Hello guys!
The Screen On application was a success and we thought it could be a great idea to expand the abilities of this application. We developed a new application called App Auto Settings, that works exactly as the Screen On application but let's you take control not only of the screen, but of WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, GPS and volume!
We have tested the app in as many devices as we could and it works fine, but please try it and report any bugs, suggestions or ideas, we cannot test it in all those mobile phones...
AppAutoSettings @ Android Market
Thx for share.
Not seeing option for GPS on SGSII.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Edit: 20/11/2011
So is this a beta limitation? or a limitation of GB where programs can not call for GPS on without user request like Tasker?
well, that's my bad...
at first, we wanted to take control of the GPS, but unfortunately for security reasons (good in my opinion), Google decided that only the user will be able to enable and disable the GPS, so we removed it from the application.
The screenshot though is old, and I will replace it!
Thank you for noticing it!
OK, I'm confused. No offense, but it is not very intuitive. I just downloaded it, and I cannot tell the difference between Red and Green on the Screen Timeout in the On Charge profile, and either way I set it, the screen timed out! Also, on WiFi and such, what's the difference between Red, Green and the white box? I also don't see my Navigation app.

thnx for the suggestion might try it out later but it seems alot of people are complaining on battery consumption this app is doing to the device
I used to use Sensorlock, which unlocked by rotating on axis 360 degree, but sometimes didnt work, and it locked up when my alarm went off,
Now i;m using TouchLockPro, and its great! Its got a million different ways to unlock the phone, but i just use the function which you touch the sensor button on the d-pad 3x to unlock. Seems to work perfectly most of the time, except it sometimes take 4-5-6 touches sometimes.
(also if you do get this, and set it up, In cleanRam, exclude the process as it is hard to re-open the program after cleanRam shuts it down)
Cheers
+1 for touchlockpro
also you can check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478606

Like it! nice app!
Thanks!
Clean interface and very easy to use. 5*.
Hi tried it and I said: "Wonderful"!!
Awesome app. Exactly what I was looking for!
Can you make this available on www.Slideme.org please. Thank you.
Sure
http://slideme.org/application/kitchen-timer
Thank you for a great app, migrated from iPhone and one of the apps I used a lot was the "Kitchenaid timer". This is just what I needed!
Just what I was looking for to time lectures and presentations.
If I might be so bold so as to suggest two improvements?
1. I'd like to be able to slide away the setting window after I've hit the start button.
2. I'd like the program to detect when I've got the device in landscape mode.
Both with the goal of increasing the screen real estate given to the countdown so that I might be able to see it from more of a distance. I'd wager this would be useful to people using this as a kitchen timer as well if they're trying to cook dishes concurrently.
But 5 stars, awesome app. Thank you, does exactly what I was looking for.
This was a great app. Where did it go?

I was just wondering the same. I wanted to install it on my wife's phone and couldn't find it in the app store.
Homepage : http://bitbucket.org/nicobo/switchdataswitch
SwitchDataSwitch adds an icon to the notification bar to (de)activate the wireless network (2G/3G/...) in 1 click

It's not for wifi, it only enables/disables data traffic.
What's the use of this app ?
Well I couldn't find one that offers this exact feature : other apps either open the network preferences screen (which then requires 1 more click), or don't offer a direct access from the notification bar.
I'm using it everyday to save some battery (at least it was not useless work ).
How to install it ?
Install SwitchDataSwitch via Android Market :
Or through other ways (including .apk download) : http://bitbucket.org/nicobo/switchdataswitch/wiki/Installing
Note : It makes use of the application "DataSwitch", so you'll be offered to install it if you don't have it already (I am not affiliated with DataSwitch however, and I don't even know its developer...).
For developers
This is my first app, and I'll be glad if anyone could give me feedback about it.
It uses some tricks that might not be fully compliant with all devices...
If you're interested into how I could use the notification bar without having an icon displayed, head to : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286318. This post describes how to code the most interesting part of this application !
Cool. I'll give it a try.
Edit: This works great. It's nice to be able to turn off data with one click. This might help keep me from going over my 5 gigs/month like I did last month.

Thanks for your feedback !
Btw, to help you manage your 'gigs' addiction you should try this nice app : 3G Watchdog (not mine).
Don't hesitate to tell me if you need more features with SwitchDataSwitch !
I'm looking for it but I can't figure whats the name....
It allows you to monitor your data/wifi traffic from the quick panel....
let me know if you can help me

Hi mate,
Yeah the app in reference is My Data Monitor. See the link below to the android market listing.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mobidia.android.mdm&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tb2JpZGlhLmFuZHJvaWQubWRtIl0.
Thanks man !
Thanks OP for bringing this up
My Data Manager
Can anyone tell me if we can change the top icons: Wifi, bluetooth, GPS, Silent mode, auto rotation.
The aTT model has Airplane mode up there and I want that instead of Silent mode.
Thanks
thanks, great app !
I'm using Onavo which is also excellent for data monitoring...

I think one needs root for the above add-on, correct?
Yep. Widgetsoid can also be used, doesn't require Root (although it'll add a second row to do it, which may or may not be welcome news).
How do I disable the haptoc feedback from the HTC Calculator Application? I already have haptoc feedback off yet it vibrates still.
Sent from my HTC One X
Unless the app is recompiled, there is no way to change it. It is very annoying.

Get the free version of RealCalc from the play store, fantastic calculator and has a lot of features. I find myself needing its conversion features a lot, and you can turn the vibrate off. There's a paid version too which ends up giving you a crazy amount of features, which I bought purely to support the devs.

I have an unrootetd S5, just donwloaded the real calc app, but don't see an option to disable vibrations. Where is this done?

You dug up a two year old thread for that question? It's right in the settings, you can't miss it.
