Question Is it possible to extract passwords from a device? - General Questions and Answers

I don't speak English, I hope you can understand me.
My mom uses a huawei y3 II LUA-L21. The touch stopped working. The cell phone starts normally.
I buy a new cell phone. however she does not remember the password of facebook, google etc.
could take the cell phone to a technician to repair the touch, which would lose the sense of having bought a new one.
Any solution?
Note.
They know a custom rom for Samsung Galaxy A01 Core. I didn't find one here.

Setup a new phone should do the trick for you, as for your touch problem you can just buy an OTG cable and use the mouse on it.

When connecting the otg + mouse cable, does the cell phone detect it automatically or am I going to need something else?

buy an otg cable. connect a mouse to the cell phone and it does not detect it.

Unfortunately that's all that can be actually helpful to you.
You only have two choices now:
Try data recovery softwares like dr.fone.
Take it to a service center.

what I want to recover is the google mail.
my mom doesn't remember the password.
she didn't link her number to the google account,
so I can't get it back with that method.
I want to recover the password.
because I have not been able to recover the google account,
with the methods that google offers you.

[Completed] Recently Rooted Galaxy S6 Not getting past decryption by password

Today I decided to root my US Cellular Galaxy S6. I followed the instructions from a link I will comment (new users cannot post links, XDA Forum policy). It all seemed to be going smoothly and my device began to boot. However, as I password encrypted my device not long ago, I had to enter my password to access my device. The problem is now, when booting, it gets to the point where I have to enter my password, but its like the touchscreen does not work. All the actual buttons work, but I cannot use the touchscreen to type in my password. Please Help!

Thank you for that idea. Where could I get a physical keyboard? Would I be able to use it for the first time on a phone that is essentially useless otherwise?

You can use an OTG cable. Connect it to your phone and a USB keyboard. You can find both the cable, and the keyboard at any electronics store. But I'm not sure if you're phone will recognize the keyboard as it is not fully booted. Just hope for the best. Good luck

Samsung S7 Bypass lock screen + no USB debugging enabled/no ROOT + no SAMSUNG account

Hello,
I'm having an issue with the lockscreen. I've been entering my PIN like I always do, but this time it said its incorrect. Not each time I enter my pin it ups the time waiting to 60minutes. I tried to reset using google android device manager, but that doesn't work too.
I'm at a stand still as to how I can access my phone again. I have ADB installed, but this requires my phone to have USB debugging enabled(which it doesn't).
Any ideas how I can get back in to my phone or at least do a backup of my photos? I don't want to wipe data.
Thanks a bunch guys,
Michael
Do a hard reset in recovery you will lose all your data but then you can access your phone again.

Huawei Mate 9 locked - need help

Hello to everyone!
I got my Huawei Mate 9 from Europe 2016-11-27, and set my fingerprint and the password, but when I rebooted the phone, it kept saying that the password is incorrect and fingerprint is unrecognized.
I tried to enter the password and possible combinations (in order I made some horrible typo in the beginning), but it all was useless.
I tried to wipe my data and start over again (hard reset), but wipe didn't work, the password is still there.
Moreover, I tried to use my gmail account that was linked to the Mate 9 and the android device manager (by google) to reset the password on the screen, but it didn't work either.
I also asked for help from the official service center of my country, but they refused to help me (even for money), because the device was made in Europe.
Considering the inability to perform an erecovery (because of the european version), there is no way but to send the device back in europe and wait another 1-1,5 months until it returns..
:crying:
Could anyone, please, give me any tips on how to reset the password and unlock the phone?
I would greatly appreciate your help
Same problem, did you solve it? Did you try to update firmware via three buttons?
Even if erecovery worked it would not erase the password unfortunately. I could get erecovery working for you but I don't think it will provide any solutions.

Unfortunately, no.
I gave my mate back to the store where i bought it (in my country), and they asked their technical specialist to help me, so I'm just waiting and making a list of possible passwords that include 1 typo in any number.
What is important, that this specialist told me that it is not the first time when the device is permanently locked, he's already seen the chinese mate 9 with the same bug.
I tried to report this bug to the support center and wrote them 2 letters over these days, but they just do not respond..

Could you, please, explain why mate 9 acts like some kind of terminator and does not allow me to reset the password in any way?
So there's basically no other solution but to completely format the internal memory at the factory?

Unfortunately, none of the methods that used to work with Mate 8 help with my Mate 9
The bootloader is locked and I wasn't able to enable the developer's mode or root the device before I rebooted it and it locked permanently.
And I don't have any Huawei id..
What is more, the store where I bought the device doesn't even know from which country it came, so they can not send it back for a factory formatting.
Soul crushing despair :crying:
Why haven't you contacted Huawei customer support (international) directly? They have more than one place to call. Did you try calling Europe's division? I know long distance can be annoying, but when you're out of options, it's best to deal with the manufacturer directly. Refusing you seems a bit odd.
Either way, all the best.
Even DC-unlocker (3-rd party tool special for Huawei) still not support out phone. Only way to wait when they will complete researching.
I'm glad it's not so easy to bypass Huawei's security. I'm about to receive my phone, and I would be unnerved if it was stolen and that easy for anyone to access my security login. I'm sure Huawei would help you provided you can show proof of purchase, it doesn't make sense?

