Hello,
could anyone tell me please how I can export SMS messages from my phone?
I already searched the web and as well the forum here but I did not find a good solution.
I have root access on the phone.
In addition I would like to prevent to install any commercial app, either no .apk and such.
Prefered is the manual way within the filesystem.
Thanks!
cheers

I want to completely wipe my xda IIi and rebuild but am looking for a way to save all my sms messages as individual .txt files (so that i can archive them to my desktop). I have about 2000 sms messages.
I was wondering whether there was an application (preferably free) that would automatically do this for me?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Search the forum.
I had a look before posting but couldn't find anything. I'll have another look now

As a rule, I use neither SMS or MMS, but need to send Contact details by email frequently.
I note that people have previously asked how to change the Send as vCard behavior to use email accounts instead of MMS. But the questions are a little old now.
Does anyone have an answer yet, either for WM6.0 Smartphone or WM6.1 Touchscreen?
Thx.
*bump*
I sorely miss this feature. I was wondering if it could not be achieved by editing the registry. Anyone?
Has anyone found how to do this, I realise its an old question, but it would be handy to know?
Yes, this is not existing. Unbelievable !
I'm using a workaround for this.
1st/ start a send vcard (MMS)
2nd/ the card is stored in folder /temp. Filename seems always to be 'me.vcf'
3rd/ attach it to a normal email using whatever kind of file explorer !!
I'm open to any kind of better solution or workaround !
Hi, I didn't really know how to word this in the title so I'll explain here.
I'm currently creating themes (For the SEX1) and I need to know the links within WM to access certain applications and parts of the UI, for example:
To access messaging I link "\Windows\tmail.exe"
however, if I want to get directly to SMS messaging or a certain email inbox, how do I adapt the above link?
Other than messaging I currently want to get to the battery interface (shows the charge level and options etc).
Is there somewhere I can find a list of these or a way I can find it out myself from the UI?
Thanks.

Thank you.
Thank you kindly. I did have a brief look, but when you don't know the name of what you're searching for, it's hard to search
Hello.
Can anyone tell me a good SMS manager software?
One that I can select messages from someone and move into a specific folder?
Or one that I can "backup" or save SMS to a single readable file that I can store and read in a computer?
Thanks in advanced!
Take a look at MyPhone. Sounds like just what you need.
I really don't understand the concept behind MyPhone. I'd like a software that I could store (in my computer, not in web) my sms. In order to read them in the computer...
I suggest Jeyo.
Easy and fast, it does everything, you'll love it.
Hi, I can not find this thopic via forum search. If you guys discussed it allready please link me to that topic.
I am looking for SMS backup / spy software. I tryed several but no one does the job as it soppous to do.

I am looking for aplicatiion which will copy incoming and outgoing SMS to email, or can be visible on line.
I found SMS BOX, which do this nicelly, but it is visible in aplications. So user can just uninstall it.
Did you find similar aplication that is invisible ?
