no interface to do it or undo it. Maybe even get confirmation that the noted calls are actually making it to my phone or getting dropped in the network. The new customer support first asked if it was a ported number and since it was, he checked with someone to see if it was a problem. The porting people said all calls were routed correctly through to my phone, but the customer support guy said there was no way to verify if my specific noted calls were included.
He mentions their tech support did not help with actual phone troubles, but he suggested I get another sim card and phone and use them in varios combinations with my phone and sim to get the working/ not working situations and isolate the problem. This I have not done yet as it seems like a lot of expense and jumping through hoops trying to fix a problem that seems like it should be able to be verified in a phone setting log somehow. He refused to put me through to tech support when I said I wanted him to anyway.
My emails with zte have them requesting I do a backup and factory reset, if that doesn't work then try a new sim card, if that doesn't work then book my phone for a repair with them.
So my question number 1 is:
Is there a USSD code that allows me to see settings or logs of such a call reject being used. I have tried *35**# which is supposed to show "incoming call barring" and it responds "Call barring Service has been disabled." My phone user interface doesn't provide for this as best as I can tell.
My question number 2 is:
What is the USSD code that I might have used to try and reject telemarketers which might issue tones that might indicate a disconnected number. I'm thinking this is the most likely reason for my troubles. I have been unsuccessful google searching for what I may have done. I find info on various USSD codes at this forum and elsewhere. But I'm not finding anything specific to help. I thought the *35**# would have helped but it doesn't. It is very possible I did do something like this with a USSD code which is causing my trouble.
.
Part 2 of this question is what would be the USSD codes to see the status or to unset such a thing.
My question number 3:
If there is no way to set status or see the status of call barring and rejecting logs or settings of the phone. If I do a phone reset, how is it possible that it could be the sim card instead. Does the sim card actually store call rejecting and barring settings as well.
Part of troubleshooting this involves me contacting third parties such as work, doctor, or hospital and asking them to try and call me and if not successful contact me someway else and tell me it was unsuccessful. I really doubt any of them want to do this for me more than once or twice. So I'm trying to gather info and limit my number of attempts. It would be real useful to be able to look up logs or settings somehow.
Would anyone know if the effect of *77 being used is that the caller experiences reaching a disconnected number. Or what do they usually experience.
In web searching possible codes I may have used, I came across the *77 code to reject anonymous callers. The *87 would be to unreject such a setting. Is there a method to check the current setting of either on or off somehow.
I am unable to test the specific phones getting the message of reaching a disconnected number. I will however have better access to one of the phones in three weeks time to see if *87 fixes my troubles.

USSD codes (quick/feature codes), need to see history and control them

I don't live in USA and there is no feature to control those annoying ads that can pop up over a locked phone and make you subscribe with paid service if you touch "ok" at the wrong time while interacting with another app, no default shortcut/icon/app from service provide on phone to stop this service.
in addition to that I today had another problem, service provider says I used USSD number and I know that I didn't use that number, I looked at my phone call history I saw the code I said that I made (wrong code format) but the page does not show successful codes because I used several codes.
So I want to ask
1. Is there ANY way to see previously dialed USSD codes on my phone right now (Samsung A5 2015 Android 6.01)
2.If it is 100% impossible to see USSD codes dialed, is there a program (free) that can record any dialed number code or phone?
3.Is there a program that can block execution of USSD codes on phone level?
Thank you

Question HELP!! Watch 4 Classic -- Cannot activate LTE, with or without QR code. Anybody else? Is watch a lemon??

I was wondering how many people have a Watch 4 Classic that they have successfully activated on any carrier. How many people are NOT able to activate the Watch 4 Classic?
I am one among the so many people who have not been able to activate the Galaxy Watch 4 classic on my service provider. I have spent hours and hours with Verizon reps, including tier 2 support, and they are not able to get it to activate via Wearable app. The Watch was also recently "repaired" by Samsung support (3 days ago) and still it will not activate.
1. Using QR code -- here I have to use the hidden menu to turn on QR code scanning -- I get the error "Code not valid or is already used". The Watch has been set up in both standalone (separate line) and number sharing mode.
2. Without QR code and directly querying the service provider I get error : Error 109: "Your service provider has not set up plan yet".
Now Verizon reps are ghosting me -- they just vanish -- after some time trying to fix the issue. I was with a rep last night trying to fix this who acknowledged that this was known issue and supposedly had fixed the issue for many other users. She almost swore she could fix my issue -- but of course not, and then she ghosted me. She quoted me internal messages from VZW implying the situation is known about internally and QR codes should not be used for these Watches. Whatever.
If anyone has any solutions it is greatly appreciated !!
Took At&t 7months to fix this issue on my daughter's watch. We tried Qr code did not work..numerous esim Sent through mail. The issue was that a rep entered something wrong when we purchased. Only solution for us was to have her cell number changed and we were then able to number sync

Thanks for your reply!
Yes, it does seem that AT&T has finally gotten device-specific QR codes to work. But VZW seems unable to doit, even after two separate chats with their "Tier 2" chat. This is a simple matter of entering the wrong info while setting up the QR Code or the device account because without QR code I get an error "Your service provider has not set up a plan for the device". WTF?
Probably silly question. But have you made sure imei is correct on Verizons end? Make sure they have your watch in their system as wearable and not device. That was another issue we had.

Aha! Is there a difference between Wearable and device? I did not know that distinction existed.....
EDIT: This drew a blank out the Verizon rep. "It is a wactch so it is already a wearable"
