Latest MiUI is buggy? - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Shouldn't the icons in the new Control Centre look a bit more closer to each other? Particularly the boxes for mobile data, wifi, bluetooth, and flashlight.
Anyone else experiencing this?

MIUI 12.08.

I'm on 12.0.7 Stable.
It sometimes look like your screenshot. After restarting it looks like this.

Your display size is set to XS.
This will mess up the Control Center.
Set it to normal and your control center will be back to normal.

I see. But I like the text on my phone to be this small. Should I just sacrifice the looks of the control center? Or will they patch this up?

I highly doubt this will be "patched" because I personally feel there's nothing TO patch here. They'd have to make designs for all the combinations of Screen + Font sizes.
I personally hate the Control Center because it has more useless information on it and a convoluted process to get basic things done as compared to regular old Quick Actions.

MIUI is basically trying hard to be Apple and implementing this Control Center garbage while completely forgetting that it is efficient on Apple because they have something called Force Touch.

What application/plugin/whatever is this?

I remember seeing tons of screenshots for this and figuring/hoping whenever I upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1, it would be there. Well, it's not, or at least not in Verizon's installation. What is this application or plugin and where can I get it? It is something I can install just like I've done with the HTC home plugin or is it something that has to be in the rom? Thanks, and sorry if I'm asking a question that's been asked a billion times before. I have no idea what to call this .

The screen shots are both from a WM6.1 Standard device. Do you have a Standard (ie no touch screen) or a Professional (with a touch screen)?
Professional (with touchscreen). So you're saying that layout is only intended for non touchscreen models? That sucks. I think that's a much cleaner layout than the out-the-box layout professional offers. Any ideas or am I just out of luck? Thanks.

You could browse through the countless number of themes and launchers available.
Guess it's time to find a new HTC touch home launcher. Thanks.
If I were you I would invest in Wisbar Advance Desktop. You could easily achieve this with it.
Never heard of it before. Looks pretty sharp, thanks for the heads up!
There is also a throttle launcher skin which looks similar to this. I think it is the windows mobile 7 skin. If you do a search it should come up pretty quickly.

Night Backgrounds for alarms, anyone got a good one?

GAlarm has a great background when the alarm is up. Sadly, it is not available. So I was wondering if anyone had any backgrounds they currently use as the backdrop for their alarm. My phone background is way too busy, and a black screen is so boring.
How about this one?

Shameless bumping I am a fan of phone backgrounds in general.
Are you more concerned with the image you fall asleep too, or the one you wake up too? If that makes sense...I realize it'll be that same pic, it's all about the mood, I guess.
I found a nice little app called "lightning bug" that is a nice sleep enhancement device,
Customizable backrounds, ambient sounds etc..

My images were 640x480. However, I did just find one of them on the following page and it has some higher resolutions:
http://www.androidcentral.com/android-wallpaper-ringtone-tutorial
What is the recommended resolution for a captivate wallpaper?
All Galaxy S/Captivate (others like Nexus 1/S, and more) should use 960x800 wallpapers for best results.

Hello guys!
The Screen On application was a success and we thought it could be a great idea to expand the abilities of this application. We developed a new application called App Auto Settings, that works exactly as the Screen On application but let's you take control not only of the screen, but of WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, GPS and volume!
We have tested the app in as many devices as we could and it works fine, but please try it and report any bugs, suggestions or ideas, we cannot test it in all those mobile phones...

Thx for share.
Not seeing option for GPS on SGSII.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Edit: 20/11/2011
So is this a beta limitation? or a limitation of GB where programs can not call for GPS on without user request like Tasker?
well, that's my bad...
at first, we wanted to take control of the GPS, but unfortunately for security reasons (good in my opinion), Google decided that only the user will be able to enable and disable the GPS, so we removed it from the application.
The screenshot though is old, and I will replace it!
Thank you for noticing it!
OK, I'm confused. No offense, but it is not very intuitive. I just downloaded it, and I cannot tell the difference between Red and Green on the Screen Timeout in the On Charge profile, and either way I set it, the screen timed out! Also, on WiFi and such, what's the difference between Red, Green and the white box? I also don't see my Navigation app.
good app

this is good? 5 year old and outdated libraries? open your eyes...

So, I apparently enabled an alternative look for the battery indicator? Here's how.

EDIT: I AM AN ASS - Changing the setting I talk about below simply somehow reverts the Poco theme to the standard theme. I am sorry.
EDIT 2: Maybe I'm not that big of an ass! It appears the bar icons are the ones from the classic theme, but everything else belongs to the Poco theme (and settings tell me the Poco theme is active). Interesting, Or maybe I'm just going crazy.
I'm not sure this is the right section to post this to. If it isn't, mods, you are of course free to move it to questions.
To the point: latest stable MIUI, Poco Launcher, I was toying with developer options (I will explain below) and my battery indicator changed to this...

...which I happen to think looks way better than the simple straight-corner rectangle I had before (that I've seen on ALL screenshots, videos, other images online pertaining the stock config).
How I did it is pretty simple: Developer options > Simulate display with a cutout > Select the second option (the one immediately below the default one), then select Simulate etc. again and go back to the default option ("None").
Beware though, it didn't happen the first time I followed these steps, but the second time it did.
Let me know what you think happened. Meanwhile...I dig it!
Do you know that you can customise miui theme lol

Question White border under the font

It's totally annoying. Does anyone have it too? or know a remedy? There is always a white border under the font.

Not that I can see...
I have the same problem... I could probably live with it, but it's a bit irritating. Going to try a ROM and see if that fixes the problem, otherwise it's probably a display issue

Can't image this having to be done. If the location doesn't change and its always visible then it would be the display especially if it was still there on reboot or during the advanced menus on boot. The ROM shouldn't cause a line though. Each app gets drawn to the screen fully.
It is possible though to have an overlay app like the Samsung side bar causing it though. That one can be disabled in settings. Since those draw on top of everything and so could do the same thing but only while the OS is in use. This should be the only way for it to not be the display.

Yeah, the pixel ROM didn't change anything. It looks better in dark mode, just going to have to live with it.