Thank you for your advice!
Yes, of course I tried to ask for help from the support senters of other countries.
United Kingdom Hotline: 08000 886 700, I had to find the international code to dial that number: +44 8000 886 700
A nice woman told me that if the device does not reset the password after the hard reset it means that there is something wrong with it and I need to get it checked. She also said that it was ment to be sold in the western Europe, so I should try and call to any countries from that region. She named Italy, Netherland,
France and Germany.
The only foreign language that I know is English, so I had to find a country where I could freel explain the problem to the support team..
Netherland Hotline: 0800 9188. The international code number didn't help: +31 0800 9188, the number is too short dial (mechanical voice tells me that the number is not in use).
Italy Hotline: 800 191 435 With code number: +39 800 191 435. I've also found this number on some forum where people said that they understand english, but I also wasn't able to dial it (the number is not in use).
France and Germany is out of my range because I don't know the language...
Still, I haven't got any solution

I wrote to the DC-unlocker support team and they couldn't give me any information on how long it would take to complete their research and testing, which is sad..
Today I tried to initiate the system update by pressing volume up+down+power buttons while my phone was connected to the PC, aaaand now it's stuck on "Installing update 5%" for more than 1,5-2 hours. If I try to press the power button to switch it off it writes on the screen something like "Please release the power key to prevent the system from crash". Am I doomed? Is it realy stuck on the update and the phone will be bricked is I swith it off?
I suppose that my firmware is MHA-L29C432B109SP02

Of course, I have a full package and a receipt of the store in my country, where I purchased my mate, but that does not help.
Officials in my country refuse to help me, because the device is Euro tested..
I contacted a legal expert and he explained to me that Huawei has no worldwide guarantee and support, that is why in my case I'm left out without help.
If you would really prefer your device to act like an alive brick in any situation just do not unlock your bootloader, do not enable developer's mode and never turn on usb debugging.
Hi DemonRen,
After rebooting fingertip recognition is not accepted, you have to fill up the required Password, but if you have Sim with Pin code before asking for Password it asks for this Pin code.

I've read on the official site after the device locked itself that the fingerprint recognition is not allowed after the reboot, which seems extremely strange to me..
You see, the phone has no Sim card inside (I took it off when I was trying to do the factory reset) and my sim has no activated PIN anyway, so I don't think that's the problem..
It keeps asking for a password

Actually, I tried around 70 variations of my password, including possible typos (the pass is long).
And of course 0000, 000000, 1234 and 123456, even though I was pretty sure that it wouldn't help..
I just wish that Huawei had some service where I could provide all the codes (imed,meid,s/n), pictures of the phone, package and receipt (cheque) and that it would be good enough for them to restore my password instead of refusing to help me
I could even send them my fingerprint, if they need to
Why don't you try to call France or Germany ? Most of the guys now are speaking English at least they can connect you to the one who does.

New S8+ with google FRP problem

Hi All,
I've just received my new S8+ Coral Blue (Korean LGU Plus branded) SM-G955N that I had bought online from Kogan.com.au. I was alittle devastated to see that upon trying to log into it with my Google account, the dreaded "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device" error has occured.
What I've tried:
I've tried factory resetting through stock recovery, but this didnt help.
I've went ahead and downloaded the stock firmware from Sammobile (sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s8/SM-G955N/LUC/download/G955NKSU1AQDG/129793/) and flashed it through Odin. I've made sure to flash everything - the AP, BL, CP, Home CSC but the issue is still present.
Is there anyway to get rid of this damned error without rooting or voiding warranty?
Please help!

Ok....heres a different way....when you reach at the add account pop up....type any random word and hold it down until you get another pop up then tap on assist....when the google app pop up type test dpc and download it when you complete that contact me
Do you know which software the phone is currently on? You should be able to find the version it's currently on in the recovery menu.
There's only one descent solution:
Return the phone where you bought it and:
1. ask there the log-in account
2. ask for a new phone
You'll never pass FRP (and that's a good thing, in case the phone has been stolen)

Ugh, is this really the only thing to do?. I dont think they would know the login account as I bought it from an online retailer shop. The box wasn't opened and all the stickers on the box were still there (until I opened the box of course).
Theres videos of people passing FRP online. I do believe there would be a way around this. But if it comes to it I can always return it.

Flash the combo fw and eng boot. Should fix your problem
Honestly its quicker and easier for you to return it to Kogan ASAP and get a working replacement *fingers crossed* in your hands quicker.
If anyone is claiming to have a quick fix on YouTube I would be apprehensive and venture to guess that they're just out to make a quick buck off of some unsuspecting suckers. It seems there was some method for the s7 on MM but after some light reading I am under the impression that this method doesn't work on Android 7.0 Nougat.
There may legitimately be a fix out there somewhere but I feel like I would have seen it by now when you include other threads where this FRP question has been brought up. Again I could be wrong but I still think it's just not worth the effort tbh.

setup problems with Samsung A71

Hello all,
i have a strange Problem with my A71 which i use as a work phone. We got the order to migrate some internal stuff which makes it necessary to reset the mobile phone. in the description i think they missed one important point, delete / unenroll the google account first and then make a reset...but i'm not sure.
Because now after i done the reset it's not possible to get to the screen where it is possible to enter the google credentials. Means the telephone starts, i enter the PIN from the SIM, accept the User terms and conditions, log into my W-LAN, the phone search for updates, ask me if i might be restore data from an old phone. After that a quick screen pops up with the note "Checking" and then i see the error
Log in not possible
There was a problem communicating with the Google servers, please try again later.
In addition. When i try to connect with the normal mobile network, it says thats not possible to connect with the internet
What we have here?
is it the FRP or any other "the phone is locked" thing? and how i can resolve this problem?
Because the SIM is working fine...tested with another phone. And the W-LAN is working as well.
Thanks in advance

go download the fosctory FW from sammobile.com/firmware and use samfirm to actually download it (its literally 4x faster than directly from the site) and flash it with the CSC instead of the HOME_CSC. Once you do that, itll think its a brand new phone and itll truly factory reset it which recovery factory reset doesnt do really. If you were wanting to keep your data on the device, youd use HOME_CSC. Thats the only difference between the two, but its a BIG difference and ive seen people use the wrong one multiple times LOL myself included LOLOLOL
