My Mi accout didn't add in "Mi Unlock Status". - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

When I add my Mi account in "Mi Unlock Status" section, it didn't add. It shows that, it added. But, it didn't. How can I solve this?

try removing your account first, then login back and then try adding your account,
else you could try to insert the same SIM card that's registered with you account and then binding the account with device.

Connecting Infuse to Microsoft Exchange Server....Help!

Im trying to connect my Infuse to a ms exchange server. The phone is running 2.2 and is not rooted. I have selected setup a new mail account. I have put in the following:
[email protected]password
Then I hit "manual setup" and selected ms exchange server.
Then for "domain\username" i have sunsetcorp\username
Password is entered
for "exchange server" I have mail.sunset.corp
Then I also have use secure connection and accept all ssl certificates checked.
Its says "checking incoming server settings". Then I get "Setup could not finish ... unable to connect to server"
Do I the settings wrong or am I missing something?
Looks like u have it set ok. I have to do [email protected]/password and run it multiple times to get it to sync the first time. Keep trying its not perfect at all. You can also try droidmail if u still can't get it

I would ask your IT dept. for the exact server information to be sure you are inputting the correct server info. Everything else is good to go in your setup so it has to be the server name is not correct causing the failed connection.

Take out the domain setup all together.
I run SBS 2003 and you do not need to set up the domain. I run the following on dozens of phones.......
Domain/Username (must be exact usually with no spaces)
Password (case sensitive)
Exchange Server (mail.yourcompany.com)
uncheck Use secure connection (You can check it later if you wish after you have it working)
Hope this helps! If so please hit the thanks button for me!
For the exchange server try using the IP address of the server. This is the only way I could get mine to work.
This sounds silly, but have you ever connected another phone to this server? That setting isn't always available. Also, I've found the / or \ can make a huge difference. Also, check to make sure you are using the primary email account and not a secondary alias for the username. The email address can be an alias but username has to be the actual NT username. Hope that helps!

Have been using Exchange for years and work very closely with our Exchange guy's and the username must be Domain\Username if you are on a 2003 box and usually but not always the username on 2007/2010 would be the email address but the Domain\Username should also work according to the experts. If you are using Active Sync which we are I am pretty sure that SSL is a requirement because it connects to Exchange using RPC over HTTP protocol and requires SSL being enabled. Like I said a quick call to your IT people should get it working toot sweet.

I use SBS2003 and do not have the domain name. User name only. (the domain username though) Been working for years that way. mail server is the important one to have the domain address correct in. mail.xxxxxxx.com
If I put the domain name in front of the username it does not connect.....

Finding lost phone.

