Hi all, I just got the Note 9. Just wow. I love it. Graduated from the GOAT phone, Note 4.
So I have the S-View Case. Is there any way to turn Speaker Phone on or Mute after answering a call? Unless I'm missing something, they took those buttons out. Just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something. No idea why, they were useful. Just a giant End Call. I'm on VZW with the latest OneUI 2.5 and all updates. Thanks! Longtime listener first time caller here. Helped me ROM my Note 3 here back in the day.

I just want to say I am heartbroken because I loved loved my Infuse. However, I had to take it back because of the speakerphone and other issues. During the course of having the device it would:
1. Not turn off on it's on. Meaning, I could be on a speakerphone and while talking the screen would go black. Well, the proper behavior is the phone would be triggered to turn back on when the call is done. However, mine wouldn't. I would have to press the power button and then end the call. Is this normal behavior?
2. Everyone could hear me well, however people sounded muffled to me. I could be talking to someone then all of a sudden they would sound robotic, cut in and out, and garbled. This devastated me the most.
3. Aesthetics - While I loved the messenger app, etc,. I could not get over the black blackground white text of the calendar. It was HORRID!!!! Also, I could not stand the overly cartoonish icon backgrounds.
In the scheme of things I loooooooooved that phone and the GPS was superb. Now, I have the Inspire and I am miserable. It is slow, the GPS NEVER locks and it feels like a boy next to the man Infuse.
I'm still within my 30 days and am seriously considering taken this Inspire back. Oh! People keep scaring me saying that Samsung is never going to update their software.
Please help me and advise (will be posting on Android Central and XDA for maximum response). Thank you --- Ang
Come back to the infuse! The launcher can be changed if you have a problem with the theme and incremental updates should roll out eventually. I haven't had the same issues as you with the speakerphone though. Weird

I suggest you go back and get the Infuse again! Not all phones are made perfect so maybe the Infuse you had had that voice issue. I don't like how Touchwiz looks either so I use Launcher Pro, it's much better!! As for the calendar you can always get a new calendar app. I've had my Infuse for a bit more than a day and I really like it! Much better than the Atrix I had!
Wow....
A little go launcher here, go contacts there, some handcent sms mixed in with a lil android agenda widget, topped off with a splash of beautiful Widgets. It's the perfect recipe to compliment a near perfect phone.
Sorry you weren't able to experience it.

OP,
I had your 1. issue.. "Not turn off on it's on." on my Infuse. Got it replaced & new one doesn't have that issue.
Is there a key combo or soemthing to mute the surface, since I got my AR Touch Cover I've managed to mute the Surface a few times for what I can see is no reason at all....

If your muting the device without meaning to, then many people (Me) have had this problem, it's to do with the touch cover being broken.
I got mine replaced and it works fine now.... MS really ****ed up on this device, this is one of many problems you will run into with the touch cover.

