Custom kernels on stock - Google Pixel 4a Questions & Answers

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone tried using blu_spark or HolyDragon kernel on stock and can share their experience?
Did battery life improve? Performance? Was something worse than stock?
Thanks in advance!

Which ICS ROM?
Yes, root and custom recovery is available. Search the development section and you will find it. As for the battery life. You can install a custom kernel, and usually get more battery life.
The official update that was in the .zip. I'm hating the battery on this.
Custom Kernel might help on battery drain issue. Matr1x kernel seems to be a good choice for this.
You can also check bedalus work on battery drain:

[Q] Kernel to use with Wind P999 on Froyo 2.2?

Hi
I am with Wind Mobile and have gone back to the Froyo 2.2 rom which came originally installed on the phone due to GPS issues with all of the other roms.
I am actually pretty happy with the performance and stability except the amount the battery lasts as compared to other roms.
Could someone recommend a kernel I can use with the stock froyo rom to get maximum battery life without compromising on stability.
Thanks in advance

Yup, I thought you had to have root to flash other roms.
I just wanted to know people's experiences especially those who have used another kernel with Wind Stock Rom. Or if you know of a kernel which is stable with most roms and will likely increase the battery life? I have tried Trinity in the past with CM7 and it was pretty good... would that likely work?
Thanks

Well, some times depends on your phone sometimes it does not like some how kernels.
Try using Faux thats my first choice sorry devs but thats my chose, and if it gets laggy (slow)
Try using Trinity, thats my second chose, its pretty nice but like i said depends on your Device, its strange on how phones reacts on the custom kernels defferently .

Rom/Kernel

I wonder which combination of rom and kernel do you guys recommend for strictly battery life!?
currently on cm13 with built in kernel. it's not bad but are there better options especially after tweaking the kernel?
greetings
Use what you think is best, every device reacts differently to a kernel. Flash the available options see what fits best for you.
I recommend fire kernel, my kernel (ruthless) or Optimus kernel.
Honestly, without significant tweaking, stock rom and kernel provide the best battery life.

Missing my favorite kernel

What happened to the development of the Xceed kernel? By far the best and fastest kernel I've ever used.
Anyone have a link?

Thank you for your response but I have already tried it and flashed back to stock after 2 days of extreme battery drain.