Hello, my sister lost her phone. Is there a way to recover it ?
The gps was off when the phone was lost.
In India there Is a way to to find a lost phone which is switched on and has a Sim card inserted then we can contact Sim provider to get the location of phone
Try this if possible as quickly as possible as if the phone gets discharged there is no other way
Sent from my GT-I5800 using xda app-developers app
I did try, the carrier is Vodafone and i was told that they can only block the sim card from being used. So no luck there.
Thanks.
Wished you had Where's my droid app. It switches the gps manually when we send the command through SMS. Or did you turned mobile tracker?
Since our phone has a gps, there should be some app in that phone which can track, possible a anti virus like Lookout?
Unfortunately she didn't have any apps like that. What is mobile tracker ?
25. What is Mobile Tracker and how to set it up? (Highly recommended // Enabled it in case you lose your phone) (for Kyrillos rom v9.4+)
- The Samsung Galaxy 3 comes with a mobile tracker software by default which is not activated, as you need to register your phone and account with the Samsung online website. Only then the option works and your phone goes more safer, as the Mobile tracker is one of the best options to use when your phone is stolen or lost.
The Samsung Dive mobile tracker is something that helps you remotely work on your phone when it is stolen. The online website of its helps you in remotely swiping the phone and delete delete your private data. Though this service is not available in India, a few features of its work, like prompt SMS sending when the phone is used with any new SIM than that which was used to register with the mobile tracker. The app also helps in getting the location information of the phone.
- How to set it up (source):
α. Go to Applications => Settings section in the phone. Select Location and Security tab in it.
β. Scroll down in the menu in Location and Security, and you will see a section for Mobile tracker. Here you need to hit the “Set Mobile Tracker” option which will set the mobile tracker recipient and control the remote phone that is activated. It will take you through the process of registration and set-up of the mobile tracker.
γ. The first thing you need to set is the mobile tracker password which would be asked to you or anyone who changes the SIM in the phone. It has to be of 8 digits and all numeric characters in it. You need to remember this password for always, as it can get your phone locked if you forget it and type the wrong password multiple times.
δ. After you set the password, you need to add recipients to whom the phone sends an SMS from the new SIM to notify/alert them about the changes made in the phone.
ε. Set the information of the sender, i.e. the Sender name and the message to be sent to the recipient. And then agree to the terms.
στ. Login through your Samsung account, and if you have not registered to it, you can do that for free online by registering the product. And then you would be directed to the mobile tracker settings where you can change any recipient or make changes in the samsung account.
ζ. After everything is setup, go back to the Settings section, and into the Location and Security section. There you have to check the “Mobile Tracker” option, so that it is activated.
Note: If at all you have reset your phone through the factory reset option, all the information in the Mobile tracker is lost. You need to set it all over again.
- Now if you lose your phone or somebody stole it, you can track it and/or lock it and/or wipe all your private data in SamsungDive.

SIM/RUIM is Perso locked - No service

I have looked into what this could mean, and finding that I have a pin on my sim but I dont
I can put my sim in my origonal device and works fine
this phone has been flashed with 2 roms both no signal only the 2nd rom was giving me this message at top of screen
one thing though, I am having to enter the sim unlock(phone lock from Three) code every time I reboot the phone, I obtained this code using the famous term emulater and running that specific string, this code enters fine and says
SSIM network unlock PIN, enters code, then gets - SIM Network unlock successful
any ideas
Forgot to add, if I go to settings, security, setup SIM/RUIM card lock
I click lock sim card and specify a code
Then tells me it cant because there already is one
I can choose Change SIM PIN, by entering the old one (12345? guess) then a new one
I have 1 attempt remaing before I have to contact my phone carrier
Phone is from 3 Mobile but my Sim is from O2, if I put this sim into my origonal device there is no PIN
Any ideas?

I would follow the other method on that guide and SIM unlock that way. It will be 100% successful and then you will know if your SIM card has a pin lock or if your device is having trouble. Remember that you need to be on gingerbread firmware to use the diag.nbh so search the forums and read up before you act

mi account issue

I created an Mi account using JIO sim. But I forgot to take a copy of auto generated password by system. Now when I go to reset the password, I have to go through verification of mobile number.
But during the verification,in the first attempt itself it's showing an cautionary message of exceeding the attempts and to try again after 24 hours.
It's been after 5 days I'm getting the same error.
I tried the same in different mobile using another JIO sim again. The story repeats same. Where as there's no problem with other service providers like Airtel, etc. Pls help

eSIM - Carrier field not visible

Hi,
So I'm trying to understand why the "Carrier" field is not showing up when no sim card is inserted that would allow me to add a carrier that give me a QR Code.
- Here the page without sim card inserted: https://gyazo.com/1d749dcd667b8a2f64fa122f03ef9699
- If Insert a T-Mobile sim card the "carrier" is here: https://gyazo.com/21be899319eaa441e328499fc8bc7c91 (If I click on it I can then add and scan a QR code: https://gyazo.com/b3fc9df6b1388e1446aca4929a05e889)
- If I insert a sim card from a french carrier in France, I don't get the "carrier" field: https://gyazo.com/1548535a81e1c957d615366766ca1115
So it seems that Google don't allow to add a carrier if no sim card is inserted, which makes no sense, as the first idea about eSIM is to not have a sim card.
Any idea what's happening?
PS: this is issue is not happening with an iPhone. A carrier can be added and a QR code scanned without any sim.
So no one?

