how to trasfer the photos from my desk top to Umidigi F1 phone - General Questions and Answers

any experts on this forum please tell me how to copy the photo from my desk top to my umidigi F1 phone. When I connected the USB cable supplied with the phone on my computer and checked the device manager I don't see it connected.Thank you im advance.

Maybe you should change a USB cable. And after connecting, pull down the notification bar, and tap on the connection mode item to open the USB Preferences page, select File Transfer. Then you could transfer photos.

Needs both an USB-C cable is used and MTP ( read: Media Transfer Protocol ) must got enabled on phone.
If MTP is not working on Windows 10 there is still the possibility that the USB device driver on the PC is failing.
To re-install it
On the PC, open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\INF
Locate the file 'wpdmtp.inf', right-click on that file and select Install
The installation should take only a couple of seconds, and MTP should be working

Solve your connection problem with pc

Hey guys here is the way to connect to pc
Case 1(your phone drivers are not installed correctly)
The best way is to install kies Download samsung usb drivers for mobile phones
Use moborobo pc suite
Case 2(u have installed drivers properly but still it is not recognized)
"Run "regedit"and select the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/MountedDevices" folder. See all the "Dos Devices" listed? You'll have one entry for each physically mounted drive (HDD or Disc) plus you'll have one show up for each USB drive you attempt to insert. Double click each device listed and seeifyou seetextsaying something like"U.S.B.S.T.O.R...". Once you find that device, right click it and select "Rename". Now change the drive letter to something unused... like Q: or something. Close regedit, disconnect the USB device and reconnect
Try this it works:thumbup:

Unable to connect Note 8 to PC

I have a Samsung Note 8, and ever since the OS upgraded to Oreo I can't seem to connect my PC to the phone for media transfers and such. I have set the phone to usb debugging on developer options. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
In 'device manager' of your Windows PC, can you find your Note 8 in USB Device List?
Uninstall it there, then connect your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to computer with USB cable. Your computer would install a driver automatically.
After the driver successfully installed, your Note 8 would be recognized as a portable device.
Step 2: After the driver successfully installed, your Note 8 would be recognized as a portable device.

My PC doesn't show my Note 8. Nor does my note 8 give me the option to switch to media transfer. It only shows "charging" on the drop down. I have the developer options set to USB debugging. And I've tried setting the USB settings on all setting mtp, etc..

Follow these steps on your Windows PC:
a. Click “Start” and click “Run.”
b. Type “devmgmt.msc” and hit “Enter.”
c. Expand “Universal Serial Bus controllers.”
Check if there is some item has yellow exclamation.
If yes, right-click that item and select uninstall,
disconnect Note 8 to PC,
reconnect Note 8 to PC with usb cable,
wait Windows to install driver for Note 8.
Can you tell me how to post?

I have done this and it shows nothing. In this picture. I have my Note 8 plugged in, and as you can see, its not showing on the USB controller. The USB hubs are working, I usually run an external hard drive from it. I've tested all the other hubs and they work fine.

If then, try to download USB driver for your Note 8 from Samsung official website -
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/
Or you may try to make use of a Windows utility by Samsung, Samsung Kies.
Good luck to you.

Android file transfer using a USB cable

Hi,
For some reason I can no longer transfer files from my Android device to my Linux PC using Android File Transfer.
I can list the device:
sudo adb devices -l
List of devices attached
????????? device usb:1-4 product:OnePlus5T model:ONEPLUS_A5010 device:OnePlus5T transport_id:2

but Andorid File Transfer (version 4.2) wouldn't start with this phone. When I attach an older phone (Nexus 4) all is fine and I can transfer files without problem.
USB Debugging is enabled on the device.
On USB Preferences File Transfer is selected. Other options are USB tethering, MIDI, PTP, No data transfer.
Any help will be appreciated.
Update: problem solved - had to use root privilidges
Try another cable. Cliché but it's often the culprit. When you get the USB mode popup just cancel it and it'll decide on its own. Disable USB debugging as it doesn't need to be on. Try other USB ports, or the last one it was known working on. Failing that see if there's a proprietary software. Microsoft Your Phone Companion might help..

Asking about wifi ftp file transfer server to pc without asking for permission

Hello everyone

but the problem is every wifi ftp server is asking for permission to start and ofc i cant do this because touch isnt working
so i want to install app via google play using my google account that allow me to access my phone files without permission
any ideas ??
It doesn't need Internet to transfer data like pictures or PDF files from phone to PC:
If phone is USB-OTG-enabled then all you need is an USB-OTG-adapter cable to access the files from PC: the phone then acts like a USB-stick ( USB host ).
Of course PC must support USB-OTG, too, and phone should be fully charged.
How-To ( Windows PC ):
Unlock your device.
With a USB-OTG cable, connect your device to your computer.
On your device, tap the "Charging this device via USB" notification.
Under "Use USB for," select File Transfer.
A file transfer window will open on your computer. Use it to drag files.
When you're done, eject your device from Windows.
Unplug the USB-OTG cable.
download scrcpy and extract it: https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy
connect your phone to pc via usb
go to extract folder, hold Shift key and right click -> choose run powershell -> input command:
scrcpy --otg