Occasionally if I swipe in or press the touchpad edge just SO on the touch cover I'll see the volume thing go to mute. Agree its odd.
Just to be sure, you're aware that there actually is a Mute button on the cover (Fn+F1... except in this case if you actually want F1 it's Fn+Mute), right?
Been on chat with support again, they know about it and there is a fix in the pipeline..
So far by Surface experiance has gone really well..
Originally got Surface about 2 weeks after they came out.
back end of last year the unit was swapped out as the mSd card slot was a bit hit and miss as to it working.
Got an advanced replacament.
New device the touch cover wouldnt always bring the device out of standby, support suggested a new touch cover.
Get an advanced replacement.
New touch cover seems to have the mute problem.
Spoke to chat, its not an issue with the hardware and a patch is in the pipeline..
That said I like the device and will be getting a Pro when it comes out.
Hey boys…
A few weeks ago I bought Samsung s4 (i9505) and love myself I it, but:
Yesterday my friend bought me is thereby been noticeable, who presses if her the volume keys HTC One and, everyone times another tone comes.
I white, as I that to exactly explain do not know… the s4 always make the same “bieb” with the Lautstäretasten, whereby the s4 always makes another “bieb”, depending upon volume.
Now I ask myself: Is it somehow possible to get this feature also on the s4?
I have those omega v5.0-Rom, if that is important?
Thanks already in ahead!
Unfortunately after i installed a "wet install" screen protector on my sprint note 4, my home button is no longer working. Fingerprint scan does work just nit the buttin itself. I hear it clicking and i opened the phone and cleaned with alchohol, i think the board is shorted out. Does anyone know where i can buy/find a replacement? The model number is SPH N910BKS. Thank you.
Are you able to reach the button and Press it down?
If the protector is too thick, then you'll not even reach the Button!
The Galaxy Note 4 Is a High-End-Smartphone which mustn't break soo fast. So it's possibly no damage.
Maybe someone threw your phone down to you as a revenge (if you've got somebody that really hates you, but i hope there's no body like that.
Have a nice daý!
So probably few of you already know that S22U is using a x axis motor instead of z-axis. This new motor is used to enhance the haptic feedback, however this has reduced the vibration intensity on the device. I got the device last day and was driving with device in my pocket on vibration mode. I missed notifications and calls for an urgent situation as the vibration was so soft and i didn't noticed it. Luckily i had old s8+ on me where i got notified.
My situation doesn't allow me to have a ringer on all the time. I am now thinking of returning the device just because of this. I really loved everything else on this device. Sad to see that samsung engineers screwed this up. No more pre orders going forward.
The vibration motor doesn't really bother me. I am able to feel whenever it goes off in my pocket. And I don't wear skinny jeans lol. Maybe you would be happier with a Motorola since you are a Motorola lover?
I'm experiencing the same with my s22 ultra. I'm coming from a S20 plus which the vibration alone could be used as an alarm clock. Definitely disappointing, considering how much of an upgrade this phone is.

I remember when the s21 came out and reviewers were complaining that the motor was too strong when it was laying down on a table. It was too loud. Now they make a motor that's quieter and now people complain that it's too quiet. It's a rough business

Seems to me to be why there is a setting to adjust the strength to one's personal likes. The issue is it only goes so high. I agree with the OP. I noticed it being weaker despite being set wide open.

Nah.. i ain't happy with motorola anymore.. there was a time. Anyhow.. good for you if you don't find vibration an issue. But it certainly is much more weak. If S21U had strong vibration.. people had option to dial it down.. Here the problem is weak and we don't have an option to increase it, unless samsung does some sort of firmware upgrade to increase intensity further.
A reviewer noted that they're using a different vibration motor this year. It's definitely less strong and there was mention that it moves in a different direction than previous models.

Haha, for that price tag, I want it to be one though!
Have my 22 Ultra for a week now.... had to change the vibration to another pattern, otherwise I wouldn't recognize it at all..... that a major downgrade from my old S20 6.1".
People shouldn't call this an improvement at all, thats some kind of fanboysm.
Vibrations purpose is to quietly inform you that you are receiving a call or message, if that does work worse than before, bad decisions have been made.
I still have the possibility to just enable notification vibration on my Galaxy Watch4 , but this comes at the cost of enabling this for every damn notification (teams, telegram, whatsapp.... ) and you know that this is draining the battery pretty fast.... especially if you have friends that spam every now and then...
Samsung implemented the x-axis in the most terrible way. Hopefully Samsung can fix this via an update, but highly doubt it since it's most likely the hardware.
I actually love the refined feel to the motor. It feels great in the hand.

only when its in hand.. if its in your pocket..(specially with loose pants / jackets ) .. you won't even feel the vibration and will miss notifications & calls !
samsung posted an update on the issue -
Why the vibration mode does not work properly on Galaxy S22 Series?
Why the vibration mode does not work properly on Galaxy S22 Series?
www.samsung.com
the vibraton is to low since s6 edge, on note 20 ultra i dont notice any message and on s22 ultra it is more less as before , i ask me why samsung not remove the motor, because for this low intensity it is as it has no motor,
i make it with soundmanager of goodlook app, with custom vibration and make a pattern very long so it's a little pit better, maybe someone make a app like light flow to set a costume vibraton for every app
why they build in so a less motor? they can build in a stronger and more options to set the intensity,

Coming from an s21u I definitely feel the difference in the vibration intensity as well. In my case, what "solved" this issue for me was pairing my s22u with a samsung smartwatch. That way I can feel the notifications vibrations in my arm and never miss it. I know it's not a solution for everyone, but it worked for me at least..