Which device is this, what firmware are you on, my menu options look slightly different. Do you have eSim manager installed from the PS?
What do you mean "Which device?" I'm in Google Pixel 3 thread. I don't know the firmware, the latest from Google. Didn't touch it.
Yes eSIM manager is installed I can see it when I search for it.

Ok, been known to happen is all. Some Pixel 3s cannot use the eSim, i.e. Verizon model. I wonder if that's your issue? In developer options can you toggle the OEM switch or is it grayed out? My menu options look slightly different but I can't get to the device right now to screenie. But check to make sure your eSim is available.
I'm not sure you read carefully the initial thread. I can get the eSIM if I insert a T-Mobile sim card.

Believe me, I read the post about 10 times now. I'm still confused. lol. Ok let me try to sort this out for myself.
When there is no physical sim in the device you have no carrier option, right? When you first setup the device did it give you the option to go "sim-less"? When you put in the sim that allows you to scan the QR code does that work? I mean can you actually scan a QR code and activate the network on the eSim? I'm asking because when I had a Verizon device I could scan a QR code but nothing got setup.
I actually have 2 Pixel 3s now and I'm about to return one of them Once I get the second one setup I'll remove the physical sim and screen shot it for you.
"When there is no physical sim in the device you have no carrier option, right?"
=> Correct.
When you first setup the device did it give you the option to go "sim-less"?
=> Yes. It just continue the setup without sim.
=>When you put in the sim that allows you to scan the QR code does that work?
Yes everything works thereafter as long as I have the option to add a carrier visible.

This is what I get with no sim..
Do you get this right after the initial set up (with "sim-less" option) ? Or you already put a previous sim?

I had everything already set up. Then I transferred my Fi account to the new device, removed the physical sim, and then reset the network options so nothing was retained. I guess that's different than what you have. I'm about to factory reset and return the device. Anything you'd like me to try? I'm not sure why you don't get the carrier option with one sim and not the other. If you initially set up the eSim on startup can you then just pop in the physical sim and be fully functional or does the option get removed so you can't switch? Which version of eSim manager do you have?
Mine is C.1.3.84 (535307067)
Maybe you can try from a factory reset to see if you have the "Add carrier" option available?
"If you initially set up the eSim on startup..."
=> I can't do this, I don't get the eSIM option. I never get the "add carrier" so...
"I'm not sure why you don't get the carrier option with one sim and not the other."
=> One of the reason I may think of, is T-Mobile is already offering eSIM Plans where my french sim card from my french carrier is not and maybe Google is dectecting this. But anyway the "add carrier" should be here with or without sim card.

version C 1.3.84-google (5307067)

Factory reset.. I do get the add carrier option. I also get the "use eSim" option on startup. If you don't get that then I believe your eSim is not active.
Do you get "use eSIM" after you connect over Wifi? Maybe there is some location restriction.
Updated eSIM manager to latest version as a new version has been released yesterday as per: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/esim-manager/esim-manager-d-1-5-11-google-5358093-release/
D.1.5.11-google (5358093)
but it didn't solve the issue. Also tried a reset, nothing...

That I don't recall, but probably not. I think if you do it that way by bypassing the initial startup then you have to go in and do it manually. No sure though.
The option is right there. "Have a QR code from your carrier? Scan it now"

Where?
Sorry, I was looking at a screenshot from @bobby janow Try to add the eSIM with T-MO SIM inserted, then remove it and see if the menu stays.
The menu stays if an eSIM is added. But that's not what I aim to do. I need to have the "Add carrier" by default (no T-Mobile sim needed).
